If I could give it a 0 I would. Unfortunately I switched to them when I visited my local Costco. They had a great deal and the monthly service cost was cheaper than AT&T. Unfortunately their service is cheap too! I live in national city and am always on SOS. Get constant call drops. My kids can't use their phones either. They got me on a 3 yr contract and it'll cost me over $2300 to cancel my contract w 4 lines!! DO NOT GET THEIR SERVICE!!! Two associates told me they couldn't help me and to go to an Apple Store since "...it's not our phone, it's their phone. We only provide the service." They didn't even look at my phone or try. To be clear, I've been a loyal Verizon customer for about a quarter of a century. I have a love /hate relationship with them. The love part dates back even Farther when thier slogan was Paging that's all we. The Hate part began a couple years later due to the way they handled a situation causing me to drop them. Verizon bought out Airtouch a few years after I singed up with them via Southland Antena which had a display at the then Delmar Fair. My wife's sister was hit by a car on a freeway on ramp when her car stalled and she ran across the ramp to the emergency phone. Right then I decided to protect my wife from such a thing and buy her a cell phone. So I started researching and based on the information I had at the time Airtouch was the way to go. I was going to go to Airtouch when I found Southland Antena at the the Del Mar Fair. They had a fair special and I took thier offer. Our first phones were as big as bricks. The didn't do one tenth what my Samsung Galaxy S21+5G is capable of. Which brings me to why I'm writing this review. Please be aware that this review is only for today's visit and only for the location on Broadway and H in Chula Vista. This morning I walked in Verizon feeling stupid because while trying to set my brightness on my phone my screen went black. I couldn't get it to go back so after a half hour of getting nowhere I decided to ask for help. As I was sitting in Verizon on I felt even more stupid, till I realized I was reading in Spanish. I read the English translation and felt stupid again because I didn't know any more than when I read it in Spanish. The sign was about keeping track of your metrics . The gal that was helping me asked me how I was doing. I found out she didn't care how I was doing , she was paid to ask me that. Anyway when I told her that I felt stupid to have to ask for help and even stupider for not knowing what a metrics was she interrupted me and asked me why I stopped in. I told her and she fixed it in 30 seconds and shoed me out the door before I could ask her how she fixed it so I could fix it myself ir it ever happens again. Came in today to trade in my phone for a new device... just walked out with NOTHING! Why? Because the associate that attended us does NOT deserve the commission. What poor customer service! Legit like this girl hates her job. I want to say she just got back from lunch or break and who knows what made her so miserable (since I hate to think this is how people really are) but the service she gave to us was terrible. Few things to note: 1. We walked in and weren't immediately greeted by anyone nor acknowledged 2. There were 3 associates tending to one person, along with customer service assisting over the phone 3. Wait time wasn't terrible but we got stuck with the girl that just got back from break with a terrible attitude Now back to my story: once we let the girl know what we came in for she walked us over to where the phones were and asked for some contact information to verify us. We explained to her the recent text message we received with a promotion and she took some time to search for that same promotion on her tablet. Once she found it, she gave us a brief explanation on how it would work with the trade-in, and then asked us to select the device we would like to purchase. Once we told her, she asked how much storage we'd like, and that's where I asked her what the difference in pricing would be. Here's where she got under my skin- she didn't even look up from her tablet and said "all the pricing is right there in front of you." I thought to myself "Oh I'm sorry! Of course I should have known that when the pricing was NOT right in front of us. You have to open the phone and it'll tell you the breakdown in pricing!" 1st strike! Then I noticed there were 2 different prices and wanted to know if both applied or only one, and when I did, her response was dismissive and rude and a little condescending, like again, I should know this right off the bat. 2nd strike! Once she left to grab us the phone we had selected, that's where I asked my husband if it was just me or was she being completely rude. His response "oh yeah total B!" Once we went back to activate the phone and her upgrade our plan, we started asking more questions regarding the billing and the cost we would have to pay today. She mentioned that today we would pay an upgrade fee, an activation fee, and taxes on the new device. I looked over at my husband to make sure he wanted to pay those fees and that's when the associate mentioned how if we do this online they don't charge those fees. So my husband asked her to confirm what she just said about the fees being waived and she switched to "sometime they do" and then told us "but that's all for you to research online!" My husband was about to give his card to pay for all the fees and that's when I told him it's best we walk away. He told the girl this and she didn't even give us a response. Not an Okay, or a thank you for coming in today, or if I could be of any other help. Nothing! This is when I loudly told my husband that the reason we should walk away is because it's obvious this girl doesn't want to sell this device NOR does she deserve the commission for selling this device. This was not about the fees having to