I've been to many T-Mobile locations. This one seems to be the best staffed one. The plaza layout is a little strange and parking can be a premium here. When I got there, I didn't see any spaces and I had to drive around a couple times to find one. Be aware that a full section is reserved for the bank. We enter and there is a bunch of employees ready to help us. After going through the verification process. I am a current T Mobile member and the last time I got my new iPhone they changed my plan added a bunch of stuff I didn't want. So this time I tell them do not change my plan. Luckily I said that because she was looking into changing my plan. I told her to do the calculations and if it's cheaper then I will do it. After she checked into it, my old plan was cheaper. Then they didn't have any of the IPhone models we wanted. Ugh, they had to order them. We decided to go to the Apple Store instead. It stinks that they ended their agreement with Best Buy, we always get our phones through them and they always had full stock of all the phones. My experiences with the T Mobiles stores have been so so. Maybe next time. read more

This T-Mobile used to be very good. Today was the first time I went back in 3 years and it is now horrible. I went with my dad and brother because we currently switched our provider back to T-Mobile. We go in to transfer all data and trade in our phones. The employee Oscar was very rude and judgmental towards my family because of their skin color. He talked to my family like they were dumb. At that point I lost my patients with him and treated him like he treated my family. Then he had one of his other friend employees (unfortunately didn't catch his name), he walked up to us pretty much telling us to get out of the store because we could finish the back up at home. I told them AGAIN that we had to finish everything there so we could trade in our phones. Near the time we left we found an issue, asked Oscar about it and he gave us a BS answer just to get us out of the store. With 5+ employees there sitting on their phones doing nothing and 2 employees being rude towards different colored customers is far beyond disrespectful. This is the closest store to my house. I rather go to the eastlake location where they actually respect their customers. read more

I had to call T-Mobile to figure out the status of my screen cover that was never sent even tho I never got an email. Had to spend 15 mins to reach someone then they asked if a claim was submitted. I do not think so since that man who helped me just told me "I have your email, name, and phone number we will mail it to you". So I don't think he ever did do it which makes sense why I never received email confirmation which I typically get the screen covered in person so never had any but for this mail they should have sent it. So now I'm annoyed and then on top of it the call disconnected and they haven't call me back. So now I have to call back again and wait on a que to start this over. Phone wise T-Mobile is ok for service. Not great ok. But when it comes to customer service they really suck. And not from just this incident but many past incidents. It's always such a headache on getting any issue resolved. Calling them is always a pain so I prefer to go In person. Which is what I did. Sucks that that worker didn't do his part. Sucks more that I don't know his name to put on here so he could be corrected. Again, he could've just said to tey a different store to see if they had it in stock or try to find a location that did. I was thankful he said he could just mail it. Which he didn't keep his word. So it's frustrating but with all the time that's passed my screen is cracked 5x more all over. I bought an iPhone 16 from T-mobile for my mom for mother's day, but I was struggling to transfer her information from an android to the new iPhone, so I went to the closest T-Mobile from my mom's house, which happens to be this location on broadway. I have been with the company for many years and I usually encounter really good customer service in other T-Mobiles. I guess a group of sellers does not reflect the company but I was shocked at how rude and unprofessional everyone was. I sat in a chair for three hours waiting for the info to transfer, not even once did ANY of the sellers approached me to ask how the transfer was going, not even the guy that was supposed to be helping me. The transfer stopped moving at 1 hour 56 min, so after 30 min I asked one of the techs if there was anything wrong with the transfer, did not even checked the phones, just told me that it could take MANY hours to transfer (i am fine with waiting, it was just weird that it stopped moving). I asked another seller that was not busy if it was normal that it was not moving, again did not even looked at the phones, just repeated wherever the first seller said. I was embarrassed for being completely ignored and felt very humiliated. Never was i rude or needy with any of the sellers. After 1 hour passed of my phone being stuck STILL in the same time, i just asked the second tech what I had to do to try again the transfer at home, and left. (I spent a total of three hours and my problem was not resolved). I tried a couple of times at home and it kept freezing at a specific time and eventually I would get a message saying the transfer was cancelled. The only thing that helped me was removing the SIM card from the android, so there would not be any interruptions. I was able to transfer the info to the iPhone except all the contacts with a Mexican phone number, which we will do it manually. Anyway, i have read the responses from this T-Mobile to other clients with bad experience and is a generic, lame response. The same day after the transfer I went to T-Mobile in Eastlake (totally different experience, the tech that helped me was very patient and I was out of there in 5 min, I just needed the phone line to transfer to the new phone). read more

Walked in, waiting to be checked in fire about a few minutes. One of the guys checked everyone in and looked right passed me, then I proceed just to ask for an Apple Watch charger. The gentlemen replied saying they ran out, then right when I turned around I see him grabbing one last one. I went to grab, then he told me there was a 20min wait. Keep in mind there are 5 reps total. 2 of them were not doing anything. Poor service. Shame on the ASM OR RSM who didn't check me in and then lied to me about the charger. I was an RSM for a location here in San Diego, and I can tell you this is not how you run a store. It wasn't even busy. I am a disabled, senior citizen. I have had free phones, government phones, iPhone. I decided to go with a phone that has good reviews, & has come recommended. I went to this store, on Feb. 12, 2025.I got a new phone & a package that I can afford. When I get home, I had trouble immediately. My phone will not stay on the Internet. I didn't have Internet about 75% of the time. It's horriblely annoying being unable to go to the Internet or stay on the Internet. I'm basically a shut in. I order, pretty much, everything I need, using Internet. I call customer service 4 times. The last time I was on the phone for 2 hours. They came to the conclusion that everything was good with their end. So maybe I had a defective sim card. I got a new one, with no luck. The phone still didn't work correctly. I was then told by the store that it could be my location. I have a few friends, who have T-Mobile. My friend's phones work just fine at my house. So it's not that. I go back to the store for the third time & now they say the phone could be faulty, so I asked if I could get a different phone. The answer was, Sure! If ya pay for it. read more

