We came early in the morning on a Sunday, so we didn't have to wait for someone to help us. Mo explained that during peak hours there can be long waits. Overall, a good and easy experience here!

Even if you're standing for 20 minutes, you are typically ignored until they have time for you. There was a woman there who was extremely abrasive. She cut me off frequently and answered all my questions in a very dry tone. I make a point to be expressive and give friendly gestures with retail conversations. I do this because so many service workers tend to be rude and nasty. Sometimes this works. But this woman remained stonefaced throughout our interaction. However, she was friendly with the woman before me, but only because she was talking about her daughter. Overall, the store could use some basic customer service training. Simple engaging friendliness goes a long way.

It was busier than I might've expected on a random Wednesday afternoon, with a few customers being helped as well as an staff member on a Zoom call, giving some kind of presentation to other employees. There was a whole segment about how to ask friendly questions to get in with customers to find out what needs Verizon could offer to address. I almost wanted him to finish the call and then casually ask me about my line of work. There was a short wait before someone was able to assist me (hence the eavesdropping, though to be fair, the call was conducted in the middle of the store). She was nice, helpful and patient. I am forty years old and not the primary account holder for my cell phone plan, so I had to call my husband at work to get the PIN. This was not an especially enjoyable errand, but the staff and store were pleasant enough, and I had a new working cell phone when I walked out the door. I'd come back if I needed something else from Verizon.

G*d D*mn these sociopathic companies that…read morejust keep rolling with awful service, despite our complaints, surveys, major active class-action lawsuits, their data breaches, deceptive fee structures, and past severe liability cases! Who tf do they think they are? Not only was my service spotty as all get-out, but customer service and response was slow and never resolved my connection and data speeds. It's infuriating to have no service and you have to wait till morning to communicate this to them - then wait days (a week) for anyone to come out and investigate. But they sure knew how to take my money every 30 days and lock it in a few days beforehand. For those interested, I switched to Starry a couple/few years ago and never looked back... or at least I've tried not to! These Spectrum %#$* continue to send me junk mail on the daily! and most of it is under the name of someone who hasn't lived here for six (6) years! STOP SENDING ME YOUR TRASH MAIL! I'M SICK OF SENDING IT BACK TO YOU WITH "NOT AT THIS ADDRESS." These sociopaths couldn't respect me when I paid them for years and put up with the slow, splotchy service, payment issues and almost non-existent (we give a sh*t) customer service; and, they can't respect me now, after years of cancelling them and now enjoying satisfied service with Starry: faster, cheaper, responsive (yes, their app is THE WORST, as is their stupid AI dog) And Starry bills me relatively on the same day each month, not every 30 days (like Spectrum) so the date continues to change. Thank goodness for CHOICE! I was a bit afraid of the Verizon takeover of Starry; but, so far, it hasn't been disruptive.

Apparently returning Spectrum equipment is a scavenger hunt now…read more I walked in carrying a pile of heavy equipment and did what generations of humans have been trained to do: I got in line. Crazy, I know. So there I am, standing behind several other people who had also made the radical decision to form a line, when I start noticing employees calling random names from around the store. People are wandering up from chairs, corners, and various mysterious locations like they've just won a raffle. After about 15 minutes, another customer finally informs us that you have to sign in when you arrive. Now here's the part that really impressed me: every employee in the store watched a group of us standing there holding heavy equipment for fifteen minutes and not a single person thought to mention this tiny little detail. Not one. It honestly felt like a social experiment. "Let's see how long these people stand here before they figure it out." The sign-in system itself isn't the problem. Plenty of places use one. The problem is watching customers clearly waiting for service and saying absolutely nothing. The good news is I eventually returned my equipment. The bad news is I now know more about human indifference than I did when I walked in.
