Got a chalupa meal &the chalupa bread was stale I don't normally say anything but the meal was $14 so I walked back and asked about having it remade. Filipino manager lady was upset that I complained it was stale- they remade it and she just slid the bag over to me, no apology.. kinda rude. Oh yeah, we went to Taco Bell on our Hawaiian vacay! After a long day on the Road to Hana, TB was the only place open- which was great because we were looking for something quick and filling. The entire drive thru screen was black/out of order but it wasn't like we needed a menu haha. The staff were really friendly, timely, and didn't mind when we asked for extra hot sauce packets. Their menu board wasn't working and their microphone was barely audible so we pulled forward to the window to place the order. The employee told us we would have to drive back around that he couldn't take the order there it could only be taken at the menu board that didn't work.. and didn't seem to understand that the voices coming through the headset he was listening to and the voices coming out of our mouths came from the same place. I went to this Taco Bell in Kihei (1819 S. Kihei Rd) to pick up my order on 9/25/23 at around 12noon. When I went in, no one was at the counter. I spoke up and asked in a loud voice, "Hello! Hello! Anyone here?" No one came. So I went to the side of the counter where I could see a few workers. I waved my arms and said loudly, "Hello? Anyone here?" No one came. So I had to go behind the counter and yelled again, "hello can somebody help me?" Finally, someone came and got my pre-ordered food. But they said, "don't come in the back of the counter." So I said, "sure, I didn't want to but no one was here. I even waved and yelled and no one came. It's your fault for not having anyone in front." Now, it was clearly their fault but the lady manager had a bad attitude and didn't even apologize and told me never to come pick up food there again. Some guy in the back even repeated that. Taco Bell is Taco Bell. It was New Year's day and not all too much was open around us. We didn't want to travel far for a quick lunch, so we ended up here. The food tasted just as I would expect it to. I prefer the quesadillas with extra spicy sauce. The staff was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice. They were polite, helpful, and sweet. Workers take pride in their establishment. They don't skimp on the filling, and the presentation is the best I've ever seen. Even though there are lots of tourists who will likely not notice or appreciate the care taken, the workers do it anyway. The workers keep the location really clean too. They don't just idle behind the counter when there is nothing to do; they come out and make sure the condiments are restocked and tables wiped. Very impressed! read more
