Food is really good. Best Korean restaurant in Kelowna that we've tried. However, servers can be a little bit accommodating.

My go-to spot for sushi in Kelowna will always be Bluetail, however, because it isn't in the…read moredowntown area, and I was craving some sushi, I decided to check this place out. It's very small and it's a little dark inside-- not the classy dark, just dark-- but that's okay. The decor isn't as refined as Bluetail's, but that isn't really telling of the restaurant quality. Here is what I ordered: 1) yam and avocado roll 2) spicy tuna roll 3) mango flower roll 4) half an order of prawn tempura Yam/avo roll was pretty standard, although it seemed that the yam tempura wasn't freshly prepared. The spicy tuna roll was really good! I am actually surprised because the sauce was a little more vinegar-y, but it really worked out, especially because the tuna was almost melting in my mouth. I was kind of disappointed in the Mango Flower roll, to be honest. It did not look like a special roll, it was literally just a yam-avo roll with beet/red onion inside, topped with mango chunks and shredded beet along with a beet sauce. It was kind of sad. Honestly, it tasted pretty decent, I just expected something a little different for the $10 that it was priced at. The service lacks a little bit, I did have to wave the server down about three times in order to get a refill for my water. But I have a spidey sense telling me that it might have been an off day. Overall, it was a good experience; I think I will be back to try some more rolls (I want to try the Ogopogo roll next) and I'll update accordingly!

I had lunch at Zen Sushi today and was pleasantly surprised. First, I know that I love sushi and…read morepretty much all other Asian cuisines. I know this about myself. And then I get sad when I eat pasta, chicken and fries and sandwiches for 3 days straight.... I just can't. So I was in desperate need of some medium grain rice when I headed into this place. I knew from the name that there was some Korean food options being served here. They have a bunch of Korean fried chicken options, but there are also Japanese foods like katsu on the menu that don't involve raw fish. I got the nigiri lunch special. For $21 in the heart of downtown Kelowna, I thought it was a fair price. The lunch special comes with 4 pieces of nigiri, a shrimp tempura/California roll, a few pieces of tempura, deep fried spring rolls, miso soup and a small salad. The salad dressing was good, but the leaves were a little old. Other than that, everything else was great. The tempura was so crispy and the roll was pretty good. The fish quality probably could have been better, but honestly this is middle America and I've had a lot worse. The service was sooooo nice. Everyone I've met in restaurants in Kelowna have been so nice and this was no exception. I loved that my water had a little slice of lemon in it and that they checked on me without being irritating. The food came out fast and I easily paid when I was ready to go. The inside has quite a few tables and nice heavy chairs that remind me of old, fancy Chinese restaurants. They even have an outside eating area. There are some other sushi spots along Bernard street, but this one was the closest to the waterfront. I enjoyed my experience here and would come back if I had the opportunity.

Fantastic spot in Kelowna downtown for interesting sushi rolls and some Korean bites. We ordered a…read morefew rolls. Highly recommend their mango dragon and ogopogo which I think are the most popular here anyway. All the rolls were great. Good rice to filling ratio and lots of fresh flavours. We also got the snow onion fried chicken. Very very nicely fried chicken. Love the crispy and thin batter. The chicken is still juicy too! Service here is also fantastic. Really friendly and always checking in on you to make sure everything's great, without interrupting your meal. Just a great place to go with friends wether for a nice catch up or a quick meal. Be back soon!!

It's in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you from enjoying fine fare across the highway from the Kelowna airport. Is it possible for you to open another location closer to our house in the LM? Please! It's that good folks, don't let the naysayers keep you away. It's not a large place, but surrounded by booths with tables in the middle, it's very clean, nicely appointed and bright. We were greeted warmly, and arriving 45 minutes prior to closing we were reminded that we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal, which was a nice change in mindset close to closing. The spicy Miso is a must try if you like Miso, it was SO good, and not too spicy. We'll be making it at home this way from now on. $10.00 of the bottle of Stoneleigh on Mondays was a find for the lovely K, as it's her favourite. The Chicken Yakisoba was delicious and plentiful, I could not tuck it all away, even wanting to do so. K's Shoyu Ramen with Chasi was equally good, and also a good sized bowl. The service was excellent with Wena (who we were told was training) looking after us. She was very attentive in all regards. We would 100% recommend this amazing place if you are in the neighbourhood, and even if you have to drive from Kelowna proper. We can't wait to come again. I came back a couple days later and had lunch here after our great dinner of a couple nights ago. I wanted to try one of the lunch Bento boxes as they did not have them on the dinner menu. Again added the hot Miso soup which is so good. Lunch did not disappoint either. This will be a go to every time we are in the Kelowna area.
