In short...go to another T-Mobile store. Stopping here is a waste of time and frustrating. For those of us that have been with T-Mobile a long time, you just don't have the customer service here and don't expect for them to do their job and/or the task that you get at other stores. Save yourself and go to another location. For those of you that may be new to T-Mobile...go to another store and don't let the staff at this location turn you off, give you wrong information, charge you for something your already paid for or whatever the case may be (walk away).
Upon arrival a few employees were sitting out front eating with the door wide open to the store. I thought it was odd and perhaps the power was out. The power wasn't out, they were just there eating lunch with the door to the store wide open. If you see the same thing...they are open. Masks are required in the store. In any case, I don't recommend this location...please read on.
A nice girl waited on me and sadly I don't know her name since she wasn't wearing a nametag...but she tried. I stopped in to get the protectors replaced on my phones since two were broken and one won't stay on. They were out of stock and the excuse I was given was because the new S21 was out. That doesn't have anything to do with anything. I told her it was ok...they could just ship them to me. She didn't know how to do it, so she inquired with her manager who was sitting out front eating. I was informed I couldn't get them replaced if they weren't in stock. Huh? This girl was trying and listening to her manager...so I asked her manager's name (Nakita {sp?}) so I could go speak with her myself. She informed me I would be charged for them because they had to input a credit card number. Huh? I said I had the insurance and she said they couldn't do it unless I was charged. I explained I've ran into my protectors not being in stock plenty and never had an issue with them being shipped to me for free. Heck, it was the T-Mobile staff that informed me I could do this from the start. She said she had never heard of that...really? I said it must be unique to this store. I personally wonder how you can be the manager and not know this? How many people have insurance like me that have had this same issue and ended up buying it? This is false information and simply not true...go to another store!!! Don't let yourself be ripped off. If I were new to T-Mobile I'd change carriers if I was being charged for something I already paid for with the insurance coverage just because something was out of stock. It's not right! In reality, I simply don't think the manager felt the need to do her job, help me and get it taken care of. So, I said we'd go to another store...and I did. I went to the store on Old St Augustine Rd, and guess what? They took care of it and ordered the ones that weren't in stock just fine and they are being shipped to me for free because of said insurance. I told them what happened at the Durbin Pavilion store and they apologized on their behalf...but it wasn't their fault. Not to mention what should have taken a few minutes turned into a few hours since I had to go to another store, the drive, etc.
I had to return to Durbin Pavilion to do some other shopping. To my surprise, there are two T-Mobile stores in there...I did not know that. Why on earth are there two stores so close together? My advice, don't go to this one!
End note: I contacted T-Mobile directly to inform them of the discrepancy. read more
