I usually get great service at this location however today was beyond frustrating! Not only the worst service Ive ever had, rude, and misinformed. Felt like they simply did not want to do their job. I came in to buy full price for a phone, i was told it was in stock but if i wanted to buy it flat out why wouldnt I go to best buy or apple store to save myself money because of XYZ. I was told they carried unlocked iphone 16 pros. That was a lie! I called the next closet tmobile and they were out of stock and so was the nearest apple store. So I made my way back, only for her to come out laughing saying they no longer had the iphone 16 pro in stock either. I was there not 15mins prior when she said they had several of the sand color available. She either did not check when she told me that, or just simply did not want to do her job. The whole time she chuckled while telling me I should just wait for the 17. Wasting over an hour of my time. Gave me misinformation time after time. read more

I have been a T-mobile customer for 10+ years and pay the company over $200/month on a plan that includes voice lines, data, watch etc. I was misled to believe that if I cancel a voice line that I no longer need, that my monthly bill would drop in total amount by the cost of that line. I confirmed twice, both at this store and calling the call center, that indeed cancelling a line would drop the total bill. The moment I cancelled my $35/month line, my monthly service package cost went up from $120 to $150/month. Basically, this is a scam. They lead you to believe that cancelling a line would save you money, and when I did so they completely increased the price of the package to $150/month. No wonder T-mobile has been getting a lot of heat recently for how they mislead customers.... good luck trying to grow revenue at all costs! read more

5/7/21 My last visit was to update/change my account which didn't work out. 7/18/21 The reason I am giving them a 4 Star instead of 5 Stars: 1. This store did not have a business service I am in need of 2. Too many paperwork required to upgrade my service to a business account for current TMobile Customers like me. I will check online first next time instead of visiting a retail store to save time and effort. I am hoping TMobile can make the transition easier for me especially during this pandemic instead of wanting us (both my husband and I) to show up in person to show ID and sign their paperwork! Why do they want us to deal with a TMobile Business line instead of doing it themselves? Why can't they make life pleasant? We are customers. How will they service any new customers online? I am very upset, around the beginning of July this year I bought a Wi-Fi hot spot, a week later I returned it back, they wrote me a receipt and said that the money would arrive within 2 weeks. But, already on September 18, there is still no money. I also contacted customer service and the office, with zero results. I moved from Mountain View to another city, came a few weeks later specifically to talk, because it was a pity to just leave a little more than $200. We were impressed with TMobile's customer appreciation discounts for military and ultimately was the reason we chose TMobile. We walking into the Grant and Phyllis - Mountain View, Store 4468 within three hours of landing in California. Tyler greeted us immediately and helped us with initial questions. Breanna took over from there to help us chose the right plan for us. She was professional, informative and friendly. We understood our options and Breanna and a new associate who was also very good, got us up and running in no time! They even applied the screen protectors on our new phones even though we did not purchase the phones through TMobile. Eek is right! I've had poor service before, but this is the first time in my life I've been ACCUSED OF FRAUD by a customer service rep who also refused to help me. I have been an existing T-Mobile prepaid customer for 1.5 years. I have a great unlocked phone that's still going strong, and I'm waiting for the next Nexus before signing on to a 2-yr contract. I came to this T-Mobile store to convert my existing plan to an international plan since I have some travel coming up. (I had called the 1-800 #s from a landline, but was disconnected repeatedly). There were 2 reps in the store. One said he couldn't convert my account in time for my travel. I said I had called online and they could do it today, but I kept getting disconnected during the activation process. The rep said maybe they could do it from the service center, but the store couldn't. I suspect this is just store policy, but I called from my T-Mobile phone. Every time I reached a human, I asked for his/her direct line in case I was disconnected. They would all give me the number for the dept. I would provide my number, and ask to be called back. They dropped me repeatedly, but yay! after sharing far too much personal info, and being transferred between reps, I was approved for service. So far, I have received no service from the store. On my way out, I ask one rep: "Excuse me, do you have a rate table for making international calls on the Simple Choice plan?" "No." "Maybe you can show me where it is on the website? I had trouble finding it." "No. You should be aware what you're doing is fraudulent." "Excuse me?" "You're going on a Simple Choice plan to go abroad and you're just going to cancel it after. Isn't that fraudulent?" "No. I'm waiting for you to offer the Nexus before signing on to a contract. But even if I were going to switch to another plan at some point, how is that fraudulent? It's only fraudulent if I say I'm staying with this plan, and then I don't." "I'm not saying you're fraudulent. I'm just saying that's fraudulent." So: No service from the store. She is a skilled communicator, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about - it seems - all things cellular! I have had a T-mobile pay-as-you-go phone since I think 2004, and never had a problem with T-mobile. However, I have recently been informed that T-mobile is soon going to shut down the 3G system that my little current phone operates on. Trying to get info on options for updating my phone, I "visited" websites (of T-mobile and others)....what a mess! The stuff I read there was confusing, contradictory, and incomprehensible. I decided to speak to someone in person, even though finding anybody who understands the world of ancient cell phones seemed unlikely....but the T-mobile store is right next to the grocery store, so why not? I stopped in, and spoke to Alicia. Wow, she was able to explain GSM vs CDMA, 4G vs 3G vs 4G-LTE, as well as the details of all of the various plans, both current and past, how much each one costs, etc. etc. I am impressed and amazed. So if you are confused about cell phones, go see Alicia at the Grant Road T-mobile store. She will clear it up for you. read more

My brother and I walked in the store around 6:45pm. The entire time we were in the store, the employees eyeballs were glued to their personal phones. Neither one even glanced to see how we were doing. We were on the lookout for a new phone but needed to know price differences and other technicalities before pulling the gun. However, once we were finally fed up with waiting for them to help us, one employee let us know the prices of the phones, the same price list we were staring at for 15 minutes. When we brought up that we would be using a payment plan, he told us that he would have to look up the pricing for that on our account HOWEVER THEIR SYSTEMS WERE DOWN AND THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO SO. Really rude manager who does not know enough about what can be and can not be done at store. Went there to buy off a leased phone, paid it off but the manager did not mention anything about unlocking. When I went back and requested an unlock all I got was "we can't do that at store. You have to call customer service," when I tried to give feedback that this is a hassle to customers, all I got was "it's a policy." And it turns out they can actually put in a request to unlock the phone just like customer service can. I just confirmed that with t-mobile customer service. The guy just did not know/did not want to do it. And behaved extremely rude refusing to help. Who does this? First time such a bad experience at t-mobile store. Stay away from this store. read more

Went to get advice on buying a new android phone. As a non-techie older person i was bracing myself for what i was sure would be a stressful and unpleasant experience. Couldn't have been more surprised. I was initially helped by Kleiber, a young guy who was friendly, super patient, answered all my questions and gave excellent advice. He helped set up my phone (purchased from elsewhere) and altogether probably spent a good hour or so with me. When i returned a few days later with a couple more questions I was helped by Marley, a young women, who was equally friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. She also spent quite a bit of time with me. So in the end it was an overwhelmingly positive experience with fantastic customer service - something that is rare these days. I was lucky and managed to get someone to help me as soon as I went in the store on both occasions. I noticed that while i was being helped, other customers came in and had to wait. But they were informed in a friendly way about how long the wait time would be so they could choose to hang around or come up...very professional service. Impressed. read more

It's been 6 years I used t mobile services and he thinks my cell is not unlocked , I did not see their ratings before I go there lol , discussing personal things with Thier employees when they are assisting customers does not seem polite at all .