be paid, this was all about the customer service, or shall I say LACK OF, we received by this rude employee. We are now heading to a different location to hopefully have a much better experience and give our business to someone much more deserving. The bar hasn't been set very high by this location. Having worked in sales I could understand the need to sell & competitiveness. Upon arrival a woman with glasses from the back literally jumped to get my attention and be the first person to greet me. However as soon as she heard me say "I'm here to pick up" her interest in assisting me was no longer present & she seemed bothered with having to assist a non-sale. If I could give zero stars, I would. I made an appt for my elderly mom to go in and either have her phone fixed or change it out for a new one. She has been experiencing a lot of issues during calls where the other person on the other end cannot hear her. It is complete silence. Im guessing it has something to do with the microphone. I was very specific while setting up her appt., as to why she was going in, so that there would be nothing lost in translation. She called me as soon as she left (basically kicked out) to tell me that the person "helping her" basically told her "what do you want me to do about it" and told her to go home and have her daughter (me) delete apps from her phone. What does that have to do with anything???? He told her, he's not there to troubleshoot! What?!!! Then what is the point of him even being there???? I was really upset when she called because it sounded like she wanted to cry out of frustration. I usually go with her, but do to covid it's a 1:1 ratio right now and I had to send her on her own. I asked if she got the person's name, so that i can call and give this person a piece of my mind, but of course she didn't. Only reason even give that fourth but not only there is because yes Verizon is the elite and they know it. The best phones if you ask me, there app is really user friendly and they always have things (perks) like Verizon cash (sorry if that's not what's it called) but it's like they just give you at least 5 bucks a month if not more for paying on time, keeping your arrangements and basically as time passes and your still there so does the perks. The cash can be saved up used on your bill, put towards new upgrades, accessories and well lots of things that art are quite useful. I love their coverage never have dropped calls or maintenance troubles. They pretty much ask no questions about returns as long as you meet the policies, which you purchased and receipts are all listed on the app so it's not hard to prove. You can really wait till the last day of (exp: 59th day and you only have 60, no longer have the box of forgot the charger) just little things like that go a long way in keeping loyal customers happy. Now there few cons that are pretty bad if you ask me. I have been a member for about 2 years nothing in the wireless biz but I call that loyalty. If your2 hours later on your 1-3 bill you're out. No questions asked, no arrangements no post dated withdrawals just that's that your V card is pulled ( huh.. You like that play of words I did??) Aldo because this is Yelp and I am supposed to review this location, it is pretty bad. Doesn't matter the time of day or if you don't even have a question you simply just want to purchase a case with cash or debit. You will have to sign in and be seated until they call you. Now I have a few sleeves 1" gauges and am not the quietest man. I like joking, talking just having fun. These employees and there security guard whom just stays seated and then follows you around while every employee stares at you if you decide you would like to browse the selection , two 5x8 foot walls opposite of each other while the devices self pay kiosk surround the nice sized store in a weird shaped rectangle circle thing. And the only reason I do that is because I hate sitting for 30 minutes listening to old peoples problems with the keyboard being to small or asking "what's an SMS" yes really heard that. So I get ready for my turn the next man on the list don't gotta wait all day! The employees don't know how to handle this. Managers kinda mean if you don't speak the Spanish which I do I just choose not to. And they act like I want them to donate me a liver when I ask for them to put the screen protector for on. Don't mind making an appointment At this store. It won't be honored even if you come in early per manager Minerva. I asked her if she knew we were coming and she said she didn't check any appointments, as in she doesn't care if Verizon customers make appointments at her store. She told us she couldn't help us because they have a staffing issue. She also said that Verizon knows this and she encourage customers not to make appointments since she will not know if they will get seen on time. I asked her to help us and she said she couldn't be tied up. However she helped someone else while we were waiting and it took her 20+ minutes to help this customer out. This Verizon store needs new management. No wonder employees don't like their job and why they don't have staff. This is not the only time we've had issues with this store. I've had to come here 2 days in a row which is already bullshit considering this is the only Verizon corporate store in Chula Vista. 