We later found out that gratuity had already been added beforehand "for a big group," even though there were only six of us. Because we were unaware that gratuity had already been included, we ended up leaving two tips totaling $48. This was very frustrating, but we decided to move on and enjoy our meal. Unfortunately, it then took almost 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, the order was incorrect. When we tried to explain to the staff that the food was wrong, they were not helpful and were initially unwilling to fix the issue. They brought the same incorrect food back, and we had to explain multiple times that the burger was not the one my sister had ordered. Eventually, they told us it was "only missing one ingredient." At that point, my sister was exhausted and anxious from having to explain the issue so many times, so she ultimately just ate the incorrect food. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially because we were on vacation and had been looking forward to visiting. I told her that customer service is about treating customers with respect and speaking to them politely. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to resolve the issue, she continued arguing with me and said she didn't believe me. She insisted there were only two pieces of meat and that they weigh their portions. Even if you weigh your meat, that is no excuse to speak to a paying customer in such a rude and disrespectful manner. Customers should never be insulted for asking a reasonable question about the food they paid for. The attitude was terrible, and the burrito itself was extremely disappointing because there was hardly any meat inside. Poor food quality combined with even worse customer service is a recipe for losing customers. I would never expect to be treated this way at a restaurant. Management seriously needs to address how employees speak to customers. You can have policies about portion sizes, but basic respect and professionalism should always be required.
