Yessssss!!! We were in the mood for tacos today and our favorites were the shrimp and steak! Our friends rave about the shrimp mulitas. Additionally, our Argentinian landlords are obsessed with this place so I feel that gives this place even more steet cred. Get one of each of the sauces they are fireeee If a worker or owner reads this, could you please consider adding side tortilla chips/ side avocado/guac to the menu? Thank u xoxo

A co-worker recommended visiting and the tacos were superb! Quality taste and loved the hot sauce added with it, a classic taco joint for those looking for something simple and sweet! - Miguel Morales Photography

Just visited Guadalajara Tacos. Recommended by friends, I've been meaning to try them. I like food trucks because it's quick and easy to take to the beach for a meal with a view. Anyway, this place is easy to find; right next to the Aloha Marketplace. We ordered a pair of fish tacos and a burrito with shredded pork. We also got tomatillo and avacado sauces. We share and share alike. The fish tacos were good. Lots of fish nuggets but they were a little dry. Maybe cooked a bit longer than they should be. A splash of sauce helped. A little cabbage & cilantro. Nice that it had 2 tortillas because it helped hold everything together. One taco was probably enough to hold me over, but that burrito was sitting there, beckoning. We cut it in half and it looked really good. Doctored it up with the sauces and dug in. The pulled pork was delicious. Just the right amount of beans and more rice that I would have wanted but the rice was tasty, so okay. The burrito was grilled, so the tortilla had a nice texture, too. I probably would have given them 4 1/2 stars, but the girl at the window was especially helpful and pleasant, so there's a solid 5 stars.

Guadalajara tacos was overall a great experience! The staff is super warm and friendly, their truck/outdoor set up was a cute ambiance & has some parking spots out front, and the burritos we got were delicious and made to order. The chicken and steak were very flavorful and the burritos were a good size, especially for the price! We will definitely be back again soon

Boring Fish Taco, no pico no cream sauce. This is how it comes for $7

We are visiting from California and I love fish tacos and tacos in general. So we decided to stop by because we were in the mood for tacos and based on the reviews we said why not...well truly disappointed in the food. No pico de gallo, no flavor it's just blah. The mahi fish taco was so bland and no color or sauces that normally come with a fish taco and the same for the shrimp taco. I asked for Chorizo taco but they made me a carnitas one instead. The cashier is the lady's son and he was kind of nice but no personality. The food was mediocre and I wish there were better options. I'm Mexican and this was truly disappointing especially because the people are from Guadalajara so I expected more. I have not be back and don't recommend.

We've driven by this food truck many times but finally had time to stop. It is easy to find right next to Aloha Market place. They have a small lot for parking behind the market.. They have lots of choices we ordered fish tacos and a pork burrito. Girl working behind the window was helpful and answered all our questions. They have a couple shaded tables to wait at or eat on (lots of flies so chose to go home to eat) the tacos were very filling- fish was small fried nuggets. The burrito was heavy and happlily the tortilla around it held together very well. and had lots of meat/ rice and beans-easily 2 could share. We will definately go back here again.

Head over to Roasted Chiles if you want healthier Mexican flare on Maui!…read more Parents and I were craving some legit Mexican food so I told them we should go to Roasted Chiles since it's been awhile & it hit the spot. We ordered a basket of Chips and Salsa with a Side of Queso and annihilated that throughout the meal. I got myself a Zero Proof Guavalajara (Guava Margarita) and Mom got the $5 Margarita Special. Our waitress Geo was so friendly and checked up on us quite frequently & recommended the Drink Special to my mom. She also mentioned since it's Tuesday, they had $5 Taco Specials! They were full house inside so we enjoyed our meal outside which was nice to enjoy more relaxing vibes. Dad got the Pescado (Fish) Taco Plate which was Opakapaka and he annihilated 2 out of the 3. There was a chipotle crema on top and he said the Fish was nice and crispy since it was battered with tempura. Mom and I got enchiladas, she got Mineras (Vegetable option) & I got the Picadillo (Ground Beef with potatoes) enchiladas. It's definitely a good portion with 3 enchiladas with lettuce, radish slices, crema on top and a side of Rice with corn and carrots throughout and Creamy Pinto Beans! To finish our meal, we scored the last slice of the Strawberry Vanilla Tres Leches Cake! Perfectly soaked with the three milks, a little dash of strawberry jam on top and light strawberry whipped cream topping and filling. Geo said the last piece was the largest! Thanks to Geo and the staff at Roasted Chiles for making our dinner a delicious experience!

When I brought it up, I was told, "Yeah, we keep meaning to update the menus." I've been eating here for years, so who knows how long this has been going on. That's not just misleading, it's a serious issue for vegetarians and anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions. There are much better places to spend your money. Skip this one.

I'm Mexican and born and raised in California, so I definitely know what authentic tastes like. After doing some research, we decided to try Amigos. We walked up and were nicely greeted and seated right away. Our waitress came over quickly, took our drink order, and brought chips and salsa to the table. Drinks arrived shortly after, and she took our order promptly. She did warn us the food might take a little longer, but to our surprise, everything came out fairly quickly. We ordered: Tilapia plate with rice and beans Carne asada plate with rice and beans Cheeseburger and fries The tilapia was really good super flavorful. Honestly, I normally wouldn't order tilapia back home, but being on the island, I figured it would be fresh, and it was. The rice was really good. The beans were about a 5/10 for me, but I understand we're on the island and things are different than back home. Tortillas were also about a 5/10 so-so, but again, expected for being off the mainland. The carne asada wasn't authentic ranchera meat; it was more like a steak-cut piece. Still, the flavor was good. Same rating on the beans 5/10 but the rice was solid. Service was great across the board. The food was good overall not the most authentic, but flavorful and satisfying. The ambiance felt like a classic Mexican restaurant: Spanish music playing (not too loud, which I love because you can actually talk at the table), TVs on with a game playing, and people at the bar having a great time cheering on their team. Very lively and friendly atmosphere. They also have outdoor patio seating, which is a plus. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Good service, good flavors, and a fun ambiance. I'd definitely come back and would recommend trying this place when you're in Maui. Thank you, Amigos!

You know a place is legit when you gotta pay it in cash. The owners are always so friendly and the prices keep me coming back as well since everything on Maui, especially Mexican food can now be $17-20 for a plate sadly. I'm so glad they brought their Tamales back so I had to order that. I always order the Preparado because they add all the fixings, lettuce, tomato, lots of cilantro and onion and the crema. Their tacos are delicious as well and my go to is their Al Pastor & Carne Asada. Honestly a great taco to me can just have the simplicity of Cilantro and Onion. Not to mention adding their homemade salsas! I could taste the slight char of the tomatillos and peppers they use in the salsa which made every bite so scrumptious. The green salsa was mild and red was hot but for my taste, it was a perfect medium. Don't forget to wash it down with a Jarrito! They used to sell Mexican products but I can see they simplified to food and drink which in my opinion is top notch, food and cost wise. That's what always keeps me coming back!
