The bigger the balls the better. I feel like T4 has probably the biggest and chewiest bobas ever, MAJOR PLUS. If you're not into big balls then they have mini bobas too which I have not seen at any boba place in portland yet....? Breakdown of the drinks: Taro milk tea and smoothie: the taste of the taro here is definitely more unique than any of the taro drinks I've ever had and I'm still unsure if whether I like it or not. Correct me if I'm wrong but it tastes like there's really taro in there? Because it tastes really starchy Oolong milk tea: was a bit disappointed because oolong is my go to drink but the tea flavor was not as strong as I prefer. Winter melon milk tea: BOMB and highly recommended. Too good for more words. Passion fruit green tea: definitely recommend lowering sweetness level to half. Extremely sweet but the passion fruit flavor is there and it is so good and refreshing Green tea and red bean waffles: so good and stayed crispy for so long! Didn't care for the green tea one because it just tasted like regular waffle flavor to me. The red bean one was delicious. ~$5.50 for a waffle is a bit expensive though because other places sells them for $3. read more

Between a 4 and a 5, but I will rate a 5, because I like their huge menu of drinks and snacks! I came here twice during their grand opening, so it was quite busy. The 2nd time was poor service(problems/confusions with my order), but they came up to me afterwards and gave me a 2nd freshly made egg waffle(the original one sat for so long on the counter it got soggy), so I liked that they noticed and made it right. It was a matcha egg waffle with tapioca btw! I liked the chewy boba in it, but I wish it had a bit more matcha flavor. But overall, I enjoyed it! I also tried their popcorn chicken. It was good, but personally I would have liked it to be a bit more seasoned. Drinks: Soy green milk tea with SMALL pearls(Try the small ones!) and topped with cheese cream. I know this can be a weird combo to some people, but I like trying unusual combos! I really liked my drink!! The CHEESE cream was bomb! Fresh avocado smoothie with lychee coconut jelly. It was my bad for choosing the lychee jelly, because the sourness of the lychee was quite overpowering. BUT I would pass on this avocado smoothie, as it tasted more icy than avocadoey. read more

I walked into this place looking for a sweet treat. The menu was overwhelming. I had to ask a few questions to try and figure out what to get. I decided on the avocado smoothie after asking the cashier a bit about it. I've always thought it sounded pretty awful, but I'm willing to take a risk anyway. I was 12 minutes away from happy hour, which would go from $5.45 to $3.00. I'm cheap, what can I say? I already made my selection, but I had lots of time to waste...so I studied the menu even further and I creepily stared at what other people had ordered. The food items looked tasty and fattening and I need to go back to try it. Overall, I liked my avocado and I would get it again...they overdid the boba though. Next time, I'd ask for maybe half of what comes standard. read more

In the vast landscape of boba joints now dotting the Portland area, T4 is a standout for sure! My gold standard is the original milk tea, and T4's version is just right. I really enjoy how I can customize the sweetness and amount of ice, and their tapioca pearls are the consistently good. Their Royal Teas are equally delicious. My daughter is a fan of the Strawberry Milkshake, even if I think it tastes just awful haha. On the food front, we really enjoy their Basil Popcorn Chicken. However, we were recently disappointed with the Taiwanese Minced Pork with Rice. It was tasty, but there was so little of the minced pork that it felt like I was paying $9 for just rice. Our T4 experience has only been during the pandemic, but each pick-up has been easy and our orders have correct each time. I also really like the ability to order right inside the Yelp app. read more

This place is so cute! I got the snow globe and pearl milk tea which was super delicious! The snow globe contains a jelly like texture. The milk tea with pearl and coffee jelly is super delicious! Update: after they've been open for a months now I feel like they've been lacking their service and drinks. Boba has been inconsistent with flavor and times where tapioca balls are kind of hard. The workers seem unhappy to be there too.. read more

