    Vegan Tacos

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and these are some of the best vegan tacos we have ever ate. The flavor combination is amazing. So simple yet full of flavor. Kids loved their chicken tacos and bean n cheese burrito. Highly recommend Yellow Belly food truck for awesome food at a great price.

Food was okay, but for spending $80 worth of food. I think these need a little more love into them. Wished the birria quesadilla was crispy on the outside and the cheese not burnt. Wished the birria ramen had just a little more broth to it. I got the elotes as well one of the corn on the stick did taste spoiled.

    Birria Tacos were ok.

Went to 4th Friday in Kihei the other night and saw they had birria tacos, so I got super excited. The line was long but moved quickly I ordered the Birria Taco Special (2 tacos for $13) and my son got the Supreme Chicken Quesadilla ($11). We got our order fairly quick, considering it was super busy. The tacos were kind of a miss for me. I wanted them to be crunchier and the consomé to be WAY more flavorful. There was a lot of meat in the tacos and it was good. But, when I eat birria tacos, I want that broth to kick it up to the next level and it just didn't do that. My son liked his quesadilla, but that's hard to mess up, so not really a good gauge for me lol. Unfortunately, my birria expectations were not met that night.

This is not a sit down, all seating is outside and limited, but the food is totally worth the small inconvenience. The salsa and guacamole were very very good. Their regular salsa was smooth and seasoned well. Their medium salsa was great as well and had a little kick. The guac was just perfectly chunky and didn't have huge chunks of raw onion or tomato which we loved. The Anaconda Burrito had all the fix-ins and we added sour cream. We shared between 4 people, but it could easily be shared by 6. Some of us also don't usually like beans, lettuce, or onions, but we had no problem eating the burrito as is, it mixed together well. We also had the Tres Leches which was fresh and moist. Very light and well done. Overall, we will definitely recommend Acevedo's to friends and go back next time we are in Maui!

I've been here three times in the last week and a half, and I'm already planning another visit tomorrow. That's how good it is. Whether you're craving tacos, quesabirria, or their sides and salsas, you really can't go wrong. Consistently delicious food, generous portions, and a place I find myself recommending to everyone. If you're looking for some of the best tacos on the island, this is it.

Head over to Roasted Chiles if you want healthier Mexican flare on Maui!…read more Parents and I were craving some legit Mexican food so I told them we should go to Roasted Chiles since it's been awhile & it hit the spot. We ordered a basket of Chips and Salsa with a Side of Queso and annihilated that throughout the meal. I got myself a Zero Proof Guavalajara (Guava Margarita) and Mom got the $5 Margarita Special. Our waitress Geo was so friendly and checked up on us quite frequently & recommended the Drink Special to my mom. She also mentioned since it's Tuesday, they had $5 Taco Specials! They were full house inside so we enjoyed our meal outside which was nice to enjoy more relaxing vibes. Dad got the Pescado (Fish) Taco Plate which was Opakapaka and he annihilated 2 out of the 3. There was a chipotle crema on top and he said the Fish was nice and crispy since it was battered with tempura. Mom and I got enchiladas, she got Mineras (Vegetable option) & I got the Picadillo (Ground Beef with potatoes) enchiladas. It's definitely a good portion with 3 enchiladas with lettuce, radish slices, crema on top and a side of Rice with corn and carrots throughout and Creamy Pinto Beans! To finish our meal, we scored the last slice of the Strawberry Vanilla Tres Leches Cake! Perfectly soaked with the three milks, a little dash of strawberry jam on top and light strawberry whipped cream topping and filling. Geo said the last piece was the largest! Thanks to Geo and the staff at Roasted Chiles for making our dinner a delicious experience!

When I brought it up, I was told, "Yeah, we keep meaning to update the menus." I've been eating here for years, so who knows how long this has been going on. That's not just misleading, it's a serious issue for vegetarians and anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions. There are much better places to spend your money. Skip this one.

No worries; it's worth waiting for. She gave me a pager, and we watched the chickens while we waited for our 4 soft birria tacos. As always, it was worth the wait. The burria was plentiful, with cilantro and diced onion, on the tacos. The flavor was excellent, especially with their tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of fresh lime. Glad to see the sliced radish, the pickled jalapeño and (oh, man) the marinated carrot slices! As if that isn't good enough, we also got a burria burrito to go. Now, we have something to feast on tomorrow. Mucho Bueno!

Let's start by saying, they pulled into the pole position of my most delectable Mexican food bite and place in Hawaii (albeit only had on Oahu and Maii, lol). My order: Chorizo Burrito Bowl and maaayynnn Thai thing was loaded. Starts with a layer of rice, beans, chorizo, green and red cabbage, pico de gallo, avacado, topped with chipotle aioli. Then on the side is a lime, pickled carrots, jalapeño, radish, and I chose spicy salsa. The bowl is huge,, and i stuffed my face and finished every bite haha; it goes to say hot great it was. The rice and beans are a perfect layer of goodness, the crunch from the fresh veggies, that smoky and spicy (light) of the chorizo, richness of that avacado, and finished off with that nice creamy aioli. Then I hit it with the kick or the lime and extra spice of the salsa. I'm in heaven. Oh then add side tart, tangy, and crunchy bites of the pickled veg. Waaaaawhoooo was my tummy happy. I'd like to say, I want to come back and all their other options such as their soft and questo tacos or biria. However as I am not in Maui much, probably going back for my home run. Hopefully next time someone else is with me so I can try their choices haha. The staff were friendly and food came out in good time. They are located on the back side of the food truck area, so don't pass them by if you just jump into the main area. Definitely recommend them for all who havent.

You know a place is legit when you gotta pay it in cash. The owners are always so friendly and the prices keep me coming back as well since everything on Maui, especially Mexican food can now be $17-20 for a plate sadly. I'm so glad they brought their Tamales back so I had to order that. I always order the Preparado because they add all the fixings, lettuce, tomato, lots of cilantro and onion and the crema. Their tacos are delicious as well and my go to is their Al Pastor & Carne Asada. Honestly a great taco to me can just have the simplicity of Cilantro and Onion. Not to mention adding their homemade salsas! I could taste the slight char of the tomatillos and peppers they use in the salsa which made every bite so scrumptious. The green salsa was mild and red was hot but for my taste, it was a perfect medium. Don't forget to wash it down with a Jarrito! They used to sell Mexican products but I can see they simplified to food and drink which in my opinion is top notch, food and cost wise. That's what always keeps me coming back!
