Sunday evening.. About 12 cars in line. Dining room closed. Left after waiting 30 minutes. Little movement. Obviously something wrong. App should stop taking orders read more

Idk what's been going on but in back to back to back (three peat) attempts to eat here they've managed to send me incomplete orders, granted it's kind of on me for not checking before leaving but definitely gonna be taking a break from coming back. One time they missed two grilled cheese burritos and another was missing an enchilada burrito that was supposed to be for a family member. I don't like to really yelp! over negative experiences but I genuinely can't believe how you can be missing multiple items in an order and send it out when the order itself isn't even that big read more

On Sunday January 15th around 1pm we walk into Taco Bell and went straight to the counter. Was attending a softball game at the park. Never been there before. With a big sign saying no counter service please use the kiosk. Short staffed !! I wasn't the only one to encounter this. So I asked an employee if he could be so kind and assist us. He said he had no idea how the kiosk worked. So I asked for a manager who made me wait about 25 mins. with no help. So this kind couple explained how it worked. Still waiting for the manager to acknowledge, we needed help. I was very disappointed evidently nobody cared. Not a way to conduct business. Or to have someone with that type of attitude to work for your business. Good Luck with that...... read more

Taco Bell - Very frustrating when you are on your way home after a long shift and you see this... - Fast Food Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Ever since they changed out the drive thru workers, they've been messing up orders left and right. ESP when I get this Asian lady at the window, she either takes My order wrong or gives me the wrong order. Never fails with her. Please bring back the old workers. They were amazing. read more

Hey Yelpers, I made an account to share this. I headed to Taco Bell after my long, long day at work. As I went through the Drive-Thru to pay for my meal, the worker was having difficulties with my coins. I get it, the younger generations don't learn change like we had to. This fella told me I didn't give him any coins. In fact, I did. I paid for my meal in exact change. Naturally, I'm exhausted and didn't want to put up a fight. So, I gave him it, confused. I don't understand why Taco Bell is hiring workers who don't know how to handle money, as that seems like one of the crucial parts to a job like this. For a fact, I know this worker pocketed my change, making me pay extra. I'm quite disappointed that a big corporation, like Taco Bell cannot put effort into hiring employees. It seems like they hire anybody, even the ones who didn't make it past primary school. Extremely disappointing.. read more

This place is truly horrible! Avoid this place. i've seen grass grow faster than this place can process an order. The drive-thru is wrapped around the building, twice! Shame on the management for not having the systems in place to serve their customers. read more

I've enjoyed getting food here for a while but I've started to realize that it's probably one of the worst Taco Bell's in the state. There's always a long line in the drive through and it takes forever just to get to the order window. Recently I also decided to order food online and pick it up in the store so that I could skip the line however I never even got my food. The order went through and I got billed but when I got to the store, the inside portion was closed due to being short staffed. Just go at your own risk and be ready to sit in a long line read more

I've experienced the slowest fast food service this past Saturday. We went to Taco Bell after yoga, yeah I know, burn off all those calories and then eat fast food, haha. Well the drive thru lane was so long so we decided to go inside to order. And then I figured out why the drive thru line was so long. There were so many people in line inside too. I was just standing in line and I could see that two people were on one register. I said why can't they have one of the people make another line on the other register. My answer became very clear when I came to the front of the line to order. They were training the girl. Probably not a very good day to train someone. Weekend at lunch. In addition to that I think they were short staffed. The lady helping the new person was wearing a headset like she was doing drive thru too. So I order my meals, 2 pepperoni personal pizzas, gordita combo, doubledilla, and quesadilla. Well the new girl didn't know how to input the pizzas on the machine so she said that I had to wait. She had to wait until the other lady came back from doing drive thru to help her. We waited for a while and then she came. Even getting our food took a while. What's even worse is that gordita combo was so small, we had to order again because it wouldn't be enough for my husband. So then I had to wait again. Maybe next time they should train new people on weekdays or nonbusy times. I hope it's better next time I go there. read more

$16 and got nothing. Online order placed for pickup and dining room was closed. Why? Sign on door said because of being short staffed. Could the app reflect when the dining room is closed? Sure... But it didn't. Could I have walked home to get the car and drive back - just to wait a 15-car-deep line at the drive-through? Sure, but that defeats the purpose of an online order. Luckily, chargebacks are easy. read more

