This is a nice customer service oriented restaurant. They are quick and fast to get up your order. Refills are free and self served. Now, everybody in this town seems to want to go at noon everyday. Therefore, if you go at this time, you will be in a long line. I recommend going at 11am or 1 pm to avoid the long lines and long wait. I usually go at 11 to beat the crowd before they get there. We moved to town last summer. It took 6 months to get food here because we've gone to the drive-thru twice and left because of how pathetically slow they are. We finally got food and I don't know if we will ever go back. Out of 8 tacos ordered with no lettuce, 6 had some amount of lettuce on them. The single Doritos Locos taco that was ordered didn't have enough "meat" on it to be called a taco. The two orders of nachos with cheese had a TOTAL of less than 20 nachos in them. I didn't bother calling because I feel like they obviously don't care or they wouldn't be letting their staff work this terribly. The reason I choose Taco Bell is because of the plethora of options they serve for vegetarians. Typically the combo meals such as the (limited edition) nacho fries box contain beef. The beauty of the menu is you can substitute beans for the meat on whatever your heart desires. Not only is the food delicious, it is cheap! The average student eats about 7-9$ meals in the cafeteria. Taco Bell provides food for 4-7$! I assume most of you reading this have had Taco Bell at least once in your life. For those who have not, Job 34:3 says, "for the ear tests words as the palate tastes food." I have told you all what Taco Bell means to me. If you have not had Taco Bell or have had a bad first experience, I implore you to try again. This particular Taco Bell has declined significantly over the last months. Back around Christmas, my 6 year old and I drove all the way from Cleveland to Ooltewah just to get some tacos. The drive-thru was packed so we opted to go inside to get our order. After ordering and grabbing a seat, other patrons began to complain about the long wait. Feeling bad for the employees, I chose to just sit there and not say anything. We got our order in a decent amount of time and left. The drink area was horrible though and needed to be cleaned. This past weekend, we once again went to this location to grab some supper before heading home and once again, we went inside. As we walked in, before we could order, another customer was complaining about a hair being in their taco. I didn't let it bother me and I continued to order. I ordered my usual #4 with no tomatoes and some other items. I noticed that the drink area was still nasty and unkempt. We got our order and came home. After opening my #4, it was loaded with tomatoes. As much as I use to like this location, we will not be back for a while. I'm not sure what caused the decline, but management needs to take a look and make some changes. read more

