THE BEST Restaurant/hookah lounge in the city. I've been coming here for years and the service is always amazing !! Drinks , food & hookah is good . After a certain time they offer a late night menu . Most hookah places in nyc are rachet and don't offer food late. They have an upstairs area too if you want to be lowkey.

I enjoyed my time for the most part at this establishment. The waitress was attentive, which was nice. I ordered the short ribs, and they were pretty dry and lacking seasoning. My other issue was that the hookah kept on having issues. Overall, it was a good experience, but fixing these things would change my rating to a 5 star.

I will be back!!! Exceptional customer service. I always say customer service makes or breaks in establishment and the customer service alone had me feeling so comfortable in there. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the falafel sliders which were made to perfection. I also had a gimlet cocktail, which was perfect. And the hookah was just as great. I will definitely be making this my go to spot when I come into the city.

Beautiful restaurant, great happy hour. I enjoyed my cocktail and appz. Falafel siders and their cauliflower were really good. My main the lobster pasta wasn't great, skip it. Overall a chic spot to get together afterwork.

Nice place (on a fancier side), good vibe and attentive service. Food was just ok therefore overpriced. We had a sit down dinner with a group of friends for a celebration. Asked for a bday cake which was brought out immediately which was too soon, it was also overpriced. If I came back it'd probably be for a drink at the bar. They also have hookah.

One of my favorite places to be! Great hookah, good vibes and amazing food!!!! I've been here on a Monday at 5pm and several late nights on the weekend, service has always been incredible and it's always a great time. Staff has always been attentive to us and making sure we were good

Chill restaurant in midtown with tasty beverages and smooth tunes playing. Music upstairs isn't as loud as downstairs is more of a club setting. Shaq was there with his crew taking pics with fans. Really nice guy with a good heart. Servers come by often to ensure you have everything needed to enjoy the evening. Food was good more for apps but solid nonetheless. Will come back next time I'm in the city.

Loved it. The food was great. Love the ambiance and music. It's kind of dark but it's sexy and cool lol I'd visit again and try other items. The service wasn't five star but it was fine. I don't really have any complaints. The bathrooms are clean (they have an attendant on duty)

Nice casual trendy spot in the heart of the action off broadway. Great place to catch up with friends. You can get drinks, casual food and hookah. I'm not a smoker but it appeared to be a pretty extensive list of flavors and just about every table had hookah. The drinks were nice and the staff was quick and accommodating. The food was so so but I believe the drinks and hookah are the main attraction. Maybe get a meal before or after. It's definitely a good time here. I'd visit again.

So a friend and I came in for a quick bite. The ladies at the hostess desk seemed frazzled, overwhelmed...not sure but they couldn't seem to decide where to seat us. This was afterwork, and it had a nice crowd but not overly packed. We saw someone leave the bar so we just sat there. The bartender helped us in a timely manner and the drinks were good. The best part was the food and drinks. Atmosphere was ok we a mid-town afterwork crowd.

My friend was raving about this place pretty hard as it seems to be the scene. She mentioned the whos who shows up here so its a pretty popular place to say the least. We stopped in on a Wednesday night ad it was on and popping. All the pretty people were here , some dressed to the 9s when it comes to high fashion. I was feeling it lol! We got a seat in the upper area which was pretty lively with different friend groups having a great, fun night. We started out with some hookah which was awesome! Menu looked great but I wasnt too hungry so I knew I would go with something light. The grilled octopus salad was pretty good as it included spring garlic, green peppers, fennel, radish, sherry dressing and of course grilled squid. Loved it and they werent stingy with the octopus...yum! Washed it all down with some rose'. Tried my friend's short rib sliders and they were awesome! I would definitely go back for those. Service here was decent. I definitely recommend this place if you're into a place thats pretty cool, has decent bites and has a "scene". Check it out!

Is it true there is. $70 minimum per person? That's what we were told by staff.

It depends on the time and amount of people. Usually if it's over 5 people there is a minimum but it goes towards what you order anyway!

Is this a place where you can get a table smoke hookah and dance on a Saturday?

Need reservations. Time limit and music is more downstairs than up. Gets very crowded around the bar.

We wanted to have after-dinner cocktails in a chill space, so we searched on our phones & saw Paradise Lost address via Google. We proceeded to walk down & was unable to find the establishment due to their being no front sign. After walking back & forth a few times, we saw another group walking towards the door & they confirmed the place. We walked inside the front door pressed a "doorbell" & lo & behold we gained entry after the previous group went inside. Definitely an incognito entrance. Once inside that door there is someone to greet you, & take your information. There is a forest/ grass/ jungle-looking foyer/ hallway we walked down to get to the next door. Before we knew it, we were near the "Paradise Lost No Vacancy" neon sign w/ an arrow pointing towards the snake-shaped knob door. It gets opened & a supercool speakeasy awaits.... Paradise Lost has mixed style table / seating arrangements throughout the place. A bar seating section, booth-style seating area, lounge- style seating area, etc. We got there a little after 7pm, so the afterwork crowd was in full swing. Paradise Lost has interesting atmosphere. At times a Gothic / Medieval Vibe, meets place w/ shipwreck decor, meets eleganct /club vibe w/ beautiful ceiling lighting, etc. Music played in the background. Staff are friendly, energetic, & attentive. We were pleasantly overwhelmed w/ the vast selection of tiki cocktails that were on the menu. Paradise Lost also have an intimate selection of snacks/ food menu items. This included Popcorn, Tater Tots, Devilled Eggs Rangoon Dip, etc. We ordered some cocktails served in unique tiki mugs & a bucket of popcorn to munch on w/ our drinks. The popcorn is flavored w/ Sea Buckthorn & Browm Butter, which gave it an special flavor profile. Our cocktails were well-prepared & nice & strong. Paradise Lost has individual unisex bathroom stalls & a communal vanity & sink area. The bathroom stalls have spooky voices coming from a speaker as you use the bathroom. I was so humorously taken aback, it had me laughing when I came out...Definitely a different thing to experience in the bathroom - lol. Before we left we watched one of the bartenders do a cocktail "fire" presentation for some patrons in a booth seated area. Wow.... Paradise Lost accepts walk-ins only, no reservations. Paradise Lost accepts groups of 8 or less, unless you are requesting to book the space for a private event. Ages 21+ paradiselost.nyc @paradiselostnyc Paradise Lost is open everyday - 5pm-2am.

Dim lighting, plush seating, rich wood + wallpaper details, and that lounge-library vibe make the place feel like a secret hideout right in the middle of Midtown. It's moody, cozy, and effortlessly intimate -- perfect for a date night, a chill catch-up, or just a night out with good drinks. Nice service, too! However: be ready for the price tag. The cocktails are absolutely beautiful -- well crafted, creative, and flavorful -- but each one will remind you that you're not exactly paying dive-bar prices. It's worthwhile, but the "overpriced drinks" vibe absolutely hits. That said: the interior design and ambience are amazing. My husband had indicated it was our birthdays so they provided a cute birthday card and made sure to wish us Happy Birthday when we checked in. Due to some unforseen circumstances (on our part being First time visitors not understanding NY traffic) we were short on time and they were still able to accommodate us! We were looking forward to do one their prix fix menus but had to cut our time shorter. We had the shrimp cocktail, would recommend and also really loved the serving coupe it came in! Fried artichokes that were mid at best and saved by the sauce it comes with. To save time we split the steak frites, I would recommend, though bot as tender as I normally like, I appreciate the serving and flavorful bites.
