T-mobile along with many mobile phone companies such be investigated. They claim to give you unlimited services for talk text and data but your data is truly not unlimited. If the proper authorities looked into this they would find that these companies actually slow down your data services at a certain hour in each day. T mobile needs to do more to understand the limitations of those born before the computer age and make their services less complicated for people 60 and over. ONE STAR but ONLY because Yelp won't allow a ZERO star rating. Truth be told, if I could give negative stars, I would. This store is horrible, with horrible service. Before Christmas I went to T-Mobile in Hoboken to purchase a gift. Since it was a gift, I asked no less than twice whether the item was returnable. I was told twice that the store had a 30-day return policy. As it turns out, I did, in fact, need to return the item. I went back to the store within the 30-day return window, only to be told that the store had a 14-day return policy, which had now passed. I asked to speak to the manager. I reiterated my issue, to which he said there was nothing he could do. He asked who the sales rep was. I said that I didn't catch his name. However, his sales rep # was listed on the receipt, but the manager did nothing with that information either. Interestingly enough, the manager suggested that I "try" to return the item "at a different store." To which I replied, "why would I do that when I purchased it here?" He, of course, had no response, and simply turned his back to me. I requested to speak to his supervisor. He said no supervisors were there at that time. So, I requested the name and telephone number of his supervisor. He again refused and walked away. I would recommend that NO ONE EVER SHOP AT THIS STORE. read more

I walked in for an upgrade, and was greeted by a staff of flat-mannered, sarcastic individuals who were clearly burnt out and had no interest in providing any sort of service that the brand promises to deliver. When you set foot in here, prepare to be met by bureaucratic incompetence of no fault of the employees, but who are nonetheless defensive about their own inefficiencies. They make you call the corporate HQ for matters they should be able to handle on their own, and while you are doing their job for them, they are helping other customers who came in after you. read more

New T-Mobile customer here! Switched over from Verizon, and was happy to see that the reviews at this particular T-Mobile store were very positive. I went in this afternoon and was helped by the awesome Roy, who was professional and did everything to make the transition as smooth and painless as possible. He answered all of my questions and made sure that I was getting the best deal possible. He gave me his card and told me to bring in my last Verizon bill when it comes out so that he can make sure that everything is in proper order. Very satisfied with the service I received today, as well as the friendly service I received when I called T-Mobile's customer service last week. read more

I have been a long time T-Mobile customer, but normally communicate solely with Customer Care over the phone. I went into the store for an upgrade on my phone after having spoken with a store rep, Luis G., over the phone prior to coming into the Washington St location. Not only did he handle our phone conversation calmly and efficiently (while I could hear in the background how busy he was), he kept to his word of putting my upgrade phone aside since my current phone was about to die. When I arrived at the store, there were easily 4-5 people deep per work station. Typically, a service store would have an air of customers' impatience and annoyance, but as I was waiting for my turn, it was almost zen-like in there and all the customers were calm and.....happy. Weird, but cool! The manager, Eric, was aware that some of us were waiting for quite some time to be dealt with, and made it a priority to come from behind the desk and approach the customers letting them know that someone will be with them soon and apologized for the delay. There was another store rep as well who made it a point to look customers in the eyes and apologize for the delay. So nice to deal with a retail store that actually looks customers in the eyes and display genuine care and concern. When I finally did get my turn, it worked out so perfectly that I ended up interacting with Luis himself who was kind, patient and informative. You rock!!!! Great job guys and I will recommend friends to switch over to T-Mobile solely for the purpose of dealing with a great staff at the Hoboken store. I've been a customer here for about 9 years without problems (except for occasional lousy service) UNTIL today. I was told I had to pay a maintenance fee, in addition to the minutes I was buying (it's a pay as you go plan). When I asked the rep how this could be (never had to pay a maintenance fee before), he gave me a load of absolutely nonsensical BS and when I questioned this, his only answer was that he would call customer service for me (why?). I asked to speak to the manager, who was busy (of course), and so I left after waiting a few minutes. I just refilled my minutes over the phone--with no maintenance fee! WTF scam was he trying to pull?!? read more

