Friendly & chill, great food, great music on a turntable & a wall o' wine! Very strong bistro vibe. We love it.

OMG, we've had a place in Hope (nearby) for five years but never tried/heard of this place. And…read morethat is our loss! Devon and Hannah are the couple that own and run the place - he's the ridiculously talented chef and waiter (or chef that delivers and describes the food) and she's front of house (greeter, waitress, sommelier, and seems genuinely happy! The food...so so so so good and unique. If this place doesn't win major awards I'd be shocked. There are maybe 10 tables so even when "busy" it's never chaotic (well I've only been once and it wasn't too crowded but Hannah said as much and she seems very honest!) The food and service is very much the appeal and they absolutely nailed it. Pointedly they did not spend a lot on interior, yet it's simple, tasteful, and appealing. They don't open every night, just Thu Fri Sat - which is why they still love it - their words but my wholehearted agreement. It's not inexpensive but when someone has clearly mastered their crafts like these two, I am onboard every time. Also, you know when you love a place but after going a bunch of times you get kinda tired of the menu? Well these two change menu every three weeks! Camden has a bunch of restaurants that cater to the tourists - they are fine and some are even good but not special at all. But this place, what can I say, I fell in love and will be back often! And if you are a foodie tourist who wants to treat yourself, you must come!

The creative food and wine menus are small, the plates are medium, and the love is large. If you are a couple it's best to just order the entire menu and share it. After couple glasses of a natural orange wine (bottles are pricey) the bill was $170. We are so happy they're open in winter and filled up on a Saturday so reservations a must. Loved all the dishes despite being slightly over salted. Menu changes frequently and can't wait to return.

We also get one order of Shrimp Scampi with pasta AND an extra plate. We mix both plates together at the table and have two meals that is delicious and more than enough for two. Unfortunately, not this time. I started with Westpoint oysters which were superb, maybe my best raw oysters ever. I usually then order the sprouts but decided to go back to a previous favorite of mine from my dinners there in '22 and '23, the mussels, which had been served then with some epic sourdough toast which made them a 5-star because you could sop up the delicious broth and still have a delightful crunch. Unfortunately they now only are served with some sourdough bread discs, which just get saturated and soggy. Not at all the same experience. Most of that wonderful broth was wasted. Then, the lobster risotto, which had always been scrumptious. Unfortunately, the chefs got heavy-handed with the cheese in the risotto so that the taste of the sweet lobster chunks was overpowered rather than complimented as it was in every previous year. I spoke with Shane, their very personable and capable manager about the mussels(or clams) and lack of toast so hopefully that will change by next year when I return. It's still a great restaurant with a wonderful view of the Sheepscot River, a destination experience.
