Leo put me on a family plan when all I needed was a phone upgrade. Horrible sales rep with no valuable skills or willingness to help customers, and ones like myself that have been with T Mobile for 4 years now. He put me on a family plan telling me it would be the same price as my previous monthly bill. Though I looked at my account and saw I'd be paying $100 more a month for the next two years. He's a really great salesman, super manipulative, and always asking "know what I mean?" when you wouldn't know what he means. He added 4 random lines to my plan! He told me my upgrade came with free AirTags but I ended up paying for them. I don't want to activate them because I feel like he's going to secretly charge me for some kind of subscription. People like Leo are the ones you need to watch out for. They will rob you. This is the first time I've been to this location and it was the worst experience I've ever had. Extremely poor customer service at this location. I went on a slow Friday morning around 10:30 am yesterday. My experience started first walking in without being acknowledged or greeted. Mind you there were only 4 people in the store besides me, two workers and two customers. A quick hello could've done the trick, whatever I let it slide. I then proceed to wait for 20 minutes, still not one employee has said a word to me. Another customer walks in and they greet her by name and very welcoming, I walked right out. My issue is, since when do we pick and choose who we provide decent customer service to? I was there just to get a screen protector changed that could've taken a few minutes. I have now been with TMobile for about six months although my previous carrier was a Ting which rides on top of the TMobile net work for GSM. I would write their customer service as five star but their net work as four-star which is the rating I gave overall as net work is key. Absolutely worst customer service I have ever had in any retail store. It was a simple my phone won't turn on, I need a replacement. Phone was already picked out by doing online shopping, I just needed activation and my sim card switched. When I arrived at the store the sales clerk was sitting on 1 of 2 chairs outside, talking to his coworker while a tablet rested on the leg of the empty seat. When we asked if the store was open, since he was blocking the doors, he said yes. He walked inside ahead of us and we explained we needed a new phone. He literally told my 75 year old dad "shhhh, I'm talking," told us we were lying, and said "bye, get out" among dozens of other rude things. I would give the Almaden Plaza store ZERO STARS if I could. After receiving several notifications from T-Mobile regarding a free upgrade to a 5G cell phone, I called this store to ensure they had the specified phone. Kanwall answered the phone, but proceeded to carry on with a parallel conversation at the store. I had to repeat myself at least three times, because he was clearly not listening to me. When I asked if he was talking to me or somebody else, he told me that I would need to physically come to the store so he could check my account and answer my questions. He also identified himself as the store manager in a self-important manner, as if that excused his rudeness. Since the other two T-Mobile stores closest to me did not have the phone in stock, I drove to this store. When I came to the store, Kanwall told me that, in order to upgrade my phone, I would need to switch to a plan that would increase my monthly payments by $35/mo. I showed him the notifications from T-Mobile, which did not mention any need to upgrade my plan. He could not care less. After leaving the store without solving the problem, I contacted T-Mobile Customer Service and Achilles added a notification to my account indicating that the upgrade did not require me to change my current plan. I contacted the Almaden Plaza store, and since Kanwall was gone for the day, I spoke with Rebecca. I explained that I had come to the store earlier to upgrade my phone, and Kanwall refused to do so without selling me a plan upgrade, but T-Mobile Customer Service had added a notification to my account that an upgrade to my plan was not required in order to get the new phone (as a switch deal for my old phone). Rebecca then told me that Kanwall made the rules at HIS store. Apparently, the Almaden Plaza T-Mobile store is franchise-owned by a rude and self-important person, who cares little about honoring T-Mobile's promotions/plans. The good thing about this bad experience, is that I now know that the best way to get top-notch customer experience at T-Mobile is by going to a Corporate store (which is owned by T-Mobile), not a franchise store. After my bad experience at the Almaden Plaza T-Mobile franchise store, I went to the T-Mobile corporate store at Oakridge Mall. Soon enough, I was leaving the store with my new 5G phone, free of charge, while keeping my current plan. Ed also made the phone transition seamless, by transferring all the data from my old phone to the new one. What a difference! I take this opportunity to give a shoutout to T-Mobile's excellent customer service, in particular Achilles, and their 5-star 3G phaseout plan, which is helping people who cannot currently afford to upgrade their cell phone to 5G. I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer for over 7 years now, and greatly appreciate how they value my business, even though I do not have an expensive plan. Here is to another 7 years! read more

