The inside can seat 20 individuals. Service was friendly and waters refilled several times. - Original tonkotsu ($15.99) - pork bone broth was light. Lacked a creamy, rich complexity. Asked for my noodles firm, which had a decent bite. Best item was the two slices of chashu, torched and tender. - Yuzu shio ($15.99) - switched for rice noodles ($1.00 extra). Yuzu broth had a slight citrusy note. Plenty of noodles but only one chashu slice. Decent ramen at RA. 3.5 stars.

I really appreciate that you can "mix and match" menu items, choosing a broth, noodle type, and toppings from different parts of the menu. We got original tonkotsu, and Yuzu shio but with vegetarian toppings. Noodles are just the right firmness, and the broth is well balanced, not too rich, not too salty. It felt like a big space for the number of tables, which was nice, not crowded. Would definitely recommend.

What a surprise find in Penticton!! A Japanese-run ramen shop!!…read more The menu was contemporary and creative. It even offered a creamy vegan ramen which was AMAZING! It's one of the best ramen broths I've ever had! I'll admit it was a little strange to see cilantro in top of ramen, but it worked. There was also shredded cabbage, negi/leeks, carrots and smoky tofu. The soup was super decadent and creamy with a deep shiitake flavor. I don't know how they got this broth so good but I was sure not to let it go to waste. I finished as much of it as I could. The bf ordered the KOJO Chicken Ramen. The chicken was tender and lightly grilled on the outside for extra umami. There was a nice balance of veggies and the egg was a bit overdone for a ramen egg but was fine for his preferences. We also shared the veggie roll. It was pretty simple and tasted as you would expect. Call it blasphemy but I loved the ramen broth so much I dipped the sushi in the broth instead of shoyu. I stand by my decision. If you live in Penticton, I hope you become a regular here. If you're visiting, you definitely need to reserve a meal here. The food is top notch!

I had the Chashu Men with an Extra Egg and my wife had the Spicy Red Miso Ramen.

They specialize in yatai style ramen and do everything from scratch; that's right, handmade noodles and broth from scratch. You can usually find them on weekends at Kettle River Brewing Co. We dropped in on a Saturday afternoon (around 5:00pm). There's only 6 (technically 5) options on the menu; legit. The wife takes your orders while the husband cooks. Wish they had a table or two for seating (they normally do but we dropped in when they were at a festival). While I'm nitpicking, wish they used a larger, more bowl shaped takeout container. - Traditional shoyu ramen (#1) ($11.50) - handmade noodles in a from-scratch chicken pork broth flavoured with a soya sauce blend base. It came topped with green onions, spinach and chashu pork. The noodles were slightly firm (which I prefer) and had a good bite. Chashu slices were tender but quite fatty. The broth was clean tasting and had good depth - White miso ramen (#2) ($12.25) - same broth but flavoured with a white miso paste. This came topped with green onion, corn and chashu. The broth for the white miso was very rich and heavy. The noodles clung better but I'm not sure I could drink a whole bowl to myself. LTR is doing things right. It won't beat the ramen game in Vancouver but for Kelowna, it's a solid spot. 3.5 stars.

Food Presentation and service were good, but the ramen was so so. The noodles were soft and soggy. Not the best or above average ramen I have had.

I ordered the spicy red tonkatsu and my boyfriend got the miso tonkatsu ramen. We called in our order and were told it would be ready in 10 mins. When we picked up the containers, we were told to keep them upright to avoid spilling. When we got back home we heated up the soup and poured it over the noodles, excited to take a bite. The broth was good but not great, with a simple tonkatsu flavour profile, similar to a Chinese style noodle soup broth. The noodles were thick wavy and unfortunately rather clumpy. My boyfriend said the black fungus in his soup tasted stale. I enjoyed my soup and toppings but wished there was more besides charsiu and scallions. The egg was excellent! I should mention that we've been to Japan several times so are used to a certain level of quality when it comes to ramen. While Wakayama was decent, sadly we don't think we'll be back for another visit. Parking is easily found on the lot just outside.

Everything made just like the way we normally get or tasted like from what you get at the sushi restaurant from Vancouver. This place is ran by authentic Japanese people. Not loud or rowdy at all, and felt more like a restaurant than a bar honestly. I'm writing this review because it's spring and this ski resort is mostly empty, and a ski resort in the middle of the Okanagan is not where I would have expected to find a ramen menu in a bar-bistro. Yet they reassured me the chefs were trained properly. So I decided to be brave and give this place a chance. I was pretty glad I was open minded. Myself and 2 of my kids had ramen. One had chicken broth which was not bad. Mine was a miso and mushroom garlic / "black oil" broth. I added egg and roasted pork belly. My summary is - I'm satisfied with this ramen. It's pretty good considering where it is. It's not the same as Vancouver ramen but it's still good in its own right and I would have it again. Pork belly - this was EXCELLENT. Crispy and full of flavour. Wow. Egg - decent ramen - thick, it was ok. Doesn't stand out but good enough. Broth - it's thick. It's not miso. It's not tonkatsu either. It's kinda like curry but not spicy. I mean curry like in consistency. However it's interesting enough. Stuff - bamboo. Green onions, though cut kinda funny. Anyways, give this place a chance. The burger according to my burger fan daughter was really good, and my wife's winter vegetable torte was really good too.