I went in at the expectation of walking out with a new phone. I was told they didn't have any new iPhone Pro Max 15. I didn't ask for black and then was persuaded to take a blue one. I still want it black. I was told that the phone would be $199 which I had no problem with but Felipe did not tell me that there would be a added fee of sales in tax and also a connection fee for the phone. Before all this transpired I asked for the phone to be sent to the store my address was updated and then he told me I will get it in the mail. We went from Fst and then to Chula BlVista mall location misinformed about an official Retail T-mobile store, had bad customer service calls during the in-store visit to transfer a phone # to my account as a transfer of liability. All phone reps stayed silent, hung up or tried transfer, and our wonderful In-Store T-Mobile Rep Jennifer really helped us out seeing the service we were getting from the phone reps, took the time to calm in with us and get the xfer of liability done for my senior citizen father. She saved the day when we were giving up to come back the next day in the morning after misinformation from the Fst and Broadway store and CV mall store. Been a sprint customer for almost 10 years now and this merger with t-mobile by far been the worst experience. Phone keeps malfunctioning and I have insurance. I made a claim and was advised they had techs. 1st trip. Tech refuses to look at it tells employ to fact. Reset my phone. Get home phone malfunctions again. 2nd trip tech finally looks at it say they need an hour to change battery out. 3rd trip i come back they "claim" to have changed the battery but its at the same battery level as it was when I left. Get home and 2 hours later it malfunctions again. Have to go back tomorrow and I will be contacting corporate over the poor customer service and falsified work. read more

Went in yesterday to pay off my phone and upgrade i not sure what the name of the guy who helped me was, stood there for over an hour trying to get my sim card to activate and ended up being robbed when i was making my down payment he told me the total for the down payment was $308 with some change and i obliviously paid it i gave him $320 and he gave me $11 dollars change with no receipt i asked for one and he said it would be posted onto my account i didnt get to finally log in until today and i seen that the total that was due yesterday was $159 and not $308 ! On there it said my change was supposed to be $161.95 and i only received $11, i called the location today pretty sure the guy who robbed me was the first one who answered bc he just put the phone down and left me on hold for 10 mins until another representative answered and proceeded to help me, they tired to say it was a system error but I definitely dont think that was the case i think he just seen a young girl wit money and decided that he was gonna take my money ! I'm supposed to be getting a check in the mail in 7-10 business days .. i just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else bc money really does not grow on trees i work really hard for it for someone just to decide on it ! I had just received a bad experience from a privately owned tmobile store up on Broadway and H street by the Dollar Store shopping center. I wanted to upgrade my device and terminate the lease on another Iphone I had. I was greeted by Chris where he initiated the process for my upgrade. He was knowledgeable and sincere so I do get the most out of my money. He then transferred me to the mobile expert Carlos who was going to finish the process for me. I did not mention anything about terminated the lease on the other phone because I did not want to get confused as I did at the other store. These two gentlemen brought it up and I told them what happened to me at the other store. Not only did they tell me that the lady was wrong but they guided me to the best possible option for me. I walked out of there with the new Iphone 13 Max Pro, terminated the lease on the phone I did not want and paid $300 less that what the other rip off money hungry tmobile store wanted to charge me. Thank you so much Chris and Carlos. Today I learned to never go to a privately owned tmobile store. Always ask before being helped and if its a privately owned get out and look for your nearest corporate owned tmobile store. read more

AVOID THIS BRANCH AT ALL COSTS! I was told by a neighbor and family members to not come to this branch but here I am... 6 hours in and couple hundred dollars paid and still cannot walk away with a functioning phone. Wish management was more responsive and sensitive to how stressful this situation has been but they have brushed it off and cleaned their hands. I'm not saying the staff are the ones to blame for corporate mistakes but they could of tried to make the experience more pleasant. Avoid this location by al means. You will be scammed or they will attempt to scam you. I had some issues with getting a signal on my phone. I had done some troubleshooting over the phone with technical support. The last thing we tried was removing the SIM card which failed and resulted in me not having any signal at all. Tech support directed me to this T-Mobile location to get that issue resolved. When I arrived I was approached by one of their employees. Josh was the name I was given. I started to explain to him the issues I was having with my phone. He was not interested or listening. He interrupted and basically told me my phone was too old and the software not compatible and my only option was to upgrade. I'm not tech savvy but I could tell this clown was full of it. I left and decided to resolve my issue elsewhere. I went to the T-Mobile location down near F and Broadway. There I explained my problem. The employee simply replaced the SIM card and just like that my phone was up and running. No expensive upgrade needed. Save your time and money and avoid this place like the plague.
