Unfortunately the wonton soup here was ok, quite average. But if Vernon doesn't have much choices in wonton soup, it is ok to order but just don't expect to be wowed. Besides wonton, there are shrimps and veggies (broccoli and carrots). We also ordered the house spring rolls to share. It was not as crispy as I would like as I found it a bit hard to bite through the roll. My friend had his usual item of the grilled pork patty, shrimps and spring rolls on rice vermicelli (#48). Here's what I can say, subjectively, about this restaurant: It's making staying in Kamloops a much more bearable experience, in culinary terms. Their signature lemongrass dish is absolutely scrumptious, and the five or six times my partner and I have ordered it, it's never come out as anything except delicious. Another item of note is their agedashi tofu: Normally this is a Japanese dish, served in a light broth with grated daikon and scallions, but Lemongrass's uses a rich, complex broth with strong pepper and anise flavors. If you're going to have an appetizer, make it this one. I also like their pho well enough, but (at the risk of editorializing) all pho ever is is a type of noodle soup, in the same grand category as ramen or even chicken noodle soup. Us North Americans seem to go through phrases where we get super-obsessed with a standard dish from another country and try to invent all these layers of authentic excellence... but soup's soup, and theirs checks the boxes for a filling, warming, comforting noodle dish.