1st day I come here to pick up my new SIM card and I kindly ask the employee if I could just input the SIM card here so that I don't experience any issues with it at home. He says that due to the pandemic I can not enter which was obviously a lie cause I saw 3 customers go inside for a new phone. Tells me to go home, put in the new sim, wait 30 minutes then I should be good to go. I then experience an hour waiting on another phone just to talk to customer support, another hour for them not knowing why it's not working and then being told that I would have to wait the next day cause customer support is closing. Called the next day as soon as they open, 15 minutes of waiting and they tell me that AT&T is garbage when porting a phone number to Verizon and so it should be good by 9:30am. It's 1pm and I drive to the store cause I'm not waiting another hour for customer support. I stand in line and just listening to everyone having issues with either activating a phone or they just got a phone and they can't even do online billing. I speak to Minerva here at this location and she says that my phone is stuck with AT&T which would have been nice to know a day earlier and that she can't do anything for me. TOO LONG, DIDNT READ There is an older guy maybe in his 50's with slick white hair and a woman named Minerva here. Avoid getting "assistance" from these two. Everyone else I've spoken to says you can be put inside the store for any assistance and these two employees will try their hardest to keep you outside or send you off. VZW 591 H St, Chula Vista, CA 91910 I went in on Saturday May 10th, 2014 to get an upgrade from my Galaxy S3 to the new Galaxy S5, the greeter who I don't recall her name but her title said "Manager" gave me a good greeting and started telling me that she was happy with her new S5 after me questioning her likes and dislikes for that product since i wanted to get it. Shortly another employee yells out in front of me, "Ok, who do I have to deal with next?", and that would of been me of course :/. So I began telling this gentleman that I saw online that there was a deal for 99.99 for the upgrade on the S5, long story short he began telling me that they did not have such sale and that the phone would cost me out the door over 189.00 that included the $30.00 activation fee and that if I wanted to but it on line it was my decision not his. I dont know why Verizon Corporation does not do anything about their customer service since obviously they are the biggest cellphone provided service in America. I would love to have my Attorney write a Major Complaint letter since there are no grounds for a Class Action Lawsuit for their Services!!!! read more

I went to upgrade my phone so I decided to go with the new Droid Razr. The price online and the at the store was listed at $199. Some girl helps me out and starts the whole process. After a few minutes she tells me that I'll pay $325 plus tax. I told her both the online price and the price there at the store showed $199. She then began to explain how I was wrong and that the price I was talking about is the difference between the regular price and the upgraded price and that I still had to pay $325. I questioned her several times and she only gave me an annoyed look and repeated the same thing. Hmmm, this really makes no sense when $599-$199=$400. I got upset and didn't even want to deal with that store so I left. About a half hour later I show up to the Verizon store at Otay and what do you know, they give me the phone for $199. I would give Verizon zero stars if I could. We went into this thinking we were going to get a 15% off discount for being veterans and were assured by the staff at this store that we were eligible. I even checked on the Verizon website to be 100% sure, All research pointed to the 15% off discount. Months after signing up and submitting the paperwork we were told we weren't eligible for the discount because we didn't sign up for a two year contract. No one bothered to call us or let us know anything. I had to call them. Verizon employees are a bunch of liars - they just want you to sign up for their service and leave you in the dust. I'm beyond furious and considering cancelling their sevice. It's not that great anyway. I constantly get text messages that say "Welcome to Mexico" while I'm sitting on a US Military base. For starters the parking situation here is horrible. There's never a spot in the lot and the starbucks drive thru cuts into it, occasionally leaving you stuck int eh tiny lot. I usually put up with it and park by the weinerschnitzel or shopping are next to it. I have been doing most of my verizon needs (upgrades, change of plan, adding people) there for 4-5 years now. Each time I go it gets worse. This last time was the worst and has put me off from returning to this one. I went 3/13/14 because of an offer to upgrade 1 or both of the lines in my account early with the Edge program. I read up on it before going. Right away the usual parking situation, line in starbucks, no spaces available. I ended up at weinerschnitzel. I go in, am not greeted (not a big deal but just hints to the atmosphere) and walk around about 5 minutes looking at phones available. My wife had an Apple Iphone 4 that was becoming laggy with the recent updates and we wanted to upgrade her to a 5s. No one comes to help so I stand in line where people are paying and wait until I'm up and thats how I got someones attention to help me. Now the customer service here starts: I finally start getting helped. First they pull up my account. but two guys are sharing the computer because something is wrong with the other one. The person helping me gets my account mixed up and starts giving me details on the plan the other person had up. After that gets figured out he starts telling me about the edge plan that I already read up on. I'm ok with it. I pick the iPhone 5s my wife wants and take out her old iPhone 4 to trade it in. This is where it actually gets bad and downright unethical. He tells me my total for the trade up will be 127 dollars and some odd cents. I mention that it should be taxes and first month only due. He tells me that it also includes the case, screen protector, bluetooth and car charger. I tell him that I don't need any of that, I just want the phone. he starts telling me that it is required. I tell him it's not and if that's the case I will just hold on to the 4. He says that unfortunately it is required