The worst came in Friday was there for two hours bought a watch for my son they said they could t do it due to it being a different account. We changed my login called customer service finally got the watch and I confirmed that it was activated once turned on they said yes. Went home doesn't work spent an hour on phone with 611 they could fix it engineer called me needed to be activated on purchase for that line which the store did not do. It worked for a day and now doesn't work again been through a mess. Should have never stopped in here. Staff are nice but I don't think they know what they are doing. read more

Something has changed finally, after all these years . I get 125MBps down and 1.0 MBps up inside the building in Newbury Park, just off Hillcrest blvd. A few dead spots around Rancho Conejo exit of 101 and alone Hillcrest are still there , and I consistently lose connection when I drive there. But at least they are doing something. read more

The service at the T-Mobile store was very good a 4 star at least. I was switched over to the "senior" plan with the able assistance of Chris. However, if you want poor reception or bad cellular service....T Mobile is your go to provider. If you live in Newbury Park, you will not be able to access the cellular towers. It took 5 telephone calls of 2 hours total to determine that. EVERYONE at T-Mobile, from their cellular engineers to sales folks knows their service in Newbury Park sucks. Their coverage map that says 4G LTE service is available. It is fake (a lie). Data rates outside in front of our residence are less than 0.4Mbs and the network is so unstable the phone is unable to connect to the internet. Unbelievable experience. I dealt with two of the "kids" working there. Seemingly friendly. Extremely immature. Talking about "let's get lit tonight!" Completely unprofessional. Inappropriate language for a business. These guys both lied straight to my face regarding two things: 1. They told me I i could add an iPad to my plan and pay no other fees than about $4 per month. I specifically asked them both if I had to pay for the service, they said no because it's on special. "$4 per month, nothing more", they said. Of course I found out they lied and there was also a $30 per month for the service. Let me make something very clear: this was no misunderstanding. DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORDS. 2. They told me I had to pay tax up front on my LEASED phone upgrade. They said they could waive the tax and apply it to an accessory. This was a couple hour ordeal and this shady tactic was reiterated to me with a straight face over and over. I didn't want any accessories. Finally i said ok I'll take this Bluetooth speaker. I didn't catch this part until I got home that evening.... on a leased device, you pay taxes every month with your lease payment. So essentially they made me buy a speaker I didn't want because it was supposedly "free". This store needs to be shut down. They are not a Sprint corporate store. These kids need to be fired. It's one thing to be persuaded by a clever salesperson. It's another thing altogether to be ripped off by a salesperson with a smile in their face. Luckily, I was able to return both items at the Simi Valley store off of Cochran and Madera. The manager there is sincere and genuine and you can tell he runs a good branch. I will never go to another store. The Simi location is a corporate store. If I could give this Newbury Park store negative stars, I would, because they don't deserve any. Honestly just SO SO BAD... it's one of those things that happen to you where you feel violated. They are the epitome of sleepy salespeople. My wife sent me to this store instead of our usual corporate store in TO because they happened to have the right color for my new phone. The salesperson offered me a "free" tracker to go with the phone, insisting it would entail no costs to me "because you are such a great customer." Having been a Sprint customer for 22 years, I assumed he was telling the truth. When I got home and checked my bill, saw that not only would the tracker cost me $2.50 a month in lease charges, it would entail another $10 month service for a phone number dedicated to the tracker! When I went back the next day to return the tracker, the clerk told me I was good to go. When I asked for a receipt for the return, he said it wasn't necessary as he had already logged in the return. Two weeks later I went online and saw they had added these charges to my bill. Went on chat with Sprint who insisted I would have to return the tracker before they can remove the charges. The next day, they had also added a $57.50 charge for the cost of the tracker! So had to spend more time calling the Newbury Park store. When I finally had my call answered, the clerk said "The returns don't show up until the next billing cycle. I will let you know if there's a problem." Naturally I am not happy about paying my inflated bill later this month, then having to take my chances waiting another month to see if all those charges will be reversed back and removed from future bills. So looks like I will actually have to go back into the store to hash this out. This is an independently operated franchise store. That explains why they are willing to play fast-and-loose with their promises and charges. My wife, who went into our usual corporate store in TO, did actually get a free tracker with no charges tacked on. So there are differences in how franchise stores do business and what offers they can pass on. Would recommend avoiding this store if at all possible. read more

Our experience at the Newbury Park Corporate store was fantastic! We came to the store needing help with trading in our Iphone 6's as part of a Sprint upgrade promotion. We tried initially trading in on-line, but the website didn't have an Iphone 6 trade-in option available even though the posted promotional materials clearly included Iphone 6 . We wasted HOURS of time on the phone getting bounced around between multiple Sprint service reps who were either unable or unwilling to help. We also stopped in at an independently owned T-Mobile store whose employees and manager weren't even aware of that promotion. Ian and Chris were exceptionally helpful, took the time to actually investigate the problem, and when they discovered that the problem was actually with the Sprint promotion software, identified a way to work around it (it was involved enough to require them to spend a couple of hours) and ultimately successfully managed to help us. Our problem was resolved to our satisfaction and thanks to them, we decided to stay with T-Mobile rather than switch to AT&T or Verizon. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I brought my grandson in to upgrade his phone because he had damaged it. Instead of Daniel the salesperson looking at the phone first to see what issues we might have to deal with. He had my grandson pay off the balance of the phone. He first said it would be the 200.00 balance plus tax. And then the upgraded phone would be another 100.00 to 150.00. But this is when it gets shady so he has him pay the account off 218.00 first. Then takes the SIM card out of the phone and said because it's still has the find my phone activated he would have to take his phone to the Apple store to do this and could not help him with a new phone. Ok I say so just refund the cash payment we had just made. And we will proceed to the apple store when we can. No we cannot reverse this transaction you will have to call this number to do this. Let me talk to the manager so Edwin comes over explains the same thing except this time I ask him who his Manager is and he says Sprint that's it no one else... really so I call Sprint they say no they should have reversed the transaction there in the store and indeed provided me a name of a district manager I can speak to. Can't wait for that phone call. They will become aware of what BS is going on in this store! read more

