Damn I really wanted to give this place at least 4 stars or more. But the other reviews are 100% spot on when it comes to service. They will sit their on their phones or speak to their regulars and not even bother to check on you. You have to do the most to get their attention. And the crazy thing is it was only 3 people at the bar. The drinks are great when you get them and so is the food. But the service is what makes the experience better. Minority run spots have to do better. Hire people that want to work and not just look good on IG. And make sure you know the specifics of the deals and stuff before you get there. I hate giving bad reviews, but sometimes you just have to. We came in after the Pride Parade. Set at the bar. It took forever to get the bartender's attention from the get go. When we finally got her attention, we order bar food from the "bar menu". It took another hr for her to take the order and another day and a half to get quesadilla and tortilla chips with salsa. Initially I ordered nachos assuming it comes with the staple guacamole, only to discover it's "an extra". Really? Who served nachos with Quac as "optional"?? So with all the bad service and this, I changed my order only to still get it with tons of cheese on it. I reminded the bartender I changed the order. Good news: the Quesadilla was was ok, my friend said, and the tortilla chips were warmed up. The funny news: the salsa was from a jar, and I actually know that jar. LOL. Management didn't seem to realize that the #Pride parade crowd will jump in on a Sunday afternoon, when you usually place you're least experienced stuff on and seemed to understaff them too. Grabbed a few drinks and some snacks, I can only say that the drinks were top notch, which I can't say the same about the food. Went to this place Friday night. My friend and I was drinking smoking having a good time. Our song started playing on the juke box (which we had to pay for cause there is no inhouse music) we started to sing out loud and my friend got up and started dancing. Here comes the security rushing over telling us we are disrupting the other patrons (mind u the bar was empty about 3 more couple that was it) and she needs to stop dancing. So if u really want to have a good time I would not reccomend this bar it sucks! Sidenote: Later on in the night another lady got up and started to dance and we sat and watch the security ignore her and let her enjoy herself. Esq and I stopped in here for a drink prior to a surprise party we were heading to. It was early (around 6:00 PM on a Saturday) therefore it was pretty quiet...until a homeless-looking man sat at the bar, ordered a Guinness, and proceeded to have auditory hallucinations for the next 20 minutes. Ahhh, good times. Prices are definitely on the inexpensive side for this area. My glass of Pinot was $6 and his Tito's and Red Bull was around the same. No DJ here...only the Touch Tunes "jukebox", if you will. We knew it was time to go when Mister Guinness started begging the Touch Tunes device to play him some Michael Jackson (for free, we presume). I came here for lunch yesterday around 1:00 PM. The Russian bartender was very friendly. I had ordered the chicken burger because I had seen it outside as a special. After I had placed my order I was asked if I wanted American cheese on the burger and if I wanted French fries. I declined the cheese but did get the fries. The chicken burger was a breaded and fried boneless chicken cutlet. The lettuce and one slice of tomato was on the bottom of the chicken and ring of ketchup on the top part of the bun. The French fries had the skin and were nicely seasoned. There was a small dish of ketchup for dipping for the French fries. read more

Great Spot! My boyfriend and I we're visiting the city for a few days and our hotel was super close to here! We stumbled upon it one night after going to the Empire State Building and I am glad we came in. All the bartenders were great and super friendly! The beers were about $6 which i thought was a great deal. There were some locals in there that got drinks made for them right away which was great to see how friendly and what a great relationship they build with theirs regulars. They have hookah and one night we were there they had karaoke !! Kiera was great! She took care of us every night and truly was interested in our visit and how it's been going. I've been twice and I dig it. I really do. Not the sexiest of lounges (lounge is kind of too nice of a term for this place if you ask me), but what it lacks in atmosphere it makes up in with dive bar charm. This bar gets patrons of all sorts, young and old alike. You might end up next to an annoying older guy who is clearly interested in you, despite you giving off vibes that you think otherwise. -_- Or next to a cutie! ^_^ The drink prices are AMAZING. Your average flavored martini will run you 10 bucks. They also have a pretty lengthy drink menu, fun shots included. Drinks taste fine and the bartenders are always nice. I've only had one drink I disliked and was offered another one. Though I didn't take it, it's service like that I enjoy. They have hookah, and while I have seen people complain in their reviews about it not having tobacco, that fact is written in plain English on the menu! Personally, I'm fine with the lack of tobacco, especially considering my hookah was SMOOOOOOTH. Standard hookah flavors are present, but they have a slew of really fun ones! I got a mix of fruit flavors atop Sprite! Neat! I would love to speak on the food, but I've yet to try it as my first visit the kitchen was closed (it closes super early, like 8 or so, sort of a bummer) and I wasn't trying to get food on my second. However, you can get food delivered there, so that's a plus. I'm sort of a sucker for the pizza shop next door, so I totes got two slices delivered! Tonight my friends and I stopped here for a few drinks and hookah. We did find it weird that upon sitting at the table we were already carded. I could have just been ordering food. Ok its weird. But we hand over ids nonetheless. What do we really care? We're all of drinking age. The waitress Alana, ALAYNA, WHATEVER. The women with the scar on her face asks us for an id and a card to open a tab (we are at a table where her gratuity is already included, not at the bar...you know? Where you actually would open a tab?). AGAIN... a little weird... nonetheless we provide her with a card and id. We order hookah and a few drinks. Time to get the check! We get the check and my friend asks the waitress why she was charged more for the same drink that another friend ordered. She informs her bc you asked for 2 juices. Friend goes "oh I didn't know, I wish you would have told me, but whatever." Waitress is getting defensive now. We hand over 2 cards and cash (splitting 4 ways of course...remember the other card is holding the tab at the bar we are not sitting at). Waitress asks for ids to process the cards..... AGAIN....weird but whatever. Friend whose card is at the bar asks the waitress "can I have my card back so I can pay?" Waitress: you can get it back after I get the signed receipts back Again...weird and this time hostile 30 min go by and shes still "processing our cards". We look over and see that it appears that she's like writing our card information back. My friends go up to the bar to ask what's the hold up? And to get their cards back. And the waitress' response??!? "DON'T DRINK IF YOU CAN'T PAY YOUR BILL" but sis you had the cards and they all went through! And now I realize my card and id are the ones being held hostage.(I wasn't the one holding the bar tab) And when I ask for it back, I get back "not until you sign your receipt and your friends do too". I went over this with her for about 10 min (I am LIVID at this point) before a manager finally comes over and she throws my card and id in his direction. He appeared to pretend to be just as appalled as we were for this treatment. He assured me he would take action but honestly it seems this is the way they do business. Why would someone say "don't drink if you can't pay your bill" when we handed you the cards to swipe and they were all approved?! Please spend your money elsewhere. I enjoyed this place. Came in here after drinking and shopping. The people here were so nice. They were attentive and came to us often to check up on us. I felt like they didn't judge us at all for anything and genuinely wanted to serve you well. They were chill. We did the hookah which was one of the best hookahs I've ever done. We did the taboo flavor and it was a mix of a fruit and mint. You can definitely taste the mixture and I enjoyed it. We went during happy hour and we did the hookah for $25 We also got the Philly cheesesteak. The reason it wasn't five stars was because of this. It was basic and small. The cheese looked like it was one of those singles you get at the grocery store. It was good but not a great cheesesteak. Recommend this place. Would come back again read more
