SPROUTS SALAD, purple haze cocktail, and a glass of Montepulciano

We had a very lovely date night here last night. They have a cute outdoor patio with turf and various plants and lights. Really pretty. We decided we wanted to sit there but it was full so went to hang at the bar while we waited for a table. Bar had good cocktails, a little too sweet for my taste, and cool vibe. We had the blood orange mojito, aperol spritz, and purple haze. Last one was my favorite. Then we got seated outside. The food was delicious. We had bread and olive oil to start, the corn salad with brussel sprout shavings. I wish there was a little more dressing but my husband said the amount was perfect. Next was the smash burger with truffle fries. So Yum! And the pizza, San Danielle, was a perfect combo of sweet, salty, crispy, soft with red wine to accompany it. It was a beautiful night with a full bright moon. Wow! I know what I want next time: arancini, curried mussels, verde pizza, boneless short rib.

I just ordered DoorDash from this restaurant. Never and knew it was here. I was looking for something new so I tired it. WOW! This is so delicious I am blown away. The food was so homemade tasting and so wonderful. The service was fast and the food was still hot when it arrived. I moved it onto my own plate and added a little Caesar. I think this is a a home run winner. I will try and find the restaurant and eat in soon. But this will be my new DoorDash favorite.

"I'm not sure yet, but the fact that one bite even raises the question is shocking." This is the best thing crust pizza I've ever had. I've had Star Tavern, I've had Calabria's, I've had Angeloni's -- this is the best. (My husband later agreed.) The problem I have with many thin crust pizza places is that their crust is crackery -- it's paper thin and has great integrity, but it's dusty, has no flavor, and breaks apart super easily -- like a cracker. Not so with Colony, my friends. I don't quite know how they do it, but the crust is paper thin, the integrity is incredible, the crust is actually flavorful, and best of all (in my opinion): the crust is CHEWY. My mind was blown. I didn't even mention the price yet: $11.95 for a pie. You can barely get a coffee for cheaper than that anymore, let alone a delicious meal. I'm a fan for life.

She chose to come to Colony Grill. It was packed Saturday night the downside that it took about 45 minutes for us to get our pizza but took us 15 to 20 minutes to eat. It was truly worth it. Definitely love this place. Definitely packing. This place is definitely worth. It would recommend this place to come to eat if you're in the mood for pizza.

White Clam Pizza -- A Must-Try Legend Many reviews…read moreconsistently rave that Frank Pepe's clam pie lives up to its reputation. The white clam pizza delivers a punch of clams, garlic, and cheese on that signature thin, char-charred New Haven-style crust -- garlicky, salty, and utterly memorable. It's the pie people seek out when they make a pilgrimage to Frank Pepe's, and some say it's the best pizza they've had in years. The clams are generous and fresh-tasting, the crust is crisp yet chewy, and every bite feels like a perfect balance of sea and oven fire. For seafood lovers and adventurous eaters, this is the pie to order -- bold, classic, and worth the hype. Margherita Pizza -- Simple, Fresh, and my son loved it. While the clam pizza steals a lot of the spotlight, the margherita and original tomato pies are also beloved. The margherita is beautifully simple: ripe tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil with that same irresistible coal-oven char on the crust. It's not as brash as the clam pie, but it's an excellent showcase of quality ingredients done right. Red-sauce traditionalists especially appreciate how Pepe's tomato-forward pies complement the zingier clam slice, making them great to share with a group

The clams were fresh, the crust had that signature char and chew, and I didn't miss the tomato sauce for a second. Judging from nearby tables, though, the red pies are every bit as popular. We grabbed seats at the bar, and that turned out to be part of the fun. The bartender was fantastic and even shared the secret to a perfect Whiskey Sour: dry shake the whiskey, lemon juice, and egg white first to build that silky foam, then add ice and shake again. She also noted that aquafaba--the liquid from canned chickpeas--can create a similar effect for vegan or egg-free drinkers. The cocktail arrived beautifully presented with a real Luxardo cherry and was as good as any craft cocktail I've had - which is sayin' something LOL! The place was packed, the music was great, the energy was infectious, and it was obvious the locals genuinely love Sally's. That's always a good sign, and this place more than lived up to the hype.

The pizza portions and quality are excellent, but we would probably try a few different appetizers on the next visit. Favorite pie was the Calabrian Stinger, since it had a great spice kick! We still ordered food (terrible decision), waited 20 minutes...now here comes the fun! A group of 5-6 walks in, seemed notably surprised at how full the place is, says that they should have made a reservation, and proceeds to ask for table service. My husband and I were sitting at the end of a six-seater table when we walked in, which we were guided to by the waiter right away because apparently it was available. A few minutes after the group walked in and asks for table service, a guy (supposedly a supervisor) asks us to get up from the table, saying that this table was reserved for a group of five and the waiter made a mistake by telling us it was available. It was clear from the time the group walked in they did not have a reservation. Regardless, we got up, proceeded to walk to a "table" which was a crappy fold up placed only several feet from the stage where live music was being played. Aside from the fact that they clearly just put the table there just to have somewhere to move us, my husband is hard of hearing with sensitive hearing aids, and he can't be seated right next to amplified live music. I told the "supervisor" who moved us this fact, and he said the only other option would be to sit outside. We were moved outside - it was almost about to start pouring, we were seated at a similar crappy fold up table, and no coverage over the table. Lo and behold, our food comes out over 25 min after ordering to this crappy shaky table that's about to get rained on. The kindest employee sitting outside overhears my complaints, tries to remedy the situation by going inside, and then calling people to help. Honestly, he didn't have to do anything, and his kindness is the only good thing I can note about this experience. I guess the guy he was speaking to on the phone didn't realize he was on speaker and I heard him ask the kind employee where the customers (we) were from, and whether we were young or WHITE - which is a separate issue all together! In the end, the waiter came out and apologized (not the person who asked us to move), offered us free cocktails and desserts. But, we just asked for the food to be boxed up so we could leave before it started raining. TLDR: we were kicked out of our table to an outside table in crappy weather for a bigger group that came in after waiting 20+ minutes for our food