I switched from AT &T to T- Mobile through one of their promotions in January, and I couldn't be happier. As an international traveler I am saving a bundle, and I appreciate knowing that my bill will be the same every month . No jaw dropping surprises of exorbitant roaming charges! The staff at this T-Mobile is friendly and knowledgable, and in particular, Betsey has been a stand out employee. She gently addresses my lacking technical skill set, and walks me through any situations that arise with my new phone. Always a warm greeting when entering the store, and I feel very pleased with the service I receive upon leaving. read more

I have had T Mobile business account since 2011. For the last 5-6 months the data service in Hoboken has been terrible - there is no connectivity/limited connectivity that is disruptive to our business. We ordered a hotspot, spending $70 per month for 14gb of LTE data - this is false advertising. The hotspot routinely provides dial-up speeds at best. We ordered a booster for the window, connected properly, getting full signal. The data speeds are still terrible.. there is simply no LTE data; it's false advertising and considering changing to Verizon. Very frustrating. read more

I just switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and I can't be more satisfied. The employees were fantastic walked me through every step of the process. It Didn't have that intimidating get ready for war feeling that AT&T and Verizon stores have! Also, the particular sales associate, Oscar was very insightful and addressed virtually every concern I had. I actually left with a $58 credit because they bought my old phone. no stars at all!!! be warned!! i am extremely careful with my personal information and i do not trust anyone so when i went to this place to purchase a new phone i brought a friend along whom came into the store a few minutes after me so he can observe the staff while i stepped out for a few minutes while they switched over my contacts,photos and other information stored on my old phone to the new phone. my friend played as if he was slow minded and was browsing around and then he witnessed the staff reviewing my photos making stupid comments to each other while laughing and even trying to get into my social media sites. do not go to this store!! i am in the process of taking legal action!! very rude and very unprofessional!! i am no longer a client of t-mobile!!! read more

I came to get service and switch from Verizon i was heleped by rep name Laura she was very knowledable and helped me answer every question i had i had a lot she was amazing she explained everything she was with me every step of the process and sold me everything i need for my I phone 6 i was so happy with my experiance because she truly treated me like a valuable customer. I am a very dissatisfied customer and will be writing about my experience at this location and will be filing a complaint at other sites. On 10/12/13, I went with intentions of purchasing a flex protective cover for my galaxy SIII. The customer associate was very persuading and convinced me to purchase a flex cover, tech21 glass cover for aprox.30 plus and a car charger. Three weeks into my possession, the glass cover contained air bubbles. I contacted the store regarding the issue and was informed by a associate to bring it in and they will exchange it. however, due to my work schedule, i was unable to return on that specific day. I week later, on 10/15/13, i was able to return to the store with the defective product only with the packaging for a replacement. unfortunately I didn't have the receipt. The associate couldn't assist me in anyway because he stated , i didn't have the receipt and it couldn't b located online. as a result, I was informed to contact the store manager on Sunday. On Sunday, i spoke with the manager who research my item and informed me that because it was 30days old, they was nothing he can do for me. My issues it that, a 30 day policy, is related to return or replace items you dont want, not items that are defected. I am anger because I had no intention of paying $3o plus for a protective over and now i assed out of the cover and my money. In additional, I prohibited to filing a complaint because their was no further instruction provided to me or available online. As an iPhone user with AT&T, I went into this location to switch over to the Samsung Galaxy with T-mobile and take advantage of the special promotion that they offered to switch over. I had the great fortune to be quickly and happily greeted by Luis, one of the associates, the second I walked in the door. The phone Gods were definitely shining down on me that day. :) Suffice to say he was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, patient, funny and did I mention patient. He, and the manager Eric, went above and beyond the usual customer service to make sure I was extremely comfortable with my new phone. At times, I felt like the customer that would never leave because I had a million questions about the new phone and how it works. In fact, I came back a second time, and was greeted with the same enthusiasm as when I first came in. Who does that? And did I mention I wound up getting a better deal for less money? All I can say is raises for Luis and Eric!! I am one extremely satisified customer. read more
