If I could give minus stars, I would. I went into T-Mobile to buy a new tablet, but it was worse than dealing with a car salesman. Buy this to get a discount on that, nothing clear or straightforward. I left feeling like I was a conquest, not a customer. Bought the same tablet from Best Buy where the customer service was respectful and helpful. I then went back to the T-Mobile store to ask that they remove the tablet from my account, but was told they weren't allowed to do that and I would have to call customer service, which is AI driven. My request was done in a chat and it was confirmed that the line for my tablet would be deleted. Thinking it was so, surprise, surprise when I was charged for the tablet on the next bill. I then decided to change carriers. What a nightmare. My phone and my daughters' phone transferred, but T-Mobile wouldn't allow my husbands' phone to transfer, for no good reason. No money was owed. A week later and we are still spending an inordinate amount of time trying to get out from under T-Mobile. Phone call after phone call. Department after department. They keep insisting that my tablet number is the primary number on the account and do not seem to be able to comprehend that it is not in service and was never the primary device. This is a cluster of their own making, which they are unable to fix. FYI, I have since learned that the T-Mobile store in Bothell is run by an independent contractor, hence the abysmal customer service. We now have to go to a T-Mobile corporate store in Kirkland to get the transfer of my husband's phone accomplished. Kudos to the folks at Xfinity in Woodinville for their patience and expertise in walking us through this process. read more

Avoid This Location at All Costs - Not a Real T-Mobile Store This is a third-party T-Mobile location, and it shows. Save yourself the frustration and go to a corporate store where people are actually trained and willing to help. I came in because my phone stopped holding a charge--it would only stay on for a few minutes at a time, even when plugged into a portable charger. I tried filing an insurance claim online, but it redirected me to call a number or go to a store. Since I only have one line and couldn't make a call, I went to this location, which was closest to me. I visited on a Wednesday and was helped by Kyle, a trainee, who was genuinely kind and wanted to help. He explained that his manager, Dantae, had left work abruptly and wasn't helping him with training. Kyle tried texting and calling him to figure out what to do for my situation. Dantae's response? "Tell her to call 611"--how, when I don't have a working phone? He also said to go to a phone repair store. I pay for insurance, so why would I pay out of pocket elsewhere? Kyle went above and beyond. He let me use his own phone, tried calling the manager at another location, and even called the Totem Lake corporate T-Mobile to make sure a manager would be there to help me. Totally different energy from Dantae. At the Totem Lake Village corporate location, I was helped right away. They explained I had a Lifetime Warranty and was eligible for a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) phone. They placed the order and told me I could pick it up Friday. Unfortunately, the new phone was shipped to this Bothell location--which I tried to avoid. When I went in, one employee was with another customer, so I waited. Then a man came out--Dantae. He didn't greet me or even make eye contact. I had to initiate: "Hi, I'm here to pick up my phone." He took a look at my ID, went to the back, brought the new phone out, and removed my SIM card from my old phone. He asks me to turn it on, which I explained to him that my phone does not hold a charge and when it is charged, it doesn't stay on longer than a minute. I also noticed a slight marijuana odor in the store. He pulled out his own phone and started texting right in front of me. I waited a little before I asked if I could get a new screen protector since I had purchased one before and mine was cracked. His response: "Yeah, but I don't have that in stock." I then asked if he could check another store's inventory: "I don't have the ability to do that." So I asked, can he order one? His answer: "Yeah, I can have it shipped to you." But he gave no follow-up, still texting and leaning over the counter. I told him that Kyle had helped me earlier and that the manager who left early that day wasn't very helpful. He said, "I'm Dantae." So I explained that he wasn't helpful especially when he suggested to me to call 611. His response? "Well, there's a phone right there," pointing at the store phone. Funny--that was never offered to me. I actually recall asking Kyle if the store landline could be used for my situation. Kyle offered to let me borrow his own phone instead, but told me that Dantae had specifically instructed him not to let me use it because he'd be "liable if anything went wrong." Again, the store phone was never mentioned as an option at the time. Then he said, "I'm trying to find out from my manager if I can take this phone since it doesn't turn on." I said, "Why not? The assistant manager at Totem Lake knew my situation. If it was an issue, they wouldn't have filed the claim." He replied, "The phone has to be factory reset so I can't take the phone." At that point, I told him: "I don't understand why every time I come into this location, no one is able to help, but corporate stores always can." He said, "Because I follow the rules. I don't break them." "Excuse me?" I asked. He followed with, "My job is on the line and can't take the phone." I told him, "You have the worst customer service ever," grabbed my phone and SIM card, and walked out. He sarcastically said, "Have a great day," to which I replied, "And you don't have a great day." This whole situation felt dehumanizing. Every interaction with Dantae was either unhelpful or laced with sarcasm and apathy. Dantae's behavior and lack of customer service are unacceptable, and I believe he is unfit for a managerial role in a customer-facing environment. If you want competent and respectful service, avoid this location entirely and go to a corporate T-Mobile store. read more

