a plate of sushi and a pickle

Good, affordable sushi. The menu is large with a lot of variety. The onion tempura roll is a personal favourite of mine. My family and I love coming here because we can feed the 4 of us for 60 dollars, which is a great price.

Pretty fresh sushi / sashimi and decent portion size. We ordered take out, The restaurant was accommodating with modifications (we have very young kids). Friendly service and provided good suggestions.

Great place for Japanese dining. This was my second time. Good and service are amazing. We ordered several different dishes and they all were great. Check out the pictures attached. The flavors far outdo the visual, which was already well done. I can recommend this place to anyone.

This review is for the Lakeshore location. Been here a few times and it's always been good. Everyone I've been with has enjoyed their food and the service is always great and sincere. I had the miso ramen today with veggies only - the broth was so yummy.

a plate of chicken and vegetables

so found myself driving from vernon to osoyoos and our group thought why not stop in kelowna for a quick lunch before the 2.5 road trip.... found this place via yelp and saw it was open sundays.... food prices are similar to vancouver and so was the quantity....however, food quality fell short a little bit. had the beef teri bento...sauce was overly sweeter, the beef was a hit and miss. some were tough some were tender....the bento was great as it came with a few things including prawn tempura...but sadly no miso soup.. i personally had the salmon teri bento and was surprised to get a big piece of salmon which was cooked perfectly! the sauce was just right and didn't smother the fish and rice. lastly, had the chicken katsu! huge serving and friend perfectly, but the chicken was not seasoned well. parts of it were bland. a bit of sauce was provided on the side though. came served on a sizzling plate with bean sprouts...good touch! would i repeat? absolutely! considering the location, the price vs value vs quality cant be beat!! happy eating!

Been coming here for over 10 years!! Same menu! Literally!! Same price!! Above average authentic Japanese at a very reasonable price! Great service and the food arrived quickly. Where else can you get a bento box like this for $13 these days?!?!

This is the best, most fresh, sushi I have had in Kelowna. Delicious and modestly priced. Also, it has a very authentic atmosphere.

Absolutely adore this ramen place! I typically opt for…read morevegan/vegetarian broths, and honestly... I was blown away by both of their options. Their vegetarian broth is so yummy, and so full of flavour, I absolutely could not get enough. Their vegan ramen has marinated tofu chunks, and they're so delicious-- they complement the broth and the noodles very well. I did try some of their non-veg ramen, and they were also just as good. So far I have tried the following ramen: Beef chili lime ramen-- you wouldn't really think it, but tomato went really well with this bowl of ramen. I don't know what it was, but it added a spritz of acidity and freshness and I really appreciated that. Tantan-men-- Personally, I don't eat pork, but I really wanted to try this bowl of ramen. When I dropped by Wasabi for the very first time, this was the ramen I tried, and I remember asking the waitress if I could modify it and I remember her saying that she was more than happy to. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the sub was, but I do remember that I was very much satisfied. Vegetarian ramen-- creamy, hearty, yummy! It was not bland at ALL! I am so utterly impressed with this place, because even ramen eateries in Downtown Vancouver seem to not be able to grasp how to make delicious and flavourful veggie ramen! 10/10 Vegan ramen-- this is my usual order tbh, because it comes with marinated tofu bits, and they are to die for. It's such a simple little thing, but to me it completely elevates the dish and makes it that much more yummy. Ebi wonton-- OKAY so this one... also amazing! I wish it had more dumplings, but that's just because I am a unfillable void, I guess. Spicy Yuzu-- great for cold, wintry days. This is my go-to during cold Kelowna winters, and during Term 1 final weeks because I can feel my immune system slowly tanking and I must clear my sinuses ASAP. Overall, I adore this place (if you couldn't tell already). I'm seeing a lot of people complain about the service here, but I have never had a problem. The servers are always so kind and accommodating, I don't see that being an issue at all. I do see, however, a lot of entitled rich families come to this place, thinking they can order people around and expect everyone to say yes to their every whim-- sorry but that's not how it works! Just treat people how you want to be treated, and be considerate! This place gets busy, and the servers are working hard.

If you come here you should get their karaage chicken ramen or the death by chicken karaage. The…read moredeath by chicken karaage has a nice flavor kick to it. It is not spicy at all. The chicken was nice and crispy. The noodle was tasty. Do not order the Ebi Wonton ramen. I went back the second time and got that and I was disappointed. It reminded me of Chinese Wonton soup. Note that their chicken and pork chashu is not made using the authentic way. They do not use pork belly for the chashu. It is not the one you typically get at ramen from bigger cities or Japan. The chicken is basically regular seasoned chicken breast and the chashu is basically pork shoulder. The one I am used to is where they take the pork belly, season it and then roll it up. It is not the case here. The noodle was tasty but not wow and you can tell that it was freshly made in house. Broth was ok. But hey this is the only ramen place in Kelowna (2023) at the moment. Inside is ran by Japanese people. Chicken Karaage ramen 3.5 stars Ebi Wonton Ramen 1.5 stars Death by Chicken Karaage 4 stars. I am giving this place 4 stars because it is located in Kelowna. If this restaurant was located down in the coast (Vancouver) or any big city than I would give it 2 stars. Also I do find that the quality of food was not very consistent. I went back the second time and it was not as good as the first time. Service was ok. Note that Parking is free after 6 pm.
