The chips that are teeny fragments of grown up chips

Just put this place out of its misery and close it down already. The drive thru guy was as unfriendly as they come. My order was so simple they couldn't really screw it up however they managed to slip in a new item on me. My nacho chips and cheese sauce was a half filled serving bag of nacho crumbs. Not bad if I were covering a salad or casserole but to scoop cheese sauce? Thank goodness for napkins. Would have returned them at the window but frankly I tire of trying with this place. Go down the road a couple miles and hit the new one in Manchester. It's a gem compared to this sorry loserville

    Dried out, old refried beans.

I try not to leave negative reviews, but when I am served food that is a potential hazard.... that changes things. These refried beans were covered in lettuce and tomatoes. Three bites in I noticed a weird taste. When I flipped over my tostada I was appalled with what I saw. Food born illness is no joke. The refried beans were literally hard. NOT COOL. Making people sick because of laziness and negligence is deplorable. Get it together Taco Bell!!

Now you can't tell by looking at me but born raise form my mom who doesn't speak English so I grew up in Mexican food, authentic Mexican food. So always the test is the beans that's right Mexican know what I'm talking about. A true Mexican restaurant makes good beans. So I ordered my combination. I speak a few Spanish words to the waiter. He kinda looked at me funny. And he asked me about how I knew how to speak Spanish. Well, I told him I was half Mexican. I told him I will be testing the beans that's the true test. Well they passed. The beans were amazing. The chili rellino were amazing. The tamale was great. For all the white people out there this is good Mexican food for all the Mexicans. It's good enough for you to dine. Enjoy.

Full disclosure this is for takeout so maybe it's a better experience inside. Speaking of inside, the ambience of the restaurant was fine. Not too crowded but a handful of patrons. The decor was cute and the music was a nice touch. I ordered a combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a chicken taco with a hard shell. I selected refried beans and Mexican rice as my sides. The sides were tasty. The enchilada was fine but the cheese tasted like American cheese, and the taco was disappointing. I expected a homemade fried hard shell but instead It was something from the grocery store and hardly filled with chicken. A homemade taco shell and more filling would go along way. Plus adding toppings like sour cream and pico-I believe those could be added for an extra cost. My husband ordered the fajita nachos. He said they were good but I was a little thrown off by the American cheese sauce instead of the more traditional melted jack and cheddar cheese for nachos. I really enjoyed their chips and salsa. Check this place out for yourself!

The staff was very nice and our foods came out pretty quick, while you wait you are served chips and salsa, their salsa was so good! We ordered the following: - empanadas (chicken, beef, & pork) My favorite was probably the pork and cheese one, had the best flavor second is beef. I normally like chicken but was my least fave of the 3. - quesabirrias; Birria tacos w/ consommé + rice & beans So good, great flavor throughout, beef cooked perfectly. Even the refried beans had a great consistency, not overcooked and heavy. - Birria quesadilla w/ consommé + rice + Very cheesy good. The birria consommé was used and dripped into every bite! our meal here was great, felt great, perfect fullness without going overboard! Nice happy ride back down to Boston!

We arrived about an hour before closing & had no issues getting a table for two. Shortly after receiving utensils and the menus, we were given complimentary chips & salsa! The salsa was tasty & has a nice kick to it. I found it very additive to eat with the chips. We ended up ordering these dishes to try: - empanadas (chicken, beef, & pork) - quesabirrias; Birria tacos w/ consommé + rice & beans - Birria quesadilla w/ consommé + rice + salad OMG, everything tasted AMAZING! All of our dishes came PIPING hot, including the consommé dips for the Birria tacos and quesadilla. The quesabirrias were my favorite & star of the show for me. They were perfectly crispy, seasoned well, & I also loved how light (yet still flavorful) the consommé was! This came with rice & beans and let me tell you... I normally don't even eat refried beans but I couldn't help myself today because I find that refried beans can be too thick & sometimes burnt. This was not the case today though! Also paired super well with the rice & a little lime. The Birria quesadilla was yummy. It was loaded with lots of meat & cheese. Great portion sizes! For our appetizer, we ordered one of each empanada protein option they had: one chicken, one beef, and one pork. I didn't have a favorite empanada because honestly they were all really tasty! Full of flavor & came loaded with cheese. I will definitely be back again the next time I'm in Manchester, NH! Service was wonderful, restaurant was clean, & food was perfect. Highly recommend trying El Rincon Zacatecano if you find yourself in the area ;)