I'm T-Mobile customer more than 6 years . 4 weeks ago I and my husband walked to this store to trade in our phones. We purchased 2 apple 12 pro . They had not have any in stock and they ordered. 2 weeks later phones arrived. From this moment problem started. My old phone had great memory and new phone only had 125 (if you want better memory you have to directly shop at apple). I asked them to help me for transfer and active my phone. John John helped me. He open iCloud and asked me to pay for extra. Then he could not transfer he had problems and told go home and use your WiFi. I did and end up with problem. I went back to store and asked for help John John ignored me and when I asked him several times for help. Very rude way when he was watching football he told me he is there just to sell phone not deal with other problems .... the other two employees were not friendly too ... now after only two weeks my husband phone for no reason got frizz and is not working at all . He went to same store and he got same response. They are there to just sell. Apple should go down with bad quality and bad customer service. T-Mobile should be embarrassed to have this kind of employee in their team. For sure I will close my family account with T-Mobile soon and my next device will not be apple. So I'm reading through some of the other reviews here, seems like either love or hate, 1 star or 5 star with most tmo locations. Last night, the TMO at the Westfield Mall Oakridge tried to unnecessarily tack on an extra "Upgrade Charge" of $25 for simply moving my daughters SIM card to her new phone. Disgusted I walked out, wrote a bad review, and sent a link of the review off to their corporate overlords. I was ready to start shopping for a new carrier, but I'm glad I gave this store down the street a shot. There I met up with Robert (We have the same name dude!) I explained my terrible experience down the street, and he did everything he could to make the experience with him better. Working with him felt more like talking to a buddy, and less like a sleazy car salesman. He took his time explaining what my new charges would be for adding my sons line and upgrading my plan. Not only that, but a few nights earlier when I visited, he turned me on to how I can get a %15 discount on my plan through my employer (which I signed up for today) We upgraded my plan to the 1 plan, added a line, and because he was not trying to oversell me, I decided this guy earned a bonus. My wife has been wanting to upgrade her iPhone 5 for a while now, so again, Robert came to my rescue and turned me onto another great deal. With 0% financing, I could upgrade my wife to a iPhone 7 for 1/2 the price. I couldn't refuse. Now everyone in my family is happy. Kids have some decent phones that I wish I would have bought from Robert, but that's OK. Wife has her phone, our new plan has enough data where we don't have to sweat the kids watching videos, I'm getting a discount on my pre-existing netflix account (TMO covers the difference between a basic and a pre-existing ultra plan) and we're all set to play some Pokemon Go together. I'm probably not going to sway those that had a bad experience here, but let's say you had a bad one down the street at the mall, you should give these guys a try. After threatening to get an attorney, he finally sent it back, Three months later. I don't know if it's this branch or what. Went to transfer from att to T-Mobile. The lady Rebecca was nice enough and helped with the transfer. Then brought out a couple of devices, a car device and a tracking device asking me to choose one and that they were free for new clients. I chose the tracker. She did not even mention the cost associated with it. It was $18.99. To me that's false advertising. I went back to return it and talked to the manager, kanwal, he said it was the insurance on the device and he'll take it off. Well he did take the insurance off, but I'm still getting charged $10/month. I went back again, each time having to wait half an hour and more. Was told to come back since only the manager could authorize the return. Sheesh! Went back again today and the manager tells me it's over two weeks and they can't do any returns and they'll have to cancel the contract and charge me $92. All this time wasted and the run around for something I don't want or need. Not to mention the $10/month cost I'm stuck with for a device that has not even been opened and was supposedly FREE. So please ask questions if they say that something is for free, because they don't volunteer the associated cost. read more

Save yourself the headache and avoid this T-mobile store!! The sales person in there that helped me was a total and complete liar! We went in to get a phone for my child and he talked us into trying their internet (totally my fault for getting sucked into it). The sales guy told us that we could try it for 3 months at $25 a month and that if we were not happy we could just return it no problem. My husband asked multiple times how to return it and the guy said, "no problem just bring it back here to the store and we'll take it back no problem!" HA! What a lie!!! I'm thinking that he must have gotten some kind of incentive to get people signed up to their internet service. Anyhoo, we took it back home and set it up same day, but it didn't work!! We have to have it set in a window for it to even get a signal, and the signal only worked in that room! Horrible! So my husband went back to the store to return it and a different sales guy helped us as the previous one had already left for the day. This new guy said that they don't take back the internet box and they we would have to call customer service to set up a mail in return with them. So my husband came home and called and our account showed that we had been charged $75 all ready for the box and it took my husband 2 hours on the phone to get our money back and get this boxed returned to T-Mobile by mail. Let me just start off this review by saying this store is understaffed. I wanted to return a phone and there was one employee there and had to wait about 40 mins and at the end didn't get anything accomplished at all. He said his system wasn't working to return phone and that maybe it was a store issue or a Tmobile issue he suggested I open up a help desk ticket which keep in mind it can take weeks to get resolved or days meaning my 14 days would be up to return maybe even before it was resolved. I asked the representative helping us what I could do because I needed to get this resolved ASAP and he suggested I go to another store and I then asked him well what do you suggest I do drive around until I find a store to return it? His response and super snarky was yeah guess so... I was pretty upset but said thanks and walked out mind you I've worked in cellphones and actually for T-mobile before and he didn't even try to help just simply wasn't interested because it was a return. Long story short I went to the corporate location at oakridge mall and much better service with David go see him instead of these guys. Anyways I started chatting with him and he says oh they were just doing wrong process that's probably why he couldn't do return there is a different system you go through.