My boyfriend & I come to this taco bell a lot as it is one of the only places open late in Ooltewah. During the day the food is great but we have had one too many experiences like the one we had tonight when we go after 8pm. The employees are rude & have an attitude like you are an inconvenience for being there, say they are out of stuff but then turn around and put the same stuff on the food you order. They said they were out of nacho fries & we asked to have chips with cheese instead in our boxes. When we got home the cheese cup was under half full, you had to scrape the bottom to even get any on the chip. Our tacos had almost no meat or toppings on them & the burritos we got were half full. If you don't want to work late don't get a job at a fast food place that stays open until 2am. My friends and I were traveling and stopped in for a quick late dinner. It was extremely crowded with guests lined up to the door. The drive thru was wrapped around the building. We almost left and ended up being there for about an hour. However, the food was delicious. We had special requests and they were followed. The cashier was very kind and never showed any frustration or anxiousness with the amount of customers. The kitchen team worked well with one another to serve everyone in a timely manner. One of the things that was very refreshing was seeing the manager working side by side with the team and encouraging them. That is a rarity and is a true sign of leadership. I think too often we only give reviews when things are bad. I wanted to ensure that the service did not go unnoticed! I hope this message gets to the team members regarding a job well done. Usually go through the drive through here. It doesn't take that long which is my Cheif complaint with drive through service. Our last visit was at a time with a really long line but it only took about 10 minutes to get through and get our food. The food is usually made correctly and with as much love as you would expect. I went to this place twice. The first time, I waited 16 minutes in the drive thru when there were only 3 cars in front of me. When I got to the front, they had my order completely wrong (I ordered 3 potato tacos, they gave me 1 beef burrito). For whatever reason, I decided to go again. First of all, writing "customer service" comments on a fast food place is just silly, since these places have more turnover than the ninth circuit court of appeals. If a grumpy teen was your problem, just give it an hour. That same teen will probably be bagging your groceries at Wal-mart on the way home, with a humbled attitude. The food here is awesome if you like (brace yourself) Taco Bell food, which I do. Yes, the drive through is long, because, guess why? People LIKE this place. Some of these reviews remind me of the Yogi Berra quote "Nobody goes to that restaurant anymore. It's too crowded." Worst customer service I have ever experienced they mixed up my order with someone else, so I patently waited in line inside after I had just waited forever in the drive through line. The other person that had gotten my order by mistake came in and explained what happened surpassing the line. They ended up giving me back the cold food this stranger had touched and brought back in. I know this because you can clearly see where they make the food, and they only handed me back the food once they had both of the mixed up food bags, the wrappers were not even rewraped in the bag. I asked if it was fresh or if they had just swapped it out, he proceeded to tell me they just remaid it. I asked to speak with a manager... sadly it turned out that he in fact was the manager. We feed our elderly shut-in neighbor daily and a lot of his food comes from Taco Bell. A few months ago they messed up drive-thru order of 3 sides of pintos & cheese. I took a photo of the order which looked like black beans with red tortilla chips on top and went in last Sat. (May 13th) around 3:30 p.m. and the (apparent) manager said she wouldn't replace them as she didn't even know if they came from there. I told her that we have spent hundreds of dollars at her store and that I was a busy person with a job and other responsibilities and this was a leisurely Saturday when I was in the neighborhood and happened to think about it and pulled the photo up on my phone. She said sorry, I should have come back within a week or called. I told her neither I nor my family members will ever spend another penny there and she was okay with that. I went to Taco Bell on my lunch break last night about 1:40 a.m. I sat in the drive through for at least 10 min. Before I blew my horn. The guy in the window turned around and seen me sitting there, but just turned back around like he didn't. Other cars just gave up and left, but I needed to eat so I waited. Finally, I called the store and he answered. I asked if they were open and he replied "uhhhh why yes of course ". So I told him I've been sitting in the drive through for 15 minutes now. He had the audacity to argue with me, saying he didn't here the beep. Then, he disappeared briefly and came back to the window with headsets on. With major sarcasm, he came across the intercom with "it's a wonderful day at Taco Bell, can I take your order ha ha ha ha". I wasn't about to order anything after our argument on the phone, so I just left. I've never experienced anything like that before and frankly I'm irritated as hell about it. This happened on 4/18/2017, Tuesday morning 1:45 a.m.). This dude needs to have a reality check and get fired for costing Taco Bell several customers, and for just being a blatant rude punk. read more

I ordered a tostada and a bean burrito with extra cheese add sour cream. What I received was a tostada with all of its topping off the tortilla in the box....what little toppings there were....my burrito had very little cheese on it and a dime size squirt of sour cream found at one end of the burrito...the beans were burnt tasting. Unfortunately the dining room was closed. Only the drive through was open. No manager would come to the door. I would have had to go through the drive through again that had 10 cars in line to possibly get to a manager. So much for the newly remodeled, updated taco bell. My food was horrible and no manager to speak to. This happened on Sept 20, 2014. My advice would be not to go there after 11pm when the dining area is closed and no manager will come to the door when your food is wrong. read more

Took the family through the drive thru even though the line was very long. We had virtually no wait at all because the staff were working so hard to get all the customers taken care of. We had a fairly long and complicated order and I thought for sure that just by human error something would get mixed up but to my surprise, our food was prepared very fast and everything in the order was correct. They even gave me the plenty of mild sauce that I requested (usually that request results in a total of three packets). The cashier who took care of us (a pretty, young female with dark tone skin and light eyes and curly brown hair, I believe) was so incredibly nice and customer service oriented. I would say she gave the best customer experience that I have seen from a fast food establishment. Also, I tried a few different things on the menu, but my favorite is the nacho cheese Doritos cheesy gordita crunch supreme! Highly recommend! read more
