The ambience is warm and cozy with booth seating that makes it a nice spot to settle in for a relaxed meal and it has a simple laid back vibe that works well for both quick lunches and casual dinners. The service was friendly, warm, and attentive which made the visit even more enjoyable. I really liked their pho selection and tried the tofu and vegetable pho which comes in either beef or chicken broth. The flavor was well balanced and comforting and I enjoyed the overall preparation. It was a satisfying and pleasant dining experience overall.

Wanted to try an authentic Pho restaurant. Came here and…read moretried their Triple A beef sate pho as I wanted a spicy kick to my soup instead of the waygu rare beef pho. The beef was amazingly tender and delicious. Unfortunately, the over seasoned, salty soup base overpowered the sate flavoring. Also, even though the lemon grass is not meant to be eaten, you're constantly picking it out of the soup. The large carrot chunks are interesting. I've only experienced that in stews, not pho. Most importantly, the noodles seemed to be cut into small pieces which stuck together in clumps, which I have never seen before. We brought this to the attention of the servers, and they mentioned that the supplier of the noodles didn't seem to get right. Apparently, after pouring the pho, the noodles separated, is what they mentioned. The service was fairly good and the servers were quite friendly. The ambiance of the place included a brightly lit restaurant and the music is constant techno-pop which drove me nutZ. I felt like all that was missing was molly...from what I hear ;)

Pho lovers and wagyu beef lovers, listen up! You will get both in a hearty warm bowl here. The…read morebroth was also from wagyu beef. I gotta say that the broth was the most phenomenal! The rich and clear broth had multiple layers of flavours with some underlying sweetness. You would want to continue to drink it. As I didn't feel thirsty due to MSG, I would recommend it more. The flavour was a solid 5-star for this small size of Pho House Special. The value was a 3-star though. Overall is a 3.5-star. For 20 bucks I got one thin piece of rare wagyu beef, one thin piece of beef flank, 3 pieces of one third of beef ball, and 4 to 5 very thin pieces of tripe. The amount of pho noodles were adequate for a size small. The texture of the pho was a tad less al dente than my liking, but it was still good, not too soft. At the end, I thought something was missing, but I didn't pay too much of an attention. A few hours later, I checked the menu again. Tendon it is! There was zero tendon in my bowl. Perhaps the chef forgot about it during a standard lunch hour. The dining room was about 70% full at the time. I would go again to try other dishes if I happen to be in the area again on a business trip. They serve sushi as well. Their appetizers looked good, too. It's an interesting Vietnamese/Japanese restaurant. The servers were nice. The service was fast. Parking was super easy in the outdoor mall parking lot.

We ordered the following: 4 Colour Combo ($18), Spicy Hue Soup ($16.50) and Beef Stew ($16). 4 Colour Combo had a nice presentation, meat toppings were small with lots of noodles. Spicy Hue was rather sweet. Noodles didn't have elasticity and it was thin noodles not the thick udon noodles. Beef Stew tasted pretty good, but again thin fragile noodles. Not so generous on meat toppings either. I found food to be expensive for what you get. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are better places in Vancouver with better noodles and generous amount of meat for the price.
