THANK YOU TAB ROOTER AND PLUMBING! Woke up early and found that my water heater was dead. Water was super cold. I went outside and checked the pilot light was dead, no matter what I tried, I could not get it to stay lit. I started to do a bit of youtube research, and figured out it was the thermal coupler... seems to always be an issue. After watching about 30 minutes of videos, I felt I could try it out myself... my wife just wanted it fixed... so I called a few plumbers and all of them had an answering service that would get back to me. Tab Rooter and Plumbing answered quickly, told me I would be one of their first visits between 9AM and 10AM... and fair price I should expect to pay. Eddie arrived early and was very confident about the issue. He quickly assessed and knew what needed to be done. He did not seem to mind me looking over his shoulder the entire time, in case I wanted to do it myself the next time. When he starting pulling things out, I knew it would have been impossible to do that myself. Unless you are VERY familiar there is no way you should think you can get all that done your self. Just give them a call, service call was quick and the price is right. When I finally got a call back from those other local 5 star plumbers, their quoted prices were way higher than Tab Rooter. Job paid in full, but not finished :-(( We are remodeling our bathroom and our tile installer recommended Tab. The job included the piping portion of moving the bath & the shower drain, replacing piping for the shower, shower diverter and shower handle, and moving the piping for 2 vanity sinks. They showed up, worked hard over about a 3 day period, in the bathroom and under the house to get things set. Based on that, I would have given 4 stars, however, the tub drain couldn't be attached under the house until the floor tile was finished and the tub was ready to be set in to the bathroom. We paid them in full and we were promised by someone (withholding name) that he would return and finish hooking up the tub drain under the house. We have been calling and texting daily for over a week and no reply. We paid the full amount in good faith that he really would return and finish the job. Very disappointing. read more

Eddie came out on 30 minutes notice and deduced the source of the problem. We had had persistent leaking in an upstairs bathroom for over a year that others had tried and failed to fix. Turned out, the source of the problem was a combination of a couple of things. Once the problems were identified, Eddie went to buy the necessary parts and had everything fixed and put back together in under 3 hours. 5 stars for rapid service (didn't have to blow half of my day waiting for someone to show up between some vague windows of time such as 8 and 12 or 1 and 5 like others do), no gouging or trying to up-sell me (charged me a fair price), honest, thorough, clean, friendly and most importantly, the problem was solved once and for all. We had an ongoing problem with drainage and sewer clogs in our industrial building in Pico Rivera. We had 3 different plumbers and contractors try to get it solved, but each was just a partial or temporary fix. Found Tab Rooter online and thought we would give a local company a shot at it. Dean was at our location within the hour. He went to work diagnosing the problem, which by now had spread to 4 separate restroom areas. He worked on it without giving up, getting the first, then the second drains usable. It got late so he agreed to come back the next morning and finish the job. Dean was back as promised and worked on the job until it was done, clearing all 4 drains. As part of the work, he even had to drill thru an old cleanout cap that had been painted over so many times, it would not budge. The other plumbers did not want to touch it. Dean drilled thru it, got all the old pieces out, cleaned out the drain, and placed a new cap on it, something no one else even wanted to attempt. When all was done, I asked Dean if I should sit down to look over the invoice. He laughed and handed it to me. I was shocked by how reasonable the repairs were. After getting incredibly ridiculous estimates from 3 other plumbers and 1 handyman, to repair a leaky tank gasket and to reset 2 toilets and 1 sink, I called Tab. They were friendly and professional and the prices they quoted over the phone were very reasonable with no games, up-sells, hidden extras or bait and switch-- like I got from a couple of the other plumbers. The technician they sent, Dean, was a professional and a real gentleman, who did the work efficiently and neatly. He even whistled while he worked!