I happily elect to give this local food fave establishment the recognition it deserves by telling everyone how fast and accurate my orders come thru on a weekly basis! The price of 3 or 4 tacos runs approx $6 which is a meal for me! The service at the drive thru is very safe and efficient as they take Covid related precautions at the drive-thru window:) Who doesn't support a food establishment that Covid-cares?! Friendliest staff! I once thought I left a credit card but they were very nice about checking for me! read more

Taco Bell - It was THAT GOOD! I couldn't even wait to photograph it! "If you like it then you should've put it IN YOUR BELLY!" - Fast Food Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

If you don't like your job you should QUIT! Customer service sucks, the girl at the register was yelling at her co-worker before she helped us, and the second we ordered she toned her voice down quick. The food was okay. Same O Same O. Only reason for the 2 stars is for the mobile app. This place has it all over their store windows " order online and skip the line" I ordered online and came to see it was a long drive thru line. I called the store and asked where is the mobile app line. She said that I had to stay in the same long line as everyone else!?!? I asked why their windows stated there was a "skip the line option" she said I DONT KNOW. Very confusing I don't see where the point is of the app and advertising not having to wait if you order online and not abiding by your own advertising read more

This location constantly disappoints. There is a 70% change they will make a mistake. Their dining room is also closed which to me is unacceptable. Please do us all a favor in Hawaii Kai, please hire a good management team so we can actually enjoy coming to your location again. read more

I love Taco Bell! But HawIi Kai's Taco bell is disappointing. It say open for breakfast but hasn't been the 3 times I've tried going there.

Gross. Poor service. Lazy staff. Will keep front door locked to reduce customers. Will fail include portions of your order. Go elsewhere.

Fast and hot food. Friendly service as well. And the ambiance is nice and the restaurant is always kept clean and sanitized.

This Taco Bell is a fast food restaurant but the staff was friendly. Everything was hot and fresh which was nice because sometimes when you go to fast food restaurants it's not. It was also fairly clean inside which was nice. I tried the new nacho fries which were surprisingly good. They are fries with a nacho dust on them like Doritos and then you dunk them in the nacho sauce. You can also get the fries made in anything you want. read more

I never went to taco bell when I was growing up in town partly because of the mediocre food; But after moving to HK I gave it a shot cause a co-worker ordered in and the food was awesome. Been living in HK for about 7 years now and my visits to the HK Taco Bell location has always been stellar. The food is amazing definitely getting more than what I pay for and aside from one young dude who's a bit strange with the payment part, the staff is amazingly attentive and quick to service. The breakfast wraps are a mouth watering experience that it difficult to get even in restaurants lol. -Hoping they open soon so I can get my breakfast and taco fix! read more

I don't know who the big white dude that's always working the drive through in the evenings is? But he has the poorest customer service skills ever. First of all he never smiles or greets you when you approach and he never says thank you when the transaction is completed. On top of that he never asks if I need any hot sauce with my order and when I do ask for it, he gives me one packet of sauce for every 2 items. I don't even bother anymore with asking him and take matters into my own hands and I always end up having to park my car and going into the dining room instead to get more sauce. Not that management cares and I know good help is hard to find nowadays, but this dude needs to be replaced by someone who can offer better customer service. read more