I ordered basil popcorn chicken for takeout and requested the spiciest level. When I received my order, the chicken was plain. I told the server the order was wrong and requested that they fix it. Their supervisor or coworker told the server to give it back to me and to add the spices myself. I would understand if they were busy but it was just me and someone waiting for their order. The 3 servers just stood behind the register and talked. This is my last time going there due to terrible service. read more

I visited this location a total of 3 or 4 times just to make sure the store wasn't having one of their "bad days". My conclusion is come here for the snacks but not the drinks. + Large variety of snacks + Popcorn chicken is meaty and well battered and you can control and add extra powder spice + Original egg waffle was nice and soft, however, it had a coconut taste to it and I didn't really like that - Not much tea flavor in the drinks Service was mediocre. Some days were good and some days weren't as good. I think it just depends on who is working. My suggestion is get a drink from a different place and bring it in with you and just order the snacks. read more

New boba spot with tons of menu options. Tried the milk tea and roasted oolong tea. Both drinks have good natural tea flavor that's not bitter. Boba was chewy. You can adjust the sweetness and ice level for your drink. Popular spot, kind of crowded read more

Ah! I normally dont do bad reviews, or any reviews at all, but the service was just horrible. Walking in i was ready to order right away the cashier just stared at me. Didnt say a word to approach the desk saying she was ready for me. She waited for me to say things first. When i wanted to use my stamp card (it was full and i had a free drink) they deducted the CHEAPEST drink. I requested that they change it to the most expensive one (to get my moneys worth!) They said they couldnt unless they cancel and restart the order. Explaining how it would be inconvenient for them. I shrugged, understanding it, and just paid. When it was time to pay, i didnt want to tip. I didnt feel compelled to. The lady snarkly said to me "since you wont tip its option 4" before i could even make my selection. As soon as i walked away waiting for my drinks i see them gather around and stare at me. The drinks were very watered down. I asked for 30% ice on all my drinks, and had over half the cup filled with ice. I understand if that means that my drink will not be as full, but i dont like the watery taste. Very unprofessional. It looks like recently (through the reviews) that they have had questionable service lately. You are 100% better off driving to T4 in west union in hillsboro than this t4 (beaverton-progress ridge) T4 in west union will be kinder and will go the extra mile. Unlike this location. read more

I stopped by T4 on the second day of their soft opening and was very pleased with my order. I got the passion fruit royal tea with cheese cream on top, a definite favorite drink of mine I discovered when I was in Asia! I had yet to find a truly good cheese cream here in the Portland area until T4! They have a wide variety of toppings and sooooo many different drinks. You can also adjust the sweetness and ice levels of your drink if you please. I didn't have the chance to try any of their food items but I plan to come back very soon to try some as well as their other drinks. read more

Very poor customer service experience here. My son and I were waiting and they were blaring music with all kinds of cussing and racist language, I mean at least 20 f bombs in the first minute. I brought it up to them and they changed it to Disney and started talking crap in the back of the building about my request. One employee even said " guys you know they can hear you, right?" Yes , your clients can hear you if your going to speak that loud. The audacity of one of them to say " oh let's put in a little kiddie song for the little kid" read more

I used to go to T4 in Dublin, CA at least 2-3 times a month. One of the things I like about this place is I can adjust the sweetness and the amount of ice of the drinks. This T4 add full 100% sugar to their flavors (i.e. lychee, passion fruit, etc.) which means if you order a lychee iced tea and want 30% sweetness, you also only get 30% lychee flavor. What?! Then what's the point of this customization of ice and sweetness??? Out of the 4 drinks I ordered, only one can adjust sweetness. I think I will stick to Ding Tea in PDX. It has the authentic Taiwanese flavor and lets you customize sweetness for majority of their drinks!! P.S. Their egg puff is coconut flavored (again What? and Why??). This is not posted anywhere on the menu nor do they tell you when you order. If you don't like coconut flavor, don't order this item. read more

