Our stamped concrete pool deck needed lots of love. Taber Builders (Tom) came out and assessed that the concrete needed a serious power washing and re-sealing. Also--we had damage to the concrete about the size of a football. Miguel came out to our house, repaired the rather large divot of concrete. After letting the divot dry and cure--Miguel was back to power washing the concrete. Miguel returned later that day to seal the concrete with a concrete sealant that left a beautiful sheen on the surface. Miguel did a beautiful job! Miguel was great to work with! I highly recommend Taber Builders for your concrete needs! Thanks, Tom and Miguel! read more

Working with Tom on my driveway project was a great experience. He was knowledgeable, communicative and considerate. When removing an old driveway after purchasing a new (old) home, Taber Builders was with me every step of the way. Tom and his crew did a wonderful job - I don't know how I ever put up with the old/damaged driveway, this one looks so good! And I can rest easy knowing this driveway was done right. read more

Tom and his team did a great job on my sidewalk. It was done quickly and with high quality. This is my second job with Tom and I have more scheduled. read more

Tom Taber did my pool deck area and sidewalk to the front of our house. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. Best of all, Tom is great at communicating thru the entire process. He was always either available to answer questions or returned call or text promptly. Can't ask for more than a great product and service! read more

Tom owner of Taber Builders and his crew did an excellent job on our driveway. He guided us through the whole process starting with our initial meeting to the completion of the project. We interviewed 4 different companies and Tom was the most experienced and knowledgeable on what needed to be done. He stayed true to his quote and answered every question explaining in layman's terms making us feel comfortable and confident. read more

In 2016 Tom Taber and his guys installed a patio for us. It was calling for rain. They decided to go ahead and pour anyways. It started to rain and they had to get plastic over it fast. Not fast enough though. It got rained on and now my patio has a lot of tiny pits. Every year I have new rock pops. It's been 7 years later and I've had many holes to fill. Tom says rock pops are normal. Its cheap cement I think. Stay away from this guy if he's not retired by now. He's got all the excuses! read more

We could not be happier with our new patio from Taber Builders. Tom (the owner) was extremely helpful, meticulous, and listened to all of our ideas. We had several companies give estimates and plans prior to Taber. When I say Tom is the "real deal", that is what I mean. He is incredibly knowlegeable in the concrete world and helped educate me so I could make the best choices. He guided us through the process and gave valuable input into our decisions to provide a high quality end product that we are thrilled with. The pricing was extremely fair and everything turned out wonderfully. The crew was also amazing! We would recommend Taber Builders to everyone we know. read more

We would highly recommend Taber Builders. Tom Taber was super helpful and had a wide breadth of experience, we trusted his word. Communication was top notch, and his guys did great work. Everything was super efficient and professional. Couldn't beat the value of his work, knowing the quality we were getting. read more

We had an ancient backyard patio and sidewalk that needed to be completely redone. The crew was able to tear up the old concrete and haul it away in about a working day. The weather was very uncooperative, so it took a couple weeks before they were able to pour, but Tom's communication was very good despite the headache of "will the weather let us pour today?" A few minor issues arose: our internet cable was severed (Comcast was out the next day to fix it---very lucky to have an open appointment slot), and a hose reel was broken (we were reimbursed for the cost). I've seen a few people mention that the crew has occasionally been a bit messy and reckless, and I understand why they might have that complaint. However, the finished product is great if you can see past a few potential setbacks and a couple pieces of trash left behind. They were by far the most reasonable quote we received, and that's also after an upgraded mix, alternating brush strokes, and border. Highly recommended! read more

They did a great job on our patio and were super easy to work with. They were available quickly and worked efficiently. Tom also helped set up us with the other services we needed such as a carpenter for stairs and seal coat for the driveway. we were very happy with our experience and would recommend them to others. read more

Taber Builders installed a new concrete patio for us. Tom was wonderful to work with. His price was very fair, and he provided us with solid advice regarding the size and scope of our project. He was communicative and friendly, and was very helpful in referring other workmen for some small projects attached to the patio. He is very knowledgable and trustworthy, and we are so glad we found him. We couldn't be more pleased with our new outdoor space. read more

Taber Builders helped us to design and build a new stamped concrete backyard patio. This included removal of an existing concrete slab and some large shrubbery. We were very pleased with the estimation and design process as we tinkered with the layout a few times. The price was competitive with other bids that we received. During our project there was a concrete workers strike which delayed things a bit. This was out of their control, but Tom was great with keeping us apprised of the status and worked with us on scheduling the demolition and installation at a time that worked for everyone. We are very happy with how it all turned out and have received several compliments. Stamped concrete is a bit of an art project and our patio looks great. I would certainly use these guys again if the need arises. Highly recommend. read more

Tom and everyone from Taber builders were really great to work with. Tom was very communicative through the whole process and very helpful in explaining options. I was very indecisive about color/pattern for the stamped concrete and Tom was great about explaining pros/cons of different options and very patient with us. He wanted us to be happy! His entire crew was fantastic - friendly, kind, very clean. Best of all our patio is absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy with it!! I would definitely recommend them! read more

Since we posted this, Tom is now threatening to go to his attorney, saying that he's looking at his notes & he has no record of this. He stated that the price difference was because the amount of concrete that we needed when in fact, he told us the price increase was because the price of concrete had gone up due to a strike & we needed more due to the previous patio being wrong(previous contractors work, not his). Why didn't he buy the concrete when we gave him the 7k deposit if he knew there was a strike and the price might fluctuate? We have appropriate documentation to support our claims. You can only sue someone if what they're saying is false. Tom DID wait until our patio was completely demoed before telling us it was $3000 more, his workers DID throw crap everywhere as you can see from the pictures. I would've removed this review if Tom would've called & apologized about everything but now that he's threatening to go to his attorney and bullying us, I'll keep it up. read more

