I had taken my vehicle to get them to repair a power steering fluid leak, they wanted $70 just to look at it. The leak at the time I brought it to them it was a slow leak where I could drive about 150 miles before I had to refill the power steering reservoir. They called later the same day and told me that the pinion section of the rack had a hairline crack that was causing the leak. I had told the lady at the counter when I checked in that if the repair cost was over $250 that they were to call me before work. I was told that it would cost $1300 to install a new one and I told them that was more than expected. I asked them to put it back together and I'd be there to pay the $70 and drive it home. This shop was mad because I didn't want to pay them $1300 where I can buy a new rack and pinion unit for $170 and install it myself !! Don't do any business with these people, their crooks!!! read more

I was stranded at least an hour away from anyone I knew, more like an hour an half. My car was towed to Turner's and I arrived after they had went to lunch, so I was there for quite awhile. The staff was very friendly and made me as comfortable as you can get in a garage lol. They did a great job, at a very affordable price. Turner's Garage went over and above for us. The water pump bearings went bad on our 2015 F-150 while driving home to Florida on Wednesday. We stopped at a rest area on I-95 when we saw steam coming from under the hood. Most of the antifreeze was pouring out on the ground. Had it towed to Turner's Garage for them to check it out. This is where they over and above, not only did they fit us in to check out the truck, they also found a pet friendly hotel for us nearby. Received a call later in the afternoon Wednesday to tell us what they found along with the estimate and they were having the parts shipped overnight. Spoke with Turner's Garage Thursday morning and they received the parts and will try to finish the repairs. Received a call mid afternoon Thursday saying the truck was finished and will be sending their courtesy van to pick me up. The price actually came in just under the estimate. If I could I would give them 0 stars. They charged my fiancee 3x more than what the shop we took the car to. Plus when we got the car back from them it was in worse shape than when we took it in originally. Also when we told them that we were not coming back for the services the continued calling and texting us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

This is the worst shop in Sumter, I bought my BMW in for crank issues that I was charge 900 bucks to fix and they fix nothing. When I receive my car back it was in worst shape than ever. It still had crank issues no ABS and stall out on me at a red light. When I went back I was told they needed $250 to fix the problem I just paid $900 bucks to fix. I was told they finally found the problem and it was a $250 fix. So ether your are robbing me or don't know what you are doing. I did my research on the part I was told by the owner that I needed and it only cost $50 dollars online. I ask since they missed diagnose my car the first time and had my $900 that I just needed to pay for the part and I should not be charge for labor which I thought would be good customer service and was told no they needed the extra $250. The job he did the first time was supposed to be under warranty and they told me the warranty coverd them lookin at my car aging to tell me what they should have done the first time. This place sucks save your money and your car and run from Turners Garage. read more

This is only the second time I've taken my BMW here and my last. The first time was for an oil change and replace tail light. I took it early one morning and was called later in the afternoon asking if they could keep it until the next day. For a scheduled oil change and light replacement? My husband was going out of town so I needed my car to have a way to work (in Manning). I got it back around 5PM. The tail light never worked right...worked sometimes, sometimes not. Now this time was for an oil change and rotate/balance/alignment of my tires. No warning lights whatsoever when I took my car in at 8:30AM. It was close to 5PM, and we had heard nothing so we called them...well they "forgot" to do the tires. Only did the oil change (had my car for 8-1/2hrs)...so had to leave it another day! They did discount our bill $38 after hearing our complaints but very inconvenient and after keeping it an extra day...they're saying a couple halo lights are out...$200+ dollars and now have warning lights on my dash about it! My husband walks outside this morning and there's a lug nut in our driveway. It's off of my car! Luckily nothing bad happened...luckily we found it in our own driveway...just no confidence or trust in this business whatever. 37+ years experience means nothing when you allow cars to leave your business like this. We were told they've "only had one tire come off" of a car they've worked on...luckily ours wasn't the second. Unbelievable. read more

Its Tuesday, its 96 degrees, three hours from home and we are stranded on I95. The Clarendon County Chief Deputy Sheriff, Taylors Towing and Turners Garage rescued us. Mr. Turner missed part of his vacation to work on our vehicle. Excellent customer service! Offered snacks, coffee or real food if we wanted it. Spent the night in Sumter to insure a safe return to home. Mr. Turner could fix the necessary part but offered he could replace the water pump (it was 15 years old and on its way out) while he was in that area but we would need to spend the night for them to get the part. This saved us the additional labor charges at a later date. We were pleased with the price, quality of work, sense of urgency and great people to deal with. We would highly recommend Turner's Garage.