Not a bad T4 at all. Came here around 8pm on a Saturday during COVID-19 and everything went pretty smoothly. The staff wore face masks and were pretty efficient. What I liked: - Popcorn chicken was pretty good. Came out piping hot! - Pretty solid Royal Milk tea. - Boba was chewy. - Great location, parking is easy. - *Pro tip: Always always always get 50% sugar. 50% is basically the normal sweetness your tastebuds are expecting. What is just ok: - Milk tea tasted a bit diluted - consider getting 30% ice. read more

I got the elegant rose tea with boba, the roasted oolong milk tea with grass jelly, royal milk tea with boba and the amber latte with boba The elegant rose tea is bombbb but I should've asked them to lessen the syrup cause it was a little too sweet for me. Their boba was a little too overcooked which caused it to be a bit chewy and kind of melts. The roasted oolong milk tea is okay. I like a strong tea flavor and so I adjusted it to 80% sweetness and I tasted a very subtle tea flavor. Maybe next time I'll adjust the sweetness more. Amber latte was okay as well. Tastes just like any other la Now the royal milk tea was extremely disappointing. It tasted like water. Got 100% sweetness and it really didn't taste like anything to me. Popcorn chicken was great! I feel like some places skimp on the actual chicken part and most of it is batter but there were decent size chicken Overall, I'll still come back and try other teas. They just opened so I'm sure they're still perfecting their drinks. Still worth a try if you're a boba fanatic. Update: went back and tried the wintermelon milk tea, avocado smoothie, taro milk tea and the roasted oolong tea. Wintermelon milk tea is great! I wish I could've adjusted the sweetness on it but I was told there's no extra sugar added to it so maybe it's syrup? Not sure but either way it was still good. Avocado smoothie was solid. Taro milk tea had a very light taro flavor. I feel like it probably still needs some work but maybe every place is different. Roast oolong tea really just tasted like tea you get at any Chinese restaurant. It was suuuuper subtle and just tasted like water. I really wish they had a stronger tea taste. Overall I recommend the wintermelon milk tea and the elegant rose tea! read more

Milk teas are good, my favorite is the winter melon, the rose taste like someone shoved a flower in your mouth, and the ice teas (according to my friend) taste like tap water. I've been here a lot since the grand opening, and Service is 5/5, drinks 4/5, and food 3/5. The takoyaki ain't that good btw(probably frozen), it tasted like raw flour and the octopus was really rubbery. I came before my graduation and my friends and I took some cute pics. read more

Good and bad reviews. First visit on grand opening of the week. Waited about 10 minutes in line. After my order the drinks came out so fast. That's a plus plus 5/5. Second visit, the drinks took about 10 minutes to come out but my food took about 20-25 mins, kinda a bummer bcuz my younger bro couldn't wait to eat; he was starving. But I would like to say the popcorn chickens were really really good. This visit is the 3/5. Next time the cashier or other coworkers should let the customer know how long the wait may take. I'll still come back to try other food and see how this place will improve with friendly employees. read more

Fresh Avocado Smoothie- 80% sweet, % ice. Looking for a non-decaf drink, this was an excellent refreshing choice. It wasn't too sweet, wasn't too icy (actually somewhat creamy) and all around just right. On the other hand, we did get a honey peach smoothie 80% sweet, 0% ice and it wasn't as good. It tasted too sweet and a bit too icy. Honey Peach Royal Tea (80% sweet, 30 % ice) though is terrific! Classical Rose milk tea with pudding (80% sweet, 30 % ice) has been one of my fav's. All around enjoy T4. They have great drinks. read more

I struggled with what star rating to give based on what I got. I ordered a thai tea with pearls. The tea itself was quite delicious. The boba/pearls...not good at all. Probably wont be by here again to try their other drinks. read more

