My goal: secure enough funds for a chorizo burrito and street corn in a cup. I found a $20 bill and decided to live dangerously. Plot twist #1: they were out of rice. Brief emotional damage. Apparently rice is a key player in many menu items, but I pivoted like a seasoned professional because when tacos call, you answer. Plot twist #2: my total came to $20.14. FOURTEEN CENTS OVER. I braced myself for the walk of shame, but the guy at the counter waved it off like the legend he is. Sir, if you're reading this, I hope your pillow is always cool and your tacos are always perfect.