Still paying for screen protector and the case of all my family I-phone (They never told me it was a leasing). The promotion of service for $100 on the 3 I-phone the sold me never happens I started paying 240 monthly and after complaining they only reduced to $160 (they come up with funny fees). Since writing my review 3 days ago, we are completely in shock. After being PROMISED once again that we would be credited for the mistake and a return envelope would be sent to us to return the tablets, we actually did get the return envelope today. BUT when we called to check on the credit promised to us to zero out our balance, we were blown away that is now shows we owe $704.92!!!! And it is due this Tuesday???????????? We just found out the $700 is CANCELLATION FEES on the tablets that were supposed to be free to begin with! This is the most asinine customer service situation I have ever experienced in my life. We just spent another 90 minutes on the phone with NO RESOLUTION. I wanted to jump through the phone and beat the crap out of these people. They made both of us so frustrated and mad that our blood was boiling!! See my previous review, but anyone even considering a Sprint account really needs to rethink their plans with this absolutely horrible company. I've had an unfortunate experience with this Sprint store that I would hope would be beneficial for others to hear as it could hopeful save someone from similar aggravation. I switched to Sprint from AT&T for the promotional offer of gift cards and credits towards upgraded devices and to save money on the ongoing bills. I asked The store associate and the manager here what would happen if I received poor service where I lived. They reassured me with the 30 day money back guarantee for trying out the service and we proceeded with the switch. I was spare the details but I also ended up with a fourth line for a hotspot I never even asked for and then also had to temporarily lease an iPhone 6+ while we had to wait a few days for my AT&T iPhone to unlock. Low and behold, I had horrible service at my house. I also received poor service in general just driving around the county. I was unfortunately surprised to learn that I couldn't access data while on the phone as well. So if I was on a call I couldn't look up directions or in some cases my directions would stop working and I would have to juggle between hanging up and resetting directions. I also received a bill for $317. when I was told my plan would be approximately $140/mo. Ok, well at least there is the option to return everything, right? No harm, no foul, it wasn't a good fit for me so I've decided to switch to T-Mobile as AT&T is getting too expensive. Had great service for a week with T-Mobile and went to return my devices to Sprint. When I called the store I asked if there was a time limit to returning to make sure I wouldn't be charged anything for having the devices too long. I was told within two weeks at any Sprint store and I would be fine. I brought it back before the two week window to a store nearby and they said I have to go to a corporate store. Then the corporate store said I have to go to the original store which happens to be far from my house. I drove over there and was told only the manager can handle and he wouldn't be in until the following day. The following day I returned everything to the manager and was expecting to receive my credit of $254.03 for all the down payments and taxes from the original purchase. Instead I was told I owed restocking fees of $236 and that there was no way to avoid it. I called customer care right there and asked about this and he initially said the same thing but when I asked if he concurred that this is false advertising he consulted a manager who read the policy showing that there should be no restocking fees. Unfortunately the manager at the store said that he was unable to give me my credit and was unable to waive the restocking fees even though corporate was right there saying that I shouldn't be charged. Once I had verbal confirmation from corporate that they had applied a credit for the $236 restocking fees and got off the phone with them. We proceeded to return everything. I was charged for the restocking fee. I asked him to confirm the credit once the account was closed and he said he was unable but that if I called back to customer care it would show. I called back to customer care and after holding I was told that the current balance owed is almost $700. So that's where I stand as of now. I'm out of pocket $500 and currently "owe" an additional $700 in 2 weeks. I was also told by AT&T that the way they advised me to end my plan with them will result in another $150 in charges that will not not be recovered. I'm also out about 20 hours of productive time that was instead wasted on all of this. Corporate is supposed to process a refund for me within 45 days. I'm *really* hoping that this gets resolved and that in the end I am reimbursed. Based on the current trajectory of communication, I'm highly suspicious. So that's my experience. I don't think I've colored this unfairly. If you still decide to switch to Sprint here is he advice I would offer you: - don't lease or finance a device. Seems like a lot of the issues are from this. - make sure your current device is already unlocked before starting the process - be cautious for decision fatigue. When a process takes multiple hours in a monotonous stationary environment like this it's very easy to walk away with more lines/devices that intended. I understand that any company should try to up-sell to meet quotas but just be aware of what's happening. - be ready to take a hit in your credit for a check - be ready to float some potentially major expenses in the case you do need to cancel service and return everything. I TRULY HOPE I CAN PROVIDE AN UPDATE SOON SAYING THAT ALL WAS RESOLVED AND I WAS FULLY REIMBURSED. TIME WILL TELL. Please note I'm criticism is of the local store itself, not its staff. read more
