Came here on a Sunday after a day at Gyro beach which is across the street. We had booked ahead for rez at 630p. When we arrived it was not too busy. Menu had assortment of sushi, sashimi, noodles, and rice. We ordered salmon sashimi, dynamite roll, rainbow roll, california roll, 2 tonkotsu ramen, and squid karaage. Overall, the food was good. The best was the salmon sashimi - tasted fresh and melts in your mouth. Everything else was average. We also ordered some bubble teas (taro, lemonade passion fruit, and brown sugar) which were pretty good. Service was friendly but a little slow. Looks like they are very popular with takeout as we saw quite a few people walk in during our visit. read more

Just returned from llinner (late lunch/dinner) at Seki's and felt a need to review. The service was good and the food was amazing. Cold sapporro beer with chilled mugs Tempura shrimp HOT, crispy and delish Spicy Beef Bulgoki was ammazing. Apparently under new ownership, it will be easy to support this restaurant read more

Very nice and attentive staff. I have only eaten at three sushi restaurants in Kelowna so far. I may give it another chance since the dishes I tried were fairly basic, but it wasn't as good as the other two. read more

This reminds me of a place in Richmond BC that served a mixture of Vietnamese and Japanese food. Our waitress was a nice Vietnamese lady. Very polite and quick to serve with a smile. One of the few places that serves decent sushi and other Japanese dishes! We were surprised. I'd say it would rate a 4-5 star for Japanese food in this part of Kelowna, considering the ratings we got from other places. Most of the sushi restaurant ratings seemed to come from tourists or fake ratings from friends. This place I can say is worth while to try and have solid food. Remember, Japanese food isn't just sushi. Try something off the beaten menu and learn something new about this cuisine. Yay! I'm a fan of Seki Noodle House. We're from Calgary, on holidays. We found this place last summer and loved it... so we came back this summer. We love sushi, we've eaten our weight in one year... LOL... so we feel we're land locked authorities of this delisious food. First, the rice. The rice sticks like the rice should. The assortment of Nigiri sushi is quite good and the portion sizes are very reasonable for the price paid. The taste and quality, I believe, is quite good. I'm a big fan of their Rainbow Roll and Tiger Roll. So much so that I ordered them both three nights in a row. LOL Yes, my wife and I went three nights in a row... on the third night we brought our kids. They really enjoyed the salmon avacado roll. The service is a bit slow and rather laid back... that's okay we're on holidays. Tonight they forget to bring the soy sause to our table... that's okay, I just got up and grabbed a bottle from a table where guests had just left. Tonight the server brought us water but didn't take a drink order... that's okay, I'm watching my weight. All that said the restaurant is quite cozy, there's a sunny sidewalk patio if you prefer and in spite of a little forgetfulness the staff are quite kind and curtious. A wonderful place, great quality sushi, in a great part of Kelowna... we'll definitely be back next summer! read more

My first time out for sushi in Kelowna and this place was convenient and quite good. The staff and service was great even when we got there and it was very busy. I was very skeptical of Japanese food and Vietnamese food served in one restaurant. We ordered salad rolls because we were very hungry and they were nothing special, could have used a bit of something, all it consisted of was halved shrimp, lettuce, sprouts. Kind of bland. The sushi was okay, made the mistake of ordering a sushi combo plate and everything wS covered in a spicy sauce so we couldn't differentiate what was what. The seafood roll was yummy. I would def give this place another chance. read more

So to start I just want to say I went in and ordered for takeout, so this review is not a reflection so much of the service, staff, and environment, all of which were very nice and comfortable. This review is mainly about how my Tonkotsu Ramen (Bbq Pork ramen) tasted and the little extra things that the Ozeki staff did. After ordering I sat and waited at the sushi bar and got comfortable on my phone. She told me it may be a ten minute wait but it seemed more like 6 before I had my takeout and left with a thank you and goodbye. I wanted to get home quick because I didn't want my supper to turn into a congealed blob of no thank you. When I got home I opened my takeout and realized they had thoughtfully arranged everything so that wouldn't happen! The ramen noodles, pork and egg were all put in a separate box and the broth, veggies and tofu in the soup container. So I put the goodies into my broth and excitedly started to eat (my first time having ramen from there). The Bbq pork was tasty and had a nice saltiness to it. The noodles were ok, just a step above or around the same as some of the better instant noodles you can buy at the grocery store. The broth was ok as well, but nothing special. And the Tofu was fine. So all in all my final thought would be, I would probably not order this again, but it's ok. I would however like to go and have a sit down meal and try some other menu items sometime soon! read more
