T-Mobile itself is 5 stars to me, just not this experience. When something seems too good to be…read moretrue, it normally is-listen to your gut! Luckily, the customer service staff on Facebook (FB) straightened things out before it was too late. I would've rated this store a 5 a few days ago, but a lot has happened since... When I went to this store a few days ago I simply wanted to upgrade my phone, add a line, keep my current phone for my son and maybe add GBs as a buffer. I learned I couldn't upgrade with the current deal unless I traded my phone, so I bought a new phone at full price so I could keep my old one for my son and add the line. I knew I could add for $10 more. I told them this, we chatted about the $80 for 2 lines & 10GB plan (and adding a line) and they told me this was a no credit check plan (not sure why that matters); and the new T-Mobile One was the best and a 4th line & Netflix is free. They told me that everyone would gear me towards this plan and mine was no longer available. I was told I was grandfathered in a chat, but the staff here told me my plan was not the best. They could see we don't use our GB's now, so why move to unlimited data at a higher price with the "freebies"? Plus, I don't use Netflix, nor need a 4th line. Justin & Kevin were very friendly...seriously, and I thought they had my back. I wanted to leave to think about it (my gut instinct), but they convinced me it's the best, everyone was switching...it sounded good in theory, so I took the plunge {almost}. Somewhere in there I forgot they were salesmen. I believed in them, but something wasn't sitting right...I lost sleep over it. They stated $140 a month...then, if each line uses less than 2GB a month we'll get a $10 kick back on each line (sounded good), but if one line goes over then it would be the full amount. We already don't go over 2GB each and we're currently on the 2 lines @ $80...adding a line is $10 more @ $90 for 3 lines. I can't recall what they said to convince me the new plan was better, but clearly it's not. So what you get a 4th line free & Netflix...it's not what we need, nor is unlimited data. If we don't use crazy amounts, then why pay the big bucks? It's nice to have a buffer, but not at this price. But wait...there's more! It wouldn't have been $140 with a kick back. I learned today the kick back is not guaranteed. Our next bill would've been $180 for service alone. If I paid with auto pay (which I do) then it would have lowered the payment to $160. This is service only, not the equipment. Crazy! Huge difference between $160 vs. $90 for service only!!! But hey, I would have gotten a "free" 4th line and Netflix...yeah right...whatever! I ran the numbers today with Chelsea & Harley on FB. They rock!!! They really saved me from what could have been a horrible outcome. The T-Mobile One plan was supposed to take effect tomorrow. Chelsea didn't even need an explanation, she could clearly see this plan was not the best for me/us and fixed it. I feel like a total imbecile for putting my trust elsewhere other than my gut. I also paid $20 for a SIM card I'll never use, but if that new plan would've kicked in tomorrow I would have lost so much more money. And, once the T-Mobile One plan kicked in there would've been no going back (since they don't offer the Simple Plan anymore). I didn't know that until today either...Justin & Kevin never mentioned I couldn't go back. I could've been royally $@#^%^*! But hey, it's fixed now...whew! Justin helped me out with an insurance exchange on my phone. The refurbished replacement phone came in in a timely manner-woot! Yesterday we switched it out, we were half way home before we realized the SIM card wasn't in it and had to go back. Stuff happens, Laura was very apologetic and that was a simple error. But we were all the way home before we realized we didn't have a receipt in the bag...oh well. But wait, there's more. I learned today from Chelsea & Harley that the replacement phone no longer has insurance. I wanted to keep the phone for my son, but I didn't know I was going to lose the insurance on it. If I had known that I probably wouldn't have kept it and traded it in for the 50% off deal and got him a phone elsewhere. Not good. That was need-to-know information...oh well now-I've paid enough. I/we can only make decisions on what we are told. This was important. I have learned more lessons than I care to these past few days. I am smarter from it and I hope by sharing that I can help someone. Thank goodness I'm able to keep my Simple Plan! The T-Mobile One plan is a good plan for some, but not all and certainly not us. For those of you that receive a government discount under your current plan, you will lose it under the new T-Mobile One plan. Just weigh out everything before you take the plunge. As for this store...nice, but they should have listened to me more instead of what happened and been more forthcoming with information...customers depend on it.