The only Taco Bell in Hawaii Kai, the closest for me. Lots of parking and the drive thru very spacey (moves quickly). Friendly staff and fast service. Had the taco supreme combo and the new taco burrito (breakfast) with fire and diablo hot sauce and a large drink. Taco Bell's latest limited-time menu item, the new Loaded Taco Burrito, travels the value track with a price tag of $1.49 (Mainland) $1.79 (Hawaii). As the name suggests, the new burrito is a mash-up of a taco and burrito. It consists of a double portion of seasoned beef plus lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese, crispy red tortilla strips, sour cream, and avocado ranch wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla. You can also get it as part of a $5 Box along with a Doritos Locos Taco, Crunchy Taco, and medium drink. I had business in the area and I was looking for a place for a quick lunch. I'll admit the first place I went to was Zippy's. I went to their take out window but the guy who was working there looked at me like I had interrupted something he was doing that was terribly important. He was also hard to hear and not very helpful so I thanked him and left. I'm glad I did. next stop ... Taco Bell! This Taco Bell is location is upstairs and shares a parking lot with Straub. It's also on the less popular side of Koko Marina Shopping Center so whenever I go it's usually slow in the dining room. Their drive through however, is always doing brisk business. I went into the dining room. There was one person ahead of me and a couple of people eating lunch. Another couple of people came in after me. When I got to the front counter I was greeted pleasantly by Galyn (I think that's his name. He didn't have a name tag but he wrote it on my receipt.). He told me he would take my order whenever I was ready. I saw a special on their menu for a Taco Burrito so I asked Galyn about it. He said he liked it because it has the ranch sauce and sour cream; he also advised it was best to eat it right away so the chips are crispy. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I paid for my food and sat down to wait. As I waited I watched Galyn interact with the people who came in after me. One of them was an elderly man who kept repeating the same questions about a breakfast item. He placed his order and stepped to the side and continued to ask his questions. Galyn was patient with him, answering his questions. In fact, as I watched I was continuously impressed by the customer service I saw from Galyn. He was consistently polite, informative, and patient. During a lull I saw him take the broom and dust pan into the dining area to clean. He also conscientiously washed his hands when he had to return to his station to help another customer. Taco Bell food is what it is - cheap Mexican fast food. It's good enough to draw you in when you're in the mood but not something you go out of your way for. They do however, have a rare employee working the front counter and need to enjoy it while he stays. Addendum: I again found myself in the Koko Marina area and this time bypassed Zippy's altogether, heading straight for a Taco Bell. I had a coupon from my last visit for a BOGO supreme taco, which I used. Galyn was again at the front register although this time it was quite busy in the dining area. Again he was consistent with the high quality service and, from his interactions with the customers you could tell he's starting to develop a group of "regulars". read more

I have been coming to this Taco Bell ever since it opened. When they had the enchiritos I would come a couple of time a week. Now, I give up on this location. 9 times out of ten the order is always incorrect. You can not sit in the drive through and check everything. I never know what I will get. I get it that getting employees is hard right now but I think it comes down more to training for the people they have on staff. I think corp office should be focusing on these reviews more. read more

Located in Koko Marina Shopping Center, It has its own parking lot which is great but I honestly don't think it's necessary for it to be that big. This Taco Bell fast food restaurant in general, the store is quite small compared to McDonalds. But the size is very acceptable and actually makes good use of its space. The restaurant inside has a self serve soda fountain machine. The bathrooms need a key, which you'll have to ask the cashier or a Taco Bell worker. It has a decent and good amount of inside dining space. The Drive-Thru gets packed and can get packed pretty fast. Be mindful of the worker taking your order especially when busy since they take your order because they're also collecting the money AND giving the food out to the cars in front of you WHILE taking your order. At most fast food drive ins, food is most likely going to be missing from my bag, and I can honestly say that my food has ALWAYS come out in my bag complete with nothing missing. So i don't even have to check anymore & feel pretty confident. On a side note, the portions did get SMALLER. Yes that's right, The portions got smaller but the price is the same. But the quality doesn't disappoint especially for convenience right? I will still gladly pay $20+ for my food here, just not as much as before. Haha. One more thing before I'm done, They have always been stingy with sauce packets but which fast food hasn't? Haha. read more

*after writing this review* An individual from yelp gave me a "compliment" regarding Taco Bell hiring "slow" (her exact words) workers and that may be the reason. I think that's great of Taco Bell to hiring individuals with disabilities, so I'll give them an extra star. Kudos to you, Taco Bell! We came to this Taco Bell on May 2nd around 2pm, I am not sure what the gentleman's name was but he was not friendly. He was rude from the beginning, he looked very mad to be working at Taco Bell. If you hate your job, please find me on LinkedIn and I can help you with your resume!!! We ordered a taco party pack, 12 tacos. Half beef, half chicken. We received only beef. And we ordered nacho fries, which were obviously thrown into the bag because the fries were everywhere in the bag. Also!!! The lady working with him, did not have a friendly face! She was mugging us!!!! Please fix your customer service department. Obviously, it needs some work. I will NOT be returning to this Taco Bell NOR will I recommend anyone to come here. read more