This place is great and it really only needs one thing for me to say that - the Amber Pearl Latte. This is their iteration of the typical brown sugar milk you'll find at places in Taiwan or in Vancouver, BC. Milk, brown sugar syrup cooked with boba, with both the syrup and boba added to the milk. The boba in this drink is always served warm, the syrup isn't a fake caramel tasting syrup, and the combination is unbeatable. This drink is always my test of quality now in a shop like this (alongside a foam/jasmine tea styled drink) and this is among the best I've had from more boba saturated markets (the greater Portland area is still burgeoning as a boba market). read more

Everything was going great! We ordered two of the popcorn chicken and 2 earl grey - it was so delicious and flavorful! But when we tried the jasmine green milktea (with standard sugar) it was bland and way too watered down. We were not able to taste the jasmine or green tea. Therefore, we decided to call the shop to let them know what happened, they apologized (which was good), but didn't even try to fix the problem. We ended up just throwing the drinks out because it was basically water... Anyways, I would recommend tasting your drinks before leaving the shop~ It was just disappointing that they didn't offer to remake it or partial refund. Overall, great experience with other items! read more

Bubble tea shops has been popping in the PDX area and this is my least favorite one. T4 recently opened and advertised for $2.50 (approximately 20 % off) but does not include toppings on all drinks from May 31 - June 3. The price ranges from $4.00-$5.45 depending on the type of drink. This is enticing but little did we know the quality wasn't that great. The discount is only valid if quality followed. I didn't physically go into the location but my husband did. He ordered the classic milk tea w/boba but they forgot the boba. He ordered me the elegant rose tea w/boba with 1/2 the sweetness. I took a sip of his when he got home and the milk tea is completely watered down as if it was intended to cut cost. My drink was really strong, sweet even though my husband requested for 1/2 if the sweetness. I didn't care for it very much. I only ordered it because my colleague mentioned it was good. There was some rose petals in my drink. First impression always counts but we didn't experience that. Needless to say we will not return. read more

*Summer happy hour where all drinks are $3!!!! Toppings are still an additional $0.50, but where else can you get quality boba tea for $3.50?! Love this new(ish) boba place in Beaverton! It is a prime location in Progress Ridge and I love the environment. It is always very clean and the employees provide excellent service! My favorite drink is the grapefruit royal tea -- I have never seen this drink anywhere else! I also enjoy the passion fruit royal tea, as it takes like fresh passion fruit juice. I prefer 30% sugar because I need to be healthy. They also offer ice adjustments. For food, I really enjoy the popcorn chicken, string beans, and mozzarella sticks! Probably not the healthiest, but they taste so delicious that I have to indulge!! They also have a stamp card where if you buy 10 you get the 11th drink free! You can combine stamp cards too, which is convenient as some other places don't allow you to. read more

I have been hearing a lot of about T4 from other boba tea enthusiast mutual friends and it's by far presented much impression. My sister and I have been going frequently this last weekend as they were doing their grand opening $2.50 deal (what an absolute steal!) three out of the four days they were promoting I really love their taro milk tea - it's creamy and rich; not to mention other flavors like earl grey, and jasmine milk tea. The staff is very, very quick! During busy hours and grand opening, I was able to get my order done within 7-12 minutes max. Quick service, but also very high quality tea. A bit of a stretch of a commute as I come from Hillsboro, but a good tea shop to stop by if ever on Barrows Rd. and Progress Ridge The shop is also very spacious for its seating area so it is a great meet up spot for friends. Disclaimer: both me and my partner are regular tea drinkers who enjoy high quality loose leaf teas from Taiwan and China. We do also indulge in boba milk teas that are good in quality from time to time. I was very excited about T4 opening in the Portland area after hearing good things about them. After doing extensive research both from T4's official website and reviews online, we decided to try their drinks. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by the quality of both drinks we ordered. We got the following drinks and snacks - 1. Royal Fresh Milk Tea, 0% sweetness, regular ice, with boba. We tasted no tea flavor in it whatsoever. It tasted like watered down milk, literally. 2. Grapefruit Royal Tea, 30% sweetness, 80% ice, with boba. There was a very faint taste of tea in this drink. I do like there are bits of grapefruits in my drink, which was the only positive part about it. The Chinese name of T4 is " the Royal Tea Master", yet I tasted no mastery in my drink. The bobas were not bad, but nothing to write home about. 3. Egg puffs, original flavor. Now I did like the egg puffs! They are crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, just the right consistency! All in all, I was really disappointed by the quality of their drinks. Compared with another chain boba shop Sharetea, which also advertises as using freshly brewed tea, their milk tea actually tasted like tea with milk. But for really good quality milk tea in the Beaverton area, I highly recommend Bubble N Tea! I did like the snack I tried at T4 and therefore most likely will go back just for that. read more

