On the second attempt the ear piece is completely shot and you can only use the phone on speaker. On top of all that, the "tech" kept a smirk on his face as if he couldn't care less and couldn't do anything else for them. Instead of a simple screen replacement now we're headed to potentially replace the entire phone. I truly believe this location must've watched "how to repair phones" on YouTube then opened a shop, screen replacement has never been an issue at qualified locations.

An individual greeted us at the door, spoke to us through a slot in the door, took our laptop while we were standing outside in the cold. We were unable to enter the business like any other business. The place was situated like a fortress. I had delt with this business previously, and what we experienced this time was surprising. My first visit, I was able to enter the business, there was a counter where I was able to place my laptop, and spoke with the technician face to face. This time it was totally different and disgusting, to say the least. He might be an excellent technician, with cost very reasonable, but the business appearance is unacceptable. This is a small community business I would love to support, but the customer service is very poor. Because of this, I would not recommend this business to anyone because of this. Mr. Jean, has to do better than this.

I can't say enough good things about Jean's computer repair. I was up against a deadline for…read moremedical school, and my computer (MacBook Pro) wouldn't turn on, and was making ominous noises. I was extremely upset and overwhelmed at the prospect of not getting my work done in time. Fortunately, Jean saved the day. I took my computer into his shop at 5:30pm on Thursday. He called me at 8:00pm that evening to let me know what was going on and to give me a price estimate ($150). He let me know I could pick it up any time after noon the following day. I stopped by at 1pm, and had my laptop back in perfect working order at exactly the price he gave me. In fact, my computer works better/faster than it did before I took it in, and he cleaned the keyboard and screen as well. I am so relieved and happy, and extremely thankful for Jean's swift and hard work. FYI- it's cash only, there's an ATM down the street with (IIRC) a $1.75 fee.

A Disclaimer for anyone using T-Mobile insurance: If this is your assigned repair location, do…read moreyourself a favor and double check everything they try to sell you after your repair. Do not just take their word for it. I came here to get my screen fixed through T-Mobile insurance. The repair itself was fine, but the customer service afterward was an absolute joke. After the fix, they pushed me to buy a screen protector. I normally order mine from Amazon because in-store ones are usually cheap and poorly made. The only reason I agreed was because the employee assured me that if there were any issues at all, I could bring it back and they would replace it with no questions asked. The younger guy who installed it clearly did not care about doing a good job. He applied it lazily, and while it looked okay at first, within a week the protector started peeling from the bottom left corner. I went back fully expecting them to honor their own words and instead got told it would be 12 dollars to replace it. At no point during the original conversation was this replacement fee ever mentioned. The employee then pointed to some random sheet of paper nowhere near where we talked, trying to justify it. That is not how you do honest business. This is a classic bait and switch and it shows they have zero interest in standing by their word. I walked out without paying because I refuse to reward shady practices. If this is how they treat customers, I would not trust them with anything more than a basic repair. Bottom line: If you have a T-Mobile insurance claim, be extremely careful here. Record what they promise you, get it in writing, or better yet, take your business somewhere else

Sporadically and usually daily, my phone starts behaving as though it's being touched when nothing touches it. It spazzes out until I lock the screen. It sometimes starts right back up glitching, sometimes not, but altogether my experience with my phone has become unreliable and extremely inconvenient. I have been back to Baraboom several times explaining the issue, but the phone would never be glitching when I was there. The first time I came in an explained the problem they said to come back when it was glitching and they would replace the screen free of charge. Fast forward 5 months, and I'm still dealing with the same problem. Every time I go in and ask for help, they give me the same answer. Recently I was with a friend when my phone started glitching and she was able to record a video of it. I went to the store again today to show them the video -it's Ike the 4th or 5th time I've come by now- and they tell me if I want a new screen it will be $40, since it's been so long since the screen was replaced. If this was the first time I had come in I would probably understand, but they knew I had been having an issue that entire time. Now I just feel like I was taken for a ride. I don't want to spend any more money at a place that has given me such faulty hardware and unsatisfactory results. They were polite, fast and very courteous. It looks just like new now! They also have some cool custom wood cases. However, I decided to go for more protection than looks (since that is how my screen cracked before) or else I would have bought a cool wood one!
