The AT&T…read moremodem/router/switch/WiFi device reaches into your local network, and modifies DHCP packets to modify who the DNS is. This is an AT&T "feature", its a non-starter is what it is. No way to disable it. Their device has no "bridge" mode. (EVERYONE has a bridge mode, except AT&T). So, actually going back to either SLOWER cable, with real options, and (can't believe I am saying this, BETTER support than AT&T), or perhaps off to Mobile Carrier pure mobile at the house for internet. Tragically awful. Only AT&T can take the absolute best hardware, and then make the product absolutely unusable. (Evil geniuses thinking up revenue off bad DNS lookups, with no regard for local DNS at EVERY SOHO, at every small business. This is the heart of Fiber business, and AT&T just wrecks it. In the end the value is not there. I have the "best" product the BGW320-505, and its the slowest pile of garbage I have EVER seen. I think my Netgear N600 from 1998 out performs this thing.

We were greeted by smiling faces, good mornings, how are you. Worked for me, the Duchess on the other hand was in a panic, so Rafaela, sat us down and began to look over the issue. While looking over things, she was soon joined by her manager, Samhhriddi. The text was a spam, so all was right with world. Be wary, there are tons of ATT spam texts. We ended up dropping Verizon and bundling with ATT as they gave us an offer we couldn't refuse, plus we've had an account with ATT for 24 years and it just made since and saved some $'s. Replaced our Verizon cells, and I like my new cell better with its larger screen. The ladies were supremely patient with the duchess who had a yard long list of questions. I will add we were there at 10 AM, so we the first in the door with no wait.

This year, I experimented with AT&T wireless business internet as a potential cost savings measure. The AT&T internet was advertised at $65 per month. This would have been a decent monthly savings if it worked as well as Comcast. I gave it a few months but the AT&T internet did not work as well as Comcast. Additionally, it was not $65 per month, it was $77. The extra $12 per month was equipment fees and taxes. So I cancelled AT&T, and immediately sent the router equipment back. However I was charged $237 for the equipment, despite the fact that we returned it in perfect condition. I was also charged an additional month, for a total of $314. When I called AT&T, I was told that I had a 30 day grace period from the time I started the account in order to return the equipment. Since I evaluated it a few months, apparently I missed my opportunity to send it back for a refund. This was NOT explained when I started the account. Beware of these scam artist. If you sign up for AT&T business internet, you are not renting the equipment, you are buying it.
