My company has offices in Florence, and this TA is still my go-to in the Manning area. It's hard to drive from Charleston to Florence or Florence to Charleston without a potty break. The TA has clean bathrooms, and they've been renovated with some cute artwork and positive quotes. I feel safe stopping here compared to other options on I-95. The store has a good selection of coffee and fountain drinks as well. The prices on the snacky items are a bit expensive, but you've got a few fast food options at this exit if you want a snack. You'll smell the Popeyes/Taco Bell/Pizza Hut trifecta at this truck stop when you get out of the car, too! read more

Convenient location off of I95. Stopped in for gas and a bathroom break. Plenty of gas pumps during a busy time of day on Christmas. Fairly clean facility with lots of merchandise on hand inside of the convenience store. Usually stop at TA locations because of the initials (same as mine) and it feels like the big TA sign is just calling to me for a pitstop. read more

While heading south on 95, a truckstop is usually the best place for a pitstop. TA was there at the right time. We arrived during the pre-dawn hours and there were just a few cars but needed to make the stop. The parking lot was well-lit and an employee was on a golf cart nearby. I'm not sure if he was working clean-up or security but he stayed in the immediate area. It did make me feel a little better running in and out for this quick stop. As for the facilities, the restroom felt clean enough but there was some paper on the floor so minor clean-up inside could have been necessary. All in all, not a bad stop. Happy travels! read more

Well I drive a car that takes diesel of Volkswagen Jetta, whatever kind of diesel they sell it this gas station would not fit in my car's gas tank there's like a safety thing that will only allow the correct diesel to put gas in the car both of these pumps were the wrong size they have normal gasoline nozzles on the diesel. I'm sure this is not right! And the pump was filthy. I did not even bother going outside I cancelled my already approved credit card and got back on the highway and drove 15 miles to the 378 exit and there's a great little BP there with diesel and the pump is clean and the handle is clean. read more

Stopped here for a much needed bathroom/leg stretch/lunch break on a trip down I-95 during the holidays. Both the parking lot and inside were packed but everything moved rather swiftly so no one seemed to stand still for very long. The ladies room was clean and appeared to be cleaned quite often, thankfully, with no full garbage bins or unseemly odors. In the dining area was a Popeye's and a Taco Bell/Pizza hut combo. It too was clean, although extremely small and cramped in the seating area. The tables and chairs were quite beat up, obviously not made for the extreme high volume of use. There was a more "formal" dining area, that was empty. I guess most travelers just wanted familiar fast food. read more

The service was absolutely terrible. I asked how the employees were and 3 different people said fine, no how are you, which is fine but your job is customer service people! I said thank you and one out of 3 said you're welcome. At Pizza Hut I asked for the personal pepperoni, the lady said "no pepperoni" I said ok cheese. She said we might have that as she stared at me, then yelled to the back "we got cheese?!" Then I asked for the combo and she said we don't have bread sticks. I just settled with the cheese pizza. They are rude and seem like they don't appreciate their job. Worst truck stop I've been to in South Carolina. I won't be back. Bathrooms are also disgusting, they smell like urine. Very active place. Stopped for gas, toothpicks and water. Actually, got some snak mix; trucker in line in front of me wanted to apply for some discount card for fuel, so while the line backed up 10 deep, he got out all his credentials, ownership papers, I think his latest tax return and bank statements. Once it was my turn, cashier showed interest in my bag of snack food, seemed odd. He went on to describe his favorite snack foods with a wicked grin. Weird. I don't mind the wait but after I had a PM done parked did my 10 hour break and proceeded to do my pre trip inspection only to find out my truck is low on oil. Went to the service desk and told me I had to wait another 2 hours. I arrived at 7am to check in..i was the first person here..they told me to pull up to bay 5 its 9:13 am. No one has told me it will be a minute or whats the hold up..this is so ridiculous. Awesomely clean bathrooms and great coffee! I don't know why this is in the restaurants category though. There is a restaurant inside the TA, but it has a different name, and I didn't eat there. Another point of order is that the GPS location for this TA is wrong, but the address is right. This TA is located right next to I-95 on the east side. read more

For starters - I'm not a trucker. I ate in the "Country Pride" restaurant. They have a salad bar that is ok, but the rest is menu order. The kicker is, it's "all you can eat menu order". Which I thought was unique. But if you need more, then you're obviously coming off a fast. I ordered the fried chicken, they gave me half a bird. The breading however was horrible. Overall, you'd be better off eating at the Taco Bell or other fast food eateries next to the dining room. I hate to see this place become a corporate owned tourist trap. Back in the day it was locally owned and the "Menagerie" restaurant served the best breakfasts I've ever eaten. There was a home feeling to the place complete with two gigantic salt water aquariums and an upright piano. *Sigh* Nothing good lasts. read more

Dirty showers, filthy, horribly stocked convenience store and rude employees have officially made this TA the worst I've ever been to. We had the unfortunate opportunity of having to shower here. We showered in the #1 shower which is handicapped because the shower (#4) which we were originally assigned was filthy. The floor was disgusting and covered in a film of dirt and dust with used toilet paper on the toilet seat. The entire room smelled like feces. The Country Pride restaurant was closed as was the two accompanying fast food restaurants which is extremely inconvenient for professional drivers who want a quick bite to eat after an 11 hour day of driving. I went to grab a Sunkist out of the cooler and it was slightly open and leaked all over me and my shirt. I also almost tripped over empty crates that had been left lazily on the floor near the fountain drink stand. Never again. I'd rather eat road kill and shower at a rest area. read more

Stopped here today while traveling from Fayetteville, NC to Ft. Lauderdale Fl. The bathrooms could have used some attention. The first stall i went into was out of toiletpaper. The restroom didnt smell too bad but a mild fragrance would have been appreciated. The place has a nice variety of eateries to choose from. Stopped here with my husband to use the bathroom and get a quick breakfast from Taco Bell. Bathrooms were pretty clean and there was a lady in there wiping down the sinks. Had to walk through the Country Pride to get to the Taco Bell just to find out that they don't serve breakfast here! Not every trucker or traveler has the time to stop and eat a sit down breakfast. Their pre-made breakfast sandwich selection was also very minimal; choose from Canadian bacon, sausage, or a chicken biscuit. No breakfast burritos like most other TA's have. Drink selection here is very minimal as well. Good for a pee break, but not for food. read more

When I did notice the cashier Katrina walked away and disappeared for 5 minutes to come back and tell me the LARGER Gatorade is 2/4 not the small one which was above the sale sticker.... My family & I went into the Restaurant Country Pride at Jerry's, we sat down to eat. FIRST, all of our silver ware was dirty Second, we went on to fix our Salad the bowls were dirty ok we then find three cleans bowls. Third, I started drinking my sweet tea, I look in my glass it has build up grease going down the glass. PURE SLACK!!! I told the manager we will never step foot back in there AGAIN!!!!!
