Not impressed, and that's a shame because we were really excited to see a new Mexican restaurant in our area. We were a party of two on a Saturday, early evening. Very casual dining: You place your order, they give you a number, and you go find a seat. We ordered a torta with everything, and the 3 taco platter (1 pastor, 1 steak, 1 barbacoa). We had a choice of cilantro and onion or lettuce and tomatoes on the tacos. We asked for cilantro and onion on one taco, and lettuce and tomato on the other two. They said they couldn't do it because they were so busy, so we agreed and paid for our order. We found our seat in a half empty dining room (so, not so busy). It took them forever to bring out our order. Then we noticed some folks who ordered after us got their food first. We were not happy but waited for our food which arrived after a while. The torta was sloppily put together, but was fresh tasting. The taco platter had 3 very small tacos, warm fried pinto beans with some melted cheese, and some rice which bordered on cold. We were too hungry and didn't want to return our food. We helped ourselves to the salsa bar. There were several salsas, but we only tried these: green tomatillo salsa (ok), red salsa (meh), chipotle salsa (very good, and the best thing about this dinner), guacamole salsa (also very good), cascabel salsa (bitter, and in need of some salt). The meat in the pastor taco was mildly seasoned, but ok. The steak had little to no seasoning. The barbacoa tasted like plain boiled meat with no seasoning whatsoever. We had to douse two of our tacos in salsa to get some semblance of flavor. The restaurant was clean and simply decorated--it was comfortable. The service left much to be desired. Sadly, we were very disappointed in the food. Not a good value either considering the size of the tacos. Would we return? Not likely. For what they offer here, there are better taco joints in the area where you will at least get hot food at your table or it is wrapped well enough that it'll be very warm when you get home. I'd skip this place. read more

The food was almost inedible and I'd have been upset about wasting the money if it wasn't so comical. I ordered the enchiladas rojas and it seems as if the restaurant literally went to a grocery store, found the cheapest salsa, and dumped it on top of tortillas. Come on! I ordered a tamale with cheese and a pepper and could have thrown it against a wall and done serious damage considering it was rock hard. The salsa negra tasted like bbq sauce, the red salsa like a can of tomatoes, and the chips that were supposed to come with the salsas never showed up. I hate giving bad reviews, but places like this deserve them for the lack of caring and for calling them self a Mexican restaurant. Go elsewhere! read more

He the Taco platter special and they let you choose whatever protein you want for each taco. Tacos were awesome and flavorful. Not greasy and not bland like Chipotle. Will be returning soon. Oh and they do accept CCs :) read more

This place was great! The salsa bar was one of the best I have ever had! Everything was fresh. I had a shrimp taco and pastor taco and they were delicious. I liked the dining space and can't wait to have a Tecate or Margarita on the patio this spring! read more

Probably the most authentic Mexican food in the area for the price. They serve black beans which is nice for vegans. Guacamole was fresh and they have a salsa bar with a good variety. Would return. read more

This one star review has nothing to do with the food...it's usually pretty good. It's the service that is the problem. I've had numerous customer service issues there but last night's experience was the topper. I attempted to call in an order. It took me four tries as the phone would ring and go right to voicemail. The reason it did was the phone was actually off the hook (we've experienced this problem before) and the young ladies at the front are clueless to this. I finally placed my order at 7:26, simple order: Steak Burrito no tomato....was told it will be ready in 15 minutes. 7:43 I arrived to find over a dozen people all standing at the counter. There were some very unhappy faces (I'm sure you'll hear from them as well) there so before I asked if my order was ready I asked how long a couple of them had been waiting...35 minutes one said, 40 the other...I figured I now had a few minutes to run and get some pop...I returned at 7:51 only to see most of the same faces still waiting...I advised I was here for a pickup, gave my name, paid, no problem be right up....As it turns out they hadn't even cooked it yet, unacceptable!! I spoke with several others who were waiting and I didn't feel so bad, one had been waiting 45 minutes, one almost an hour. I waited several more minutes and would have been fine waiting a little longer until I heard at 8:06p.m. That "I'm working on that order now" when asked about my food. So my food was being prepared 40 MINUTES AFTER I ORDERED IT!! When told that was unacceptable the little girl at the counter exclaimed "we had allot of orders come in", first lesson in customer service honey, if you make someone wait 40 minutes for food don't make excuses... Anyways I will no longer go to or recommend this place not for the cuisine but the absolutely piss poor service they provide...too bad....get some real workers and cooks and avoid problems in the future like, ya know, going out of business. read more

Tacabron is my new favorite local taco joint! Everything is extremely fresh, made to order, healthy with a simply sweet presentation! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! I frequent this restaurant a couple of times a week, meeting up with friends for a late night bite, they are open until 10 pm! I do work in the area, so getting lunch and beverages during work hours is great, super convenient and quick! My favorite lately is a shrimp taco salad! The fresh salsa bar and water fountain make complete sense, as much as you want! The churros are amazing! Lots of beverage options, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. The only thing that would make me over the top happy would being able to get a coffee here, no coffee yet! Please add coffee to your menu, everything else is wonderful! Larger groups, couple dates and families all gather here! So happy this place is so close! read more

Went in there with my girlfriend and we had been wanting to check it out for a few weeks now because we'd pass it on our way home. It looked like a cool place plus the name really got our attention. It's a pretty clever name. Anyway we went in and we were both really excited.. The place is clean and looked pretty cool.. My girlfriend ordered the taco platter (all steak tacos). I ordered the taco platter too, but had two steak tacos and one al pastor taco. We got our salsas from the salsa bar and waited for our food to hit the table. The food hit the table and we were super excited to start eating our dinner. I took a bite of my steak taco and was super disappointed, but I was hoping my opinion would change throughout my meal. It didn't. The tacos were bland. The steak didn't taste like carne asada and didn't even look like it. All steak meat was very dark (inside and out). Not even like a burnt meat look, It was very odd, but definitely not authentic carne asada. The al pastor tacos also bland. Salsas seemed like they came out of a can and were pretty watery. The best thing about our platters were the rice and the beans..Overall we were pretty bummed with the experience and hoping to love this new taco spot since the concept and decor was pretty original. Food is not great especially for the price. We were really looking forward to it especially since it's so close to home. Do not plan to return again unless they partner with a new food distributor.