The tortillas were extremely hard and difficult to bite into, which completely ruined the tacos for me. I also ordered a shrimp gordita, and I have to give them credit: it was AMAZING! It was definitely the best thing we ordered. Unfortunately, the pupusas were extremely greasy. I've eaten plenty of pupusas before, but I don't think I've ever had ones with that much grease. The restaurant was also very empty when we visited, but I do want to mention that the young woman who took our order was incredibly nice. She was genuinely sweet and provided excellent customer service. Would I go back? Probably not. It definitely wasn't the best Mexican food I've had in New Hampshire. The gordita was delicious and the service was wonderful, but the tacos and pupusas were disappointing.

They offer full service dining, takeout, and DoorDash delivery. The bright dining has long bar with seating to the left and plenty of table seating, yellow & brown painted walls, and a colorful mural. I stopped in for dinner at Iguana's very recently. The place was not too busy and I could sit anywhere I wanted. The owner greeted me and brought out complementary crunchy tortilla chips & red tomato salsa. He also brought out homemade green salsa, which was very good. I ordered water, a Poland Spring bottle ($2) and the Chicken Fajitas ($13.50 plus tax) served with rice and black beans. The chicken fajitas were served very hot on a skillet with fresh red & green peppers, onions, yellow zucchini and tender strips of chicken breast, a bit oily on the skillet. The side plate had soft Mexican rice, cup of black beans, and a green salad with pico de gallo. There was no guacamole or sour cream on the plate. I did have to request warm soft tortillas (I got 2) after being served. The portion of food was very generous and I was very full, so no dessert. Overall, I had a good dinner at Iguana's. The food was fresh, tasty, and very filling. What I liked about this place is that it was laid back and not mobbed or very busy like the other sitdown Manchester Mexican restaurants including Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, La Carreta, and Mi Jalisco. I actually had a good quiet dinner with the owner checking up on me to see how things were.

I said I would like to place an order to go and she grabbed her pad. I ordered the following menu items so we could give them a try and see if they compared to our favorite Mexican place. 1st I said I'd like to get the Mexican Steak and I had to point at the menu item-the lady said NO, I said ok can I get the Steak Ranchero she said ok then I said with NO beans, she repeated no beans to me, I said yes, then she said ok. 2nd I said I would like the Solocarne Fajitas-I asked if I could do half chicken half beef she said NO, I said ok-then she said ok. 3rd I said I would like the guacamole and she said NO. 4th I said I would like to order some tacos. I said I want 2 chicken tacos, she said ok, I then said I want 2 steak tacos, she said ok and lastly I said I would like 2 Chorizo tacos, she said ok. She went to get the food ready. Without getting into details of watching that circus and having the uncomfortable silence I waited roughly 30 minutes while she heated up the food (she pulled all of it from her fridge and or her condiment station. I got the food and headed home so we could try it out again based on good reviews. The steak Ranchero steak was pale in color which told me either it was old or it was boiled either way it was terrible and chewy. I had said no bean I got beans which were gross along with the incredibly dried out rice. The Solocarne Fajitas steak was like the bits you get from the grease trap and chewy/fatty. The rice was just as dry as mine and the beans were gross. Even the veggies weren't good. Instead of 6 tacos we got just 4-2 chicken 1 steak and 1 chorizo. Not sure if I was charged for 6 or not because I was never given a detailed receipt. The taco shells were so dry we tossed them out, all the meat was so dry we didn't finish! The only thing that seemed good was the cilantro. This place in my opinion is terrible so I am very surprised at all the good reviews but to each their own.