and he can't do it without the add-ons. This goes back and forth for about 30-45 seconds and I tell him I'm just going to leave then. He is okay with it and I walk out. I tried going to the verizon off the 54 (next to Best Buy) but the wait is over 35 minutes to get attended. and Finally I drive the extra time to go to Otay Ranch Center. The Verizon there greeted me, helped me out immediately, did not push any add-ons. In fact, I originally said we just wanted the 16GB and they told me they only had 64GB and 5c in 32GB. I agreed to the 64GB 5s and when they went to get it they realized they had received 2 16GB 5s that day and were honest with me, came out apologized for the bad info and let me have the 16GB (this is after I was completely ok with spending more). the Otay Ranch Center Verizon did exactly what I wanted quickly and did not push anything on me. They offered add-ons and when I declined they were nice about it and did not push for it. overall. the H street verizon had me with a bad taste in my mouth and considering a T-mobile contract buyout, but my last try at Otay Center Ranch brought me back. It's just unfortunate I have to drive out about 20 minutes to get good customer service. read more

Zero stars should be a choice. Don't waste your time visiting this location. The place was understaffed, the music was so loud and obnoxious that the greeter couldn't get my name and I couldn't hear myself think. Kevin was the sales rep (and they were all males) and it was impossible to get a straight answer out of him. I asked him if the keyboard on a particular phone could go landscape and portrait and all he could say was "I guess so". I told him to go find out and he came back and said it didn't. I asked him some other questions and he was vague and disinterested and when I said something about that he got defensive and condescending. So I walked out and went to the Verizon on Broadway where I got much better service and where they showed me that phone was good in BOTH landscape and portrait orientations. Parking was a pain too. The parking lot also serves as the drive-thru lane for Starbucks is always backed up and makes it impossible to navigate the parking lot. The parking lot is small, shared with other business, and has the stupidest access from H Street and from the parallel alley. And there are not enough handicap spaces. I wanted to Yelp the Broadway store but they aren't on Yelp yet. I'd go there, they are much better. read more

I went in to do a simple switch from one phone to another on a family plan. But I needed a new sim card. They refused to give me the sim card because they said the administrator of the family plan had to come in with me, which customer service over the phone previously had said was not necessary. When the manager stepped out behind her vault door, I asked her if she was the manager. Then I explained I just needed a sim card. I even said, just give me the sim card and we'll do it with customer service over the phone. She refused even to give me a sim card. It was completely ridiculous. I let her know my reason for calling, & asked if the phone I wanted, iphone 6 64gb, was available in their stores inventory. Her response? "Yes we have them." To which I responded "Do you have all 3 colors?" "I just checked the phones this morning and we do have SOME. I don't know what color though." Sooo...can't you go check? Isn't your job customer service? How was it so difficult to let me know in a polite manner that you would place me on hold for a few minutes while you checked for me, your paying customer of 5+ years. Instead, I got attitude and a snobby response. I asked to speak with a manager. "Al" was who I ended up speaking too after Monica places me on hold. 1) not only did he not apologies for how rude his employee was, he reasoned with her & said "well she's busy with another customer"... Mind you, Monica never mentioned she was with another customer. Nor did she bother asking if she could place me on hold to check their inventory. For all it sounded like, to me, was pure laziness. 2) he , Al, continued & said I am not priority since I'm not "standing right there in person"... Hmm, Really? I'm a customer. A PAYING customer. I should be your priority as well as any other paying customer. You simply don't say that. So Al, I'm not sure who made you Manager, but maybe you should take some training to clean up your professionalism. Trust me when I say I am not one to complain, or go out of my way to post a negative review, but both store employee Monica and store manager Al, were the least pleasant sales representatives I have ever dealt with in my 5+ years using verizon. I have never been made to feel so insignificant or uncared for at Verizon even if they didn't agree with my phone preferences. Past associates usually engage and we talk about our likes or dislikes of phones. To each their own. Just because I don't like one phone doesn't mean I don't like the person that has it. For all his forced smiles, his answers were curt and he would not engage in conversation or even ask what I was looking for. They didn't have the phone available I actually would have bought and didn't even offer to order one or look at another store. I only come here for the convenience. The Otay Ranch Branch sucks cause they no longer have that 'Pay Machine' that was easy to make payments with. Don't get me wrong, cause I know it's a lot easier to pay online, but I like to get out and do things and driving to make a payment is one of them...it keeps you active. Parking sucks so you have to park on the other side where Carrow's Restaurant use to be which is why they lose a STAR at an pretty good Verizon Wireless Store. I was placed on the wrong plan for my daughter's Gizmo watch so I was insanely overcharged for the first couple of months. Then I recently went back for technical assistance and the guy working told