Had to go in there 5 times to change service from Verizon to t-mobile only to PAY MORE AT T-MOBLIE. Let me be clear when I say that their contract agreement is not what you'll actually pay.. I don't even know how that's legal. My mom had to get there even more. Together we probably spend over 15 hours there. Employees have no clue what's going on. I had to face time the manager in order to get my phone? It was weird and awkward, even the employee was like sorry that was weird. At which point they said "oh yeah we have it here" only to have the employee tell me 5 minutes later that my phone wasn't there. Today, after multiple visits to the store I was able to get my phone, still took about 2 hours and they still only had purple for the color. I don't want to come back in a 6th time and risk more issues over the color so I took purple and left. read more

I had a ton of anxiety about coming in to add my wife to my account and buy a new iPhone8. Didn't want to deal with upsales or any kind of BS other people have experienced when getting a new phone. Turned out to be the same stress-free experience I had downtown when I got MY phone 2 years ago. T-Mobile is doing it right. While it's not the fastest or most reliable in my opinion, I'd glady take lower bills and a better overall customer experience. Speaking of customer experience, at this location, Chris was a solid salesperson. We knew what we wanted. He gave us some options. The numbers and plan worked for us and he set us on our way within about 20 min. Came early on a Sunday. No lines. It doesn't get much better than that. After 10+ years of Verizon, I can honestly say so far, I have no regrets making the switch. read more

The Bothell T-Mobile store has an awesome staff. I want to give more stars! They helped correct a jaw dropping error by the Woodinville store. The Woodinville store installed the wrong sim card on my phone but refused to fix it. I called the Bothell store and they correctly diagnosed the issue while on the call. As soon as I got there, they reinstalled the sim card with the right one and all my texted photos downloaded and an emergency message stopped flashing up. The Bothell staff also saw a crack on the screen and looked up my insurance policy and told me how to get a new phone with my coverage. Thank you T-Mobile in Bothell. read more

Bought month-to-month international service for brief Euro travel. Store help initially ok. Went to cancel and that is when all the fun began. Go to 800 help to cancel. Get a pin number. When you cancel, you are transferred to a customer care foreign person who wants to know why and reconsider. Then your pin is invalid after changing it numerous times. Then 800 help sends you back to store who cannot cancel plan and sends you back to 800 help. A deliberate systemic runaround. Certain store staff keeps wanting to sign you on despite several visits and clearly asking to cancel several times. Store calls 800 help with you there and gets nowhere, redirected to resetting pin. Finally, a bill comes for about 2 month's service with collection threats. We paid the bill since service was in theory active but cut off this month. It took us a while to cancel, and I missed the next auto renew date, so that is fine. I removed my credit card from monthly payment. I hope that we are done. Next step will be filing consumer complaints with various government agencies. We will see if they hassle us in the future. Would never use them directly again because of all the hassle. I am with a different big box retailer's plan. They use T Mobile. No problems to date with the other plan in place for 2-3 years. It is too bad--take an otherwise easy and decent service in theory and make it a miserable experience. Time to change your business model? read more