Their royal rose tea is loose leaf, which is fine, except they don't tell you and you end up drinking the leaves. Too sweet for my preference. I've also had the honey peach tea and a regular milk tea and even when toning down the sweetness, they both seem sweet. It's not powder sweet, but it doesn't seem fresh. Not related to drinks; every time I've come here, service is exceptionally slow. No matter the number of customers, even if it's two or six customers, service is abysmally slow. read more

I first came into t4 expecting a great experience with top of the line customer service. I was surely mistaken. As soon as I walked into the store, all workers were on their phones and chatting to each other. I walked up to the counter and immediately got a look of distain from the cashier. When I tried to order my drink (earl grey milk tea with popcorn chicken), the workers all seemed to be annoyed that they had to do their job. They first brought out my drink, but the popcorn chicken...the popcorn chicken took another 45 MINUTES to come out. When I got my food, it was cold and by that time I had already finished my tea. I asked why the food had taken so long and the workers just said that it was backed up in the kitchen, even though there was almost nobody who had come in after me. I also noticed that no one was wearing gloves whilst touching my food. This place doesn't meet the USDA food sanitary requirements. This place is horrible. 0/10 would not recommend AT ALL. I would recommend the taro smoothie! Probably one of the better ones in the Beaverton area. Fresh taro and smooth blend!! The tea runs pretty sweet and they're very generous with toppings which is nice. For fruit teas DEFINITELY reduce the sweetness to about half if you're the type who actually enjoys tea flavor! As for snacks my crew recommends: -Calamari -Popcorn chicken -Takoyaki Not the BEST versions of these snacks, but It'll def hit the spot when you're hanging out w friends and want a snack!! I think the orientation of the line could be much more efficient though. It should embrace the perimeter of the store and not cut right through the middle. read more

Haven't had great experiences here. The workers aren't very friendly nor welcoming. Instead of "we will be with you in one moment" my friend and I just got "give us one second" in a tone not so great. I understand it can be busy & stressful when training but having attitude to guests is not pleasant. Also had a question about a tea and got a look like we were dumb for asking. Then the cashier said "did you see the options" for leaving a tip.. so felt obligated. I usually leave tips but not if treated this way. It's getting hard to keep up with all the new boba shops opening but T4 is worth a visit! I went with some friends during their soft opening on Memorial Day. (20% off!) Interior was clean and lets in nice natural light. As far as I've experienced, employees were nice and even with it being relatively busy we got all our drinks pretty quick. They call out order numbers so you'll have to pay attention. I ended up getting the Mango Royal Tea with 30% sugar and boba. Toppings are an extra 50 cents but you'll get a really reasonable amount! If you're not a big fan of super sugary drinks I would get reduced sugar-- even with 30% my drink was a good sweetness. My boyfriend got the taro milkshake which I thought was a little icy but still super tasty. I feel like with a couple of bubble tea places you lose the actual tea so in that sense I really liked T4! The staff doesn't make the rules, they just have to follow them, for the safety of the customers. They have rules, please don't take items before you're called, for a reason.