me they would send me a new phone in 2 days. Total lie. Someone from the district needs to shop this store under cover to see how rude the staff is here and retrain or get rid of the dead weight. I went in for a simple SIM card replacement due to mine not working. Sounds easy enough.WRONG! The "floor manager" who was there was a complete know-it-all with a huge chip on his shoulders. He said since I wasn't the main account holder he could not sell me one. Even though my name is on the account linked to my phone number. Yes, I showed him my ID. He said he would need the PIN number if the account to sell me one. Ok, no problem. One call and I gave it to him. He said it was invalid. I then had him speak to the account holder via phone and he was arguing with her saying that her information was not matching the account. It happens that the name on the account is a common name but he was too busy trying to prove that he was right that he pulled up the wrong account! What a putz! Once he realized his mistake he sold me the SIM card. Not once did he apologize for his obvious blunder. His attitude was atrocious. I am no longer going to this location. My Motorola android phone was starting to act up. I went into this store and spoke to a nice lady named Monica. She assisted me purchasing a new phone. Then she suggested today was the last day of a sale on 7 inch tablets. So I decided to purchase one as a gift to my best friend Emily who lives in Baja. So Monica started activating the tablet and was called away to answer questions at another end of the counter. When she returned, she handed me a small Verizon shopping bag loaded with boxes of accessories for the phone and tablet. I saw the tablet box on top, picked it up and could tell something was inside by the weight. It would be a little over a week until I would be able to present the gift to Emily in Baja since my office is located in Chula Vista and I work up here. Well all good deeds do seem to get punished..... When I finally opened the box, the only thing inside was a charger. I looked all over the car for the tablet, to no avail. Then contacted the store and spoke with a manager, Al who took the offensive and said " It's almost two weeks later and you are now calling to question where the tablet is?" "Are you accusing us of stealing it?" I replied I did not know what happened to it since the last time I physically saw the tablet, Monica was activating it behind the counter. She assured me everything was in the bag when she handed it to me. I posed to Al that they have cameras at the counter and they could check and see what indeed happened to the tablet. Al stated I would need to file a police report to trigger someone looking at the video tape of the transaction. "Just do what you gotta do". When the CVPD arrived, the officer stated this was a civil matter and I should contact customer service at Corporate Verizon. After hours spent discussing the situation over and over again with consumer relations bozos who A) Said they would resolve the situation if I would agree to be purt on hold for "a minute". B)Came back on the phone 10-15 minutes later to say "I'm sorry, my hands are tied. C) The store should have resolved this problem D) They don't know why the store manager sent me to Corporate even though it was a Corporate store. Mumbling, bumbling idiots more interested in commissions than customer service. So now I am forced to either subpoena the video tapes (per their suggestion) or be contracted for $10 per month X 24 months for service I can't access for a tablet I paid for, but don't have. I even have to cancel the service and pay an early cancellation penalty to prevent anyone with my tablet from running up my bill. This company store and their corporate support should be avoided at all costs. I WILL be taking them to small claims court. read more

I have such mixed feelings about this store because I always walk out of there with my problem resolved, but I have to go through horrible customer service to get to that point. Also the parking lot is tiny and you usually have to wait anywhere from 10-40 minutes to be helped. The woman who initially helped me was rude. She would ask me a question and then cut me off in the middle of my explanation. She never smiled or displayed any characteristics of someone with great customer service, and this is probably because as soon as she was done helping me she returned to whatever she was doing on her phone. On the other hand, the woman named Eli who helped me was so great, she made up for the rest of the experience. I would ask for her if you want someone who was kind and understanding and got the issue resolved. She helpful, kind, and polite unlike almost every other employee I encountered. read more

The best way to describe the service at this store is to say that they SUCK. Don't know how this store is still in business. Wait times, service, parking and false promises. I will never use this location again. Verizon Wireless you need to train this store better or are we to understand this type of business is what you represent. I just visited the Otay Ranch Verizon store and this guys really took care of me. It's worth the drive. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service of any provider at this store and telephone customer service. Plans that are vague, customer service representatives that are not well trained, supervisors that are rude and ignorant. They are they offer free Mexico service but don't define or stand behind their words. Their bills are purposely confusing and inconsistent and you will spend hours of over the top frustrating time listening to their absolute BS. AND TO THINK I SPENT 15 YEARS AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER BECAUSE I THOUGHT THEY HAD THE BEST COVERAGE!!! AND DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY HAVE NEITHER. Verizon wireless sucks!!!
