    Fish Burrito

Very good burritos. Very clean food. Small place. Down to earth. Nice people. Nothing crazy. Good prices.

We discovered this place years ago. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Family run, super friendly. LOVE the fish tacos, tamales preparado, chicken tacos... everything is so yummy. A hidden gem.

Hidden jem in Kihei one of the best taco spots on Maui. I have been coming here for years. The food is fresh authentic and delicious. The family that owns this place is so sweet and just good people. It's small inside with a few tables nice cool a/c. The only mexican place I go to on the south side.

Torta was great. Made to order. Bread nice hot and toasty. Torta special mayo sauce is good. Staff nice and very enthusiastic considering the hours the lovely staff works.

This is my top 3 Mexican joints to go! The taste is just as close to mainland style. It's not white washed type of Mexican food. The only issue I have is that the burritos are not tightly packed-its loose. This place is located off of Lipoa St by the storage units.

One of my favorite authentic Mexican food spots! My usual is the fish burrito with hot salsa and it's always so good. Service is friendly and prices are great for the quality of food you get :)

I finally decided to try this place as I remember seeing yelper Karen G check in here on multiple occasions. Walked in & was quickly greeted, I knew this was gonna be good. Decided to go with one fish & one chicharron taco. I was then told that it just be a few minutes & if I wanted salsa to put on them, there was an area off to the side. Guess she could tell this was my first time. Didnt wait long & they were ready. Got home, opened them up & there was no doubt that there were onions in there. Those fumes were fuming. The fish one came with some sort of white sauce which complemented it well. The chicharron tasted just as expected however in a softer form. Not sure if they were crunchy to start & just from the drive home they became soft. Very tasty, but this one came with no sauce. The salsa was more on the liquid side, I do like a little chunkier type when it's going on tacos, but this one was still good. Yummy with a good price point, I will be back to try other stuff as I have seen lots of other yelpers mentioning the ceviche.

Saw excellent reviews so finally got to try. Glad I did. Got the chicharon taco and a carnitas taco. Upon ordering lady at the counter asked if red sauce was ok? Normally prepared with verde sauce. Well the red sauce was awesome, idk how it is with the green but but I loved it with the red. Chicharon was soft and flavorful. Carnitas was tender, could have used a little more salt but that is to my taste. Both tacos were served with the perfect amount of queso tomatoes onions and cilantro where none of them overpowered the food. Simple place with friendly staff, decent prices and excellent food. Highly recommend and definitely earned a repeat customer On my second visit, I got the tamal preparado and a taco carnita. Taco was as good as the last time. The tamal was moist, not dry like how tamales can so often be, and flavorful. So delicious. This is going to be my go to dish when I come here

    Order here. Cash only.

Dropped in here for a quick lunch while in the area and was happy to have a good meal in a nice clean spot. I beat the lunchtime crowd and was greeted by the friendly hostess and ordered a couple of items which came out really quickly. Taco was good, but the tamale preparado was awesome. I could eat that every day. Good selection of salsas and also picked onion slices. The warm and genuine service was so nice. I will return here again when in Kihei.

I ordered the 1. Carnitas Taco and the 2. Pastor Taco.

The flavors were ok, but everything leaned a bit too smoky for me which was a little unexpected and the cabbage overwhelmed the burrito more than it complimented them. Not sure if that's just the style of the food from the region, it just wasn't for me that night, but my other half seemed to enjoy it. That said, I still really appreciate what this spot is all about. Everything is made to order, from tacos and mulitas to quesadillas and their Sunday-only barbacoa (get there early if you want to try it--it's first come, first served!). What keeps me rooting for them is that they're a non-profit and proceeds go toward supporting the children and youth of local churches. So even if my meal wasn't as memorable this time, I'm still happy to support a business that's doing good in the community. Would I go back? Yeah, probably--especially on a Sunday to try the barbacoa. Just hoping for a little more balance the next time around.

We were greeted/seated right away and sat with a breezy ocean view of Molokai and Lanai. The vibe is island casual, lots of funny signs and sports on TVs in the adjacent bar. We enjoyed the Mexicali Skillet and our service was friendly and quick! Next up, same day Happy Hour where we met Brett behind the bar. I didnt but a friend did and he ate it all! I had the fajitas which did not come on a traditional sizzling platter but on a plate covered in melted cheese. It all tasted good but one of the best parts of fajitas is the opening smell of piping hot meat, onions and peppers with smoke trailing the server on the way to the table. Oh well. Enchiladas that someone had were also very good. they were plates balance with beans and rice covered in sauce. One rub I had was they were tight on the chips and salsa. One basket per four people and then they were charged. I get it if we were a bunch of surfers coming in and ordering one burrito and a coke. But we dropped hundreds and were a large party of 8. The server should be able to read the room and not be so chintzy on a freebie that costs pennies. One last thing is that don't sit in a booth to watch the sunset as you will sizzle like the fajitas that never did. you are in an enclosed area and will bake with the sun shining in hitting you on the back or your table mate across from you right in the eyes. we were relieved when the sun finally set.
