The music and the food was absolutely amazing but this place is a SCAM! They try to get you in every way they can so watch out!! They say they close @2:00 A.M yet had security start telling us to leave at 1:25 A.M. We ordered a hookah not knowing we wouldn't even get to enjoy it. Was charged $60 (cash only..) for the hookah in which wasn't even pulling and staff continued to smoke the rest of our hookah as we were being escorted rushing us out so the bartenders can still smoke the hookah . (At no point did they ever warn us they was getting ready to close, we would've never even got it). & To top it all off they gave themselves a $30 tip! Please avoid going here!! Came here on a Saturday and sat in the back, very cute decor. The waitress is nice and attentive and the music is good. My date ordered a hookah which was like $60 with tax and tip but no free refills and refill is $31 crazy. He wanted Henny but they don't serve it so he instead opted out for some effen' cognac by 50cent, apparently the place is owned by him so that's what they have. Mind you I've been getting flyers for different events and after work things for this place but never had the chance to come. Anywho I saw some people order a drink ,so I asked for it and it was ok (see pic). I also had a margarita with "casa, " that was ok. The food is average bar food that you have after a night out NOT for your go to dinner spot. Social media has created false advertisement for what Taboo is actually delivering in the food area - especially the wrong atmosphere. The ambiance is advertised as a warm vibe with a good mix of music and amazing food, but it was just really dark and all over the place with mood setting. The service wasn't slow, but my server introducing herself and taking my order with a lollipop in her mouth is definitely not the best first impression. Hookah is extremely overpriced for the product being given at a $60 charge with no refills (and the workers were circled around the bar smoking hookah with no care of customer service). The owner should rethink the ambiance and furniture for seating - the high tables and chairs are unstable and created an uncomfortable situation while trying to eat. read more

We sat in the back and had to go back up to the bar multiple times to ask for drinks and a hookah refill we NEVER NEVER GOT. Hookah is cash only. Next to us, two other couples left because they weren't getting served. When me and my friend went up to the bar to see what was taking so long, another group complained that two of their ubers left before they got their checks they requested half an hour ago. For the price, it ain't worth it. The waitress was not friendly at all. She was rushing us to order. It was a group of 7 people. I asked her for a pretty drink which she could have easily ask me what kind of liquor I wanted... instead she gave me top shelf and charged me double for the drink. I don't mind paying for top shelf but usually wait staff ask what kind of liquor .. I didn't appreciate her not asking. The food was decent but it took a long time for it to come out. When the bill came she automatically added a 25% tips- I'm aware when it's a group of 4-5 more you are able to add 18-20% but not 25% We asked her several times to changed it, she refused but then finally she changed it to 18%. I believe tips are earned based on the services... and the services was terrible. Do not come here there's plenty of other lounges that offer better hookah / food and services. read more

The establishment is nice but the customer service that we experienced on November 11, 2020 around 8 PM from a female bartender was beneath anything that I've ever experienced before she was horrible she had no customer service skills she was not professional she did not fix anything that we needed to be fixed and it was just beyond terrible and she added her own tip in there and thought she was going to get an additional tip by trying to list it as a service charge please help get your waitress under control because this is unacceptable.
