Unfortunately, the tea had a horrible artificially fragrance I couldn't taste the taro flavor. The fragrance was so off putting it overpowered everything including the aloe jelly and I couldn't finish my almost $9 drink (the popping boba and aloe jelly cost $.95 each and tip was included). If my usual go-to flavor for first time tries is so bad I don't dare try other flavors or combinations. I really wanted to like this boba shop but alas was very disappointed.

The mango milk tea mostly just tasted like sour milk. The mango mochi milk was sweet and refreshing, but a bit confusing because the mochi was so hot and gloopy, not the sort of Japanese mochi I'm used to, and the drink was so cold, so it was an odd contrast... As for the sweets, they're really expensive. I bought a matcha cookie once but it was sort of terrible... The taste was odd, and it was somehow simultaneously doughy and stale. I wouldn't buy food there again, but I might come back some time to try a different drink.

Cons: Mall hours mean closing at 8pm on certain days, which is early for night owls. There is no real place to hang and chill since you are dealing with mall traffic and constant noise levels, especially on weekends. Not as many selections as other tea shops, but what they offer is solid quality for your money. My favorite order is the brown sugar tea with soy milk substitute and aiyu topping. This is the only place in Portland that offers aiyu topping.