Consistent Terrific Experience! I went to the store next to Spartas Restaurant on Bothell Everett HWY I always have a good experience at this store. VAN & TANIA were exceptionally helpful and understanding. I cannot stress this enough: These two went above and beyond to retain my business and answer all of my questions. Impressively knowledgable, friendly, and patient staff at that location, especially, the two I worked with. I am never disappointed at this location. I felt like I was in good hands with Experts on the products & services and never felt upsold. I rarely come across that in other retail venues these days. I'd been thinking about getting a new phone for a while for a while, but was putting it off because I'd visited some T-Mobile stores previous and the service was usually lame and pushed too hard for a sale. Then one day I found myself in this nice plaza and saw that there was a T-Mobile here so decided to take a look. I'm glad I did! I walked out that day with a Samsung Galaxy S9! Jose helped me throughout, answering a hundred of my questions to help me decide what phone would fit me best. It was a slow day so I had the whole crew to myself and they're a fun bunch to talk to and made the whole process less stressful. Very chill store. A+++ I've been having a blast learning all of the new features that this phone has since my old antique became near useless long ago. Super happy with my purchase and that I found this store! This store is conveniently located just off of Bothell Way near QFC and has an abundance of free parking. It is always very clean and bright and the staff here does a great job at being attentive and making you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I feel like they are also good at making sure your questions are answered and that you're taken care of without being too pushy or intrusive. I don't speak Spanish, however I've heard customers being helped by Spanish-speaking staff on more than once occasion and I thought it was a great example of them going above and beyond in a way that many establishments may not. I went here because there was a mistake in the input of information on a new account, which disabled my data availability or the strength of it. Brent was speedily working on getting my problem resolved with customer service...I opened my account elsewhere but that wasn't an issue. Sarah was also quite the informational booth giving me future pointers on how to take care of additional account details outside of the one Brent was working on. They definitely helped a lost traveler, literally, had made appointments that I thought I can do off the grid, but it was a no go. First thing is first, I love my new phone, and the plan is GREAT. I am so thankful to be away from Sprint. I really appreciate their no contract mentality and buying out my old one. At this specific location, these guys working here are young and energetic. Not at all a bad thing. However, it was a little overwhelming. I would have appreciated it if they slowed down in their describing of things. Knowledgeable about products? No. Thankfully, I did my own personal research on what I wanted (and some talking with the Verizon place in Redmond) and got the information I needed. In wanting to see what Blake had to say, he simply shrugged it off. He insisted that what I wanted was the best and had nothing to add about the difference between LG G3 and the Samsung. Apparently he isn't aware that Samsung has the best memory chips in the world. Disappointing. These guys were funny, happy to chat, and playful. That's all and good - but it was getting kind of out of hand. They were cursing, yelling, talking about their salaries openly to me as a customer, and frankly weren't listening to us. We repeated specific information over and over again. Whenever Cutler needed help with something, his coworkers complained and drug their feet through the process, and at one point said to us, "sorry our trainee is wasting your time." When the contract was being written up, they actually spelled the first name wrong. It is now incorrect on all of our paperwork. We had to sign it like that. Very sloppy and unprofessional. After finally leaving after 2.5 hours on a Friday night, the number didn't even port over to the correct phone. I have to return now, and fix their mistake. Sorry - NOT this location. We came in there with a specific need. I felt like the staff's priority was more geared towards having fun and goofing around rather than helping us get the solution needed. read more

Some woman employee who does not even wear a name tag (good idea if you are going to treat customers that rudely) treated me with no respect, maybe because I have white hair and was not well enough dressed to receive basic courtesy? In the span of a few short hassle-free minutes, I was set up with an even better plan that saved me money, and a brand new Galaxy S7. On 05/31/2018 at 1130 am I went into the store for some quick information. As I went in there were 3 employees working with 3 customers. As I was a walk in I expected to have to wait a bit. I watched the 3 employees working. A shorter male employee was talking and flirting with a female who was going or had gone to Hawaii. They talked and talked about where the best food was and their favorite places to go, this went on for the hour plus, that I was there. This employee never looked at the computer or phone that belonged to the girl. He at no time ever looked in my direction or acknowledged that I was there, something simple like a be with you in a minute. The other two employees were at least working with customers one selling a new phone to someone who still had a flip phone and wanted something for free and the other making some kind of return to someone who does not look like he could have purchased it in the first place. I had been struggling with a Sony droid and getting nowhere with Tmobile after being an Apple user for years. I have been with Tmobile for 11+ years and I getting so frustrated with the service I was receiving at other stores so when I walked into this specific store I assumed it was going to be the run around again, but the two guys that helped us Sillis (spelling?).The guys were SO helpful they got me hooked back up with an iPhone and were so fun. I have been a T-Mobile customer for several years. To me they are by far the best phone service provider. Every month my bill is just what it should be unlike Verizon or Sprint where the bill is often a shock with all kinds of BS charges. Full disclosure: I have been a loyal T-Mobile customer for 15 years, so, obviously, I already am very happy with the service I'm receiving from the company as a whole. That said, I dropped in on this store to see if they could fix an annoying problem with my phone. It was tricky enough that even the centralized customer service folks couldn't help me. Cutler cheerfully went out of his way to help me. He researched how to solve the problem and fixed it for me. He also made a point of letting one of his co-workers know, should the problem recur with another customer. The atmosphere was fun and energetic even as it was clear that all three young men were very committed to helping their customers -- both those calling in and those in the store. Splendid! read more