A very positive experience from this contractor. Exceptional service from Tom Taber, he is no doubt above all the others in the area . Very attentive to detail in everything from beginning to end, the weather played a major role in our project, if the weather could be better the project would be done much quicker. However once the weather broke he got his guys here with quickness. Very happy with our decision to go with Taber Builders. Tom and his crew were great to work with! We had a 28x18 concrete stamped patio installed and it came out looking fantastic. We were on a substantial grade so we also needed an retaining wall. Tom recommended someone and that too looks great. We had to remove an aging wood deck and with that came some damage to the home. Tom came through once again, recommended a carpenter and that was taken care of. All-in-all Taber is a one stop shop and his work, along with his recommended contractors, were reliable and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Taber to family and friends just as they were recommended to us. read more

Taber Builders installed a large stamped concrete patio in our backyard. We are very happy with it. He was very professional and everyone wore masks while interacting with us. Tom was great about helping us with the design process to ensure we got the best patio in the end. They did a great job cleaning up and did not leave a mess or any damage to our yard. read more

Taber did a great job on our stamped concrete patio. We previously had a wooden deck and this looks so much better and will require alot less maintenance. Many compliments from the neighbors. Tom was very prompt in providing us a quote and answering all of my questions. Tom was also helpful in educating me regarding what to watch out for with various contractors, particularly the type of concrete and additives (all of which I verified with a friend who previously owned a stamped concrete business). There were a few surprises during the project (not Taber's fault), which Tom provided quick solutions and performed the changes at a nominal additional cost. They also tore out and repoured our front sidewalk/stoop, not stamped and it also turned out well. Would definitely recommend them. Good work ethic, craftsmanship and dedication to making sure the project was done right. Will try to provide some pics soon. read more

Neighbor had some work done by Taber builders and his crew sat in my yard and left their cigarette butts, trash and bottles throughout my lawn. All caught on camera, Numerous calls and messages were left with Tom Taber but no response! Poorly run business! read more

Tom just replied to my review SEVEN YEARS LATER, saying he doesn't know me and never did work for me. That's probably because after I signed the contract Tom never showed up again. Instead of overseeing the job, he sent drunk, unskilled workers to pour and stamp my patio. My advice is to stay away from Taber Builders. read more

Taber Builders came and poured a stamped concrete patio in our backyard. It came out amazing. Most of our neighbors have just regular concrete, this looks so much better. My one neighbor came over and said "Now you have the most beautiful patio on the street". Gotta love that! Tom helped me pick out the color and the shape of the patio, which has some nice curves to it. I put a firepit on top of it and some patio couches...can't wait until the summer temperatures come back! Would definitely recommend them to anyone. read more

We had a concrete patio installed in our backyard this spring and the whole process was smooth and easy. Tom (owner) and I did most our communication via email all the way up to scheduling the actual job days, which we did on the phone. The price was fair and the work is great so far. The did any shape you want for the deck and were helpful with any questions along the way. Out of all the people I contacted for the project, Taber got back probably the fastest and their quote was also the more reasonable. Email back and forth were timely and they were able to squeeze us in within a reasonable time (rain made it a little tricky, but it got done). People just need to realize that when you deal with a company who does many different projects, they have a lot of balls in the air sometimes and if something falls through somewhere else, they can sometimes fit you in. Other times weather and other factors may play into your plans and there is nothing that can be done about it. You just have to reschedule at a time that works for both schedules. read more

We are thrilled with the end result of our new backyard stamped concrete patio. Tom Taber was great throughout the entire process. During quoting he provided a thorough education of the process and what to look for with regards to concrete and sealer quality that other contractors may not inform you of. His priority genuinely felt like it was to make sure the end result was to my satisfaction and long lasting whether he did it or someone else. Throughout the whole process he was professional and flexible. His crew was efficient and I was amazed with the speed in which they worked. Tom Taber and Taber Builders will be my first call in the future for additional concrete work! read more

Although I can not base my review on work done. I can write a review on the horrible customer service I received. I contacted Taber Builders almost two weeks ago. After an initial time estimate, I told them I was unable to meet their estimated time. Not only did Tom Taber (or whoever it is that handles emails from Taber Builders on behalf of Tom) not contact me back to set up another time but he ignored the email I wrote afterwards apologizing for my inability to meet his time frame from the first email estimation. Given the fact I got one time estimation out of him seems to be a miracle at this point. If Tom wishes to rectify this situation, he need only contact me to set things right. I am not against a company earning back a customer's trust. read more

We have a stamped concrete driveway and patio. Taber Builders antiqued the concrete and sealed it. They did a great job on our stamped concrete patio. My cousin actually had them to theirs first and I visited one day and was blown away on how amazing the patio looked. A large section of patio had cracked and sunk towards the foundation. Water collected at the foundation and in heavy rains found its way into the basement. Due to limited access, the patio had to be broken up by hand and the new concrete brought in by wheelbarrow. Tom Taber was great to work with. He was quick to respond to my call and quick to provide a bid. His crew arrived when promised and did what was promised. They were courteous and did an excellent job. Overall, working with Taber Builders was an excellent experience. read more
