a bowl of ramen with meat and noodles

This is good ramen, probably the best for Kelowna. Food truck style but there is seating inside Barn Owl. Great way to spend an hour, grab some ramen and some beer. Would come back. Check their instagram for their hours, but usually Fri-Sun at Barn Owl.

The best ramen in town. We eat here a few times a month! Can't wait. Red is the very best!

Review Highlights - Little Tokyo Ramen

Since I can't go to Vancouver or Japan every time I crave ramen, this is the best place in Kelowna to get your authentic ramen.

Sushi Kojo - Red spicy ramen (delicious, quite spicy)

What a surprise find in Penticton!! A Japanese-run ramen shop!!…read more The menu was contemporary and creative. It even offered a creamy vegan ramen which was AMAZING! It's one of the best ramen broths I've ever had! I'll admit it was a little strange to see cilantro in top of ramen, but it worked. There was also shredded cabbage, negi/leeks, carrots and smoky tofu. The soup was super decadent and creamy with a deep shiitake flavor. I don't know how they got this broth so good but I was sure not to let it go to waste. I finished as much of it as I could. The bf ordered the KOJO Chicken Ramen. The chicken was tender and lightly grilled on the outside for extra umami. There was a nice balance of veggies and the egg was a bit overdone for a ramen egg but was fine for his preferences. We also shared the veggie roll. It was pretty simple and tasted as you would expect. Call it blasphemy but I loved the ramen broth so much I dipped the sushi in the broth instead of shoyu. I stand by my decision. If you live in Penticton, I hope you become a regular here. If you're visiting, you definitely need to reserve a meal here. The food is top notch!

Another surprisingly cold day in Kelowna for us and after a quick trip up to Myra Canyon in our…read moreshorts and t-shirts, we were desperate for some warmth. We browsed through Google search for some hot soupy meals and came across TZone. You can never go wrong with ramen on a cold rainy day. I ordered the Ebi Mayo and a BBQ pork ramen because you have to have a classic tonkotsu when comparing ramen places and that was the closest I could get. Plus I love BBQ pork. The Ebis were surprisingly big and perfectly fried but I just remembered they were using Tiger shrimp so that makes sense I like the crispiness of the batter without it being oily at all. The mayo was quite spicy sooooo if you can't take spice I would ask for the sauce on the side. 5/5 The BBQ PORK RAMEN had chunks of BBQ pork instead of the classic thin slices of pork belly. I liked it for the slight char on the outside a and the tenderness of the pork on the inside. They managed to make it still melt in your mouth tender. Soup base was pretty solid with no MSG but it was with chicken broth! Ramen noodles were standard and cooked to al dente. 4/5 My friends ordered the chi-Ku-wa-crispy Japanese rolled fish cake with cream cheese inside and garlic mayo sauce. It was yummy with the spring of the fish cake and the creaminess of the cheese. I don't usually go to Asian restaurants when visiting Kelowna but this will now be our backup plan whenever we are craving some soupy noodles

So, this place is like a bar and bistro with a full menu. We came to eat and was one of the first…read moreones but by 7 there were many more people. Not loud or rowdy at all, and felt more like a restaurant than a bar honestly. I'm writing this review because it's spring and this ski resort is mostly empty, and a ski resort in the middle of the Okanagan is not where I would have expected to find a ramen menu in a bar-bistro. Yet they reassured me the chefs were trained properly. So I decided to be brave and give this place a chance. I was pretty glad I was open minded. Myself and 2 of my kids had ramen. One had chicken broth which was not bad. Mine was a miso and mushroom garlic / "black oil" broth. I added egg and roasted pork belly. My summary is - I'm satisfied with this ramen. It's pretty good considering where it is. It's not the same as Vancouver ramen but it's still good in its own right and I would have it again. Pork belly - this was EXCELLENT. Crispy and full of flavour. Wow. Egg - decent ramen - thick, it was ok. Doesn't stand out but good enough. Broth - it's thick. It's not miso. It's not tonkatsu either. It's kinda like curry but not spicy. I mean curry like in consistency. However it's interesting enough. Stuff - bamboo. Green onions, though cut kinda funny. Anyways, give this place a chance. The burger according to my burger fan daughter was really good, and my wife's winter vegetable torte was really good too.

We sat for 20 minutes with no service . Keep in mind the place was nearly empty . There were only 3 other tables with people . There were 4 servers just walking around and socializing at the bar . We got tired of waiting at the table so I went to the bar where the service was equally poor service . I ordered 2 salads and instead they brought 2 drinks even after he repeated our order . The wait staff seemed more into themselves and socializing with one another over serving customers . Once they do take your order they go right back to ignoring you . Took 4 times asking to actually get water. I don't often write reviews , I hope they improve their service because the food is worth it . We don't care about the low cut shirts and hiked up skirts on the waitresses , just provide good service please
