I am from Cali and so today 8/1/19 was my first time at T4 in Oregon. They have a large variety of drinks and food (which is a 10/10 in my opinion) But the customer service was what gave me a bad impression of this place. As it says on the receipt the person who took my order was "Anna" who kept rolling her eyes at me and mean mugging me. As I was trying to sit with my son after getting my drink, she still kept starring at me which make me feel really uncomfortable. She really made me feel like I wasn't welcomed. Super excited that T4 FINALLY came to the Portland area! I've always had T4 in the Bay Area and Redding and wished Portland had good boba spots and now we finally have T4 and other boba spots! My go to is their earl grey milk tea with boba, some times I drink it so fast, I should've ordered a second one lol. I've also had their grapefruit tea and that's pretty good too. I was so excited that a new bubble tea place opened close to my house, so that I don't have to travel to Beaverton for good BBT. I got the royal peach smoothie with boba, and it missed it's mark. The smoothie itself was not smooth; I was chewing ice! I had them remake it and second time is the same. I was so upset I told them again but walked out without having them make it a third time since they were busy. Is this what I expect for $5.50. Either your blender is low quality or you just need to blend the shit out of your smoothies before giving them to your customers. We went here recently and I was quite satisfied with my order. I had the traditional Thai tea, and I felt that the amount of sweetness and the texture of the boba was perfect. This is my go-to boba and snack place since it is so close to my apartment. I've never been disappointed in any drink or food I've received. The unagi plate is fantastic and is my favorite food to order here. The basil chicken is also delicious as well as the egg puff waffles. My experience left me feeling pretty meh. Clean store and friendly staff. Prices are pretty on par with what you'd find at comparable places. My issue is more about my drink. I had the boba (pearls) with Thai Tea. The boba was extremely over cooked. My daughter had tried this place a few weeks ago and said the same thing, so I believe this is always how they make it. One of the employees asked me if I had a mask while I was in line to order and I told her I don't, to which she asked me why and I plainly explained that I am medically unable to wear one. She went and got the manager who came and told me I must be wearing a mask in the shop or else I cannot be served. I tried explaining to her that because of my asthma I am physically intolerant of masks and she said that they don't even restrict oxygen... then asked for a medical form to prove my claim, which I obviously don't casually carry around with me. The tea's are not bad! I particularly like their mango smoothie. I have tried some of the milk teas and they are not my favorite, but they are not bad! I really enjoyed their matcha with mini boba! They have a very wide variety of teas to choose from which can be overwhelming for someone like me, but also great for trying new things! The location is very convenient. Right in the square with target across from the mall. I came to their soft opening and a few times since then. They have improved on a lot of things! For example, their customer service has improved greatly! Last time I went they were apologetic about the wait. That was nice! They also got stamp cards now. One FYI: Every time I have been here the location was packed with people. Expect to wait at least 10-20 minutes for the whole process of ordering and getting the tea. The place was nothing fancy or special, it's just your average boba shop. I think it's just missing something, almost like it's "unfinished." (If that makes any sense.)
