Prices are discounted so you can shop with less guilt. I love getting my workout stuff here because the price is so much better here than other stores. The place can get a little disorganized, but not horribly so. It does always look clean. Staff is friendly when they check you out or make returns. TJ Maxx is cool. You can usually find a bunch of cute things you probably didn't know you needed. Lol. I usually go to check out what Hello Kitty/Sanrio items they have in stock. They have a decent selection of many things; clothes, jewelry, shoes, makeup, skincare, fitness equipment, decor, random food items, etc. It's one of those stores you go to just to browse the selections. They do sell some designer things as well. read more

When visiting this location in the winter, I misplaced a mitten that I arrived with in one of the aisles. After searching independently with zero luck, I informed the cashier at the time of my purchase. I was ready to give a full suggestion of me writing my information down and was pleasantly surprised that the cashier beat me to it. She gladly took out a post it note and took inventory of my misplaced item along with my cell number. Naturally as soon as I got home, I received the call that my mitten had been found so I traveled back the following day. It is retail stores that go above and beyond that deserve a Yelp 5-star review. Thank you Eagan employees! Additionally, this location has tons of adorable Valentine's items on display right now. I did a quick search for a TJ Maxx in the area and found this one. It was pretty close to the hotel where I was staying. The drive was a whopping five minutes. This store is at Eagan Promenade. It's a plaza with lots of box stores and eateries. There was plenty of parking. I drove from Barnes & Noble, parked in front of TJ Maxx, and walked in. Ever drive over to a store just to browse, without any expectations, and be completely surprised by the merchandise when you're there? Well, this exact scenario happened to me here. After walking through the doors, the handbags greeted me. The store has the most extensive selection of Kipling bags that I have ever seen! I kept seeing one Kipling bag after the next. Each one was a different style and colour pattern. There was a mixed bag (pun intended... haha!) of classic Kipling gorillas and new metallic ones. I took a photo of practically every Kipling bag in this store except for a dark green one. A woman was holding that in her hand. Part of me wanted her to put it down so I could take a photo. Nope, it looked like she wanted to buy it. I only have a mental image of it. Anyway, I could stop here with my review. This store deserves five stars just for the Kipling bag selection. I should go on about the other sections. I got a facial brush. I normally travel with a Clarisonic. I tend to forget something on a trip and this device was it. I got a nice brush with a softer side for cleansing and a silicone side for exfoliating. It also has a loop to hang it up on a hook. The size 11 women's shoe section was great. I found a grey pair of Converse sneakers. However, I knew that I would be heading to the outlet store, so I put these ones down. It took a lot of strength, I tell ya! This store has my favourite teas that are in little cardboard pyramids. I love gifting them and having some myself to enjoy. The phone accessories were great. There was a screen shelf that I had to get. There were plenty of USB C cables, too. The travel accessories were terrific. I liked the luggage tags and liquid containers that were decently priced. The cashout lineup was kind of long. There were eight people in front of me. I wasn't in a rush, so I didn't mind the wait. It simply makes me look at all the snacks that I want. I had a cashier who was friendly. I paid using a credit card. The machine prompted me whether I wanted to pay in USD or CAD, which was different. The transaction went well. I got my goodies in a bag, thanked the woman, and left. I love this store. I'll be back in hopes for more cool merchandise to look at and perhaps buy. (112) read more

Great location and ample parking We went there looking for dog treats they carry. Found our choice treats, walked the many aisles and store was crammed with carts that needed stock put away. I have never seen so much stuff unorganized. I did find a great sweater at great pricing and slot of glam holiday clothes at great prices. Very nice jewelry counter. Carts of cosmetics to be put away. Three stars because store was in disarray with stock everywhere blocking aisles. read more

Average T J Maxx store with several options for baby/kids, men and women, and the home. I am always pleased with their purse/bag and shoe sections. there is always a ton to choose from and you cannot beat the prices! The checkout line does move quite slow however. I'm able to come here during my lunch break at work and I usually leave with something in hand. In my experience it's been clean and organized with fully stocked shelves and racks. read more

let me say, maybe I'm losing my mind or getting old but i was being followed by what is either a weirdo or store security...In all the store visits i have ever made this the first time i felt profiled and singled put . If indeed this wss store security folllowing me i am very disapponted and never again visit one of these stores and I will tell others of my experience.. you tell me if its my imagination..This guy followed me across the entire store.. i mean litterally, I decided to walk across the entire store from men's all the way over to women's jewlery and glases. Guess who was following me !.. Is this how you treat customer JF maxx i wish you nothing but failure and banckruptcy... Even as I wrote this post this guy circled around me several times. Disappointed in the management at Eagan TJmaxx. My two friends and I stopped by on Wednesday night because it's all of our favorite stores. After looking around for a while, we ended up in the beauty section. We started to notice a bunch of workers staring at us and giving us bad looks. My friend told me she noticed as well and said she wanted to say something. I said let's just keep going this way and see if they actually are looking at us. They continued to stare and follow us, a group of four or five of them. It was like all of them closing in on us. We felt uncomfortable so we made our way to check out. The workers continued to follow us and I noticed one worker staring up and down at my friend very obviously. Customers started to notice and were looking at us. We then walked out and the same worker sarcastically said "have a good night girls" with a rude tone. We said you too, but my friend was upset and went back in to ask what the deal was. They accused her of stealing and said one of us told her "just put it in your purse" First of all, none of us stole anything or even thought we were acting suspicious. She told them she didn't take anything and showed her purse. The manager apologized non sympathetically and basically just said we thought you did so we therefore were suspicious. She came back outside to me and my other friend and a customer drove by and told us we should be ashamed of ourselves for stealing and called us little b******. She was swearing at us more but I don't remember it all. My other friend was upset after this and wanted to return her items because the workers created such a scene that made us look bad to even other customers when we didn't do anything wrong. We went in and said we were disrespected and offended by the way they handled it. We told them our side of the story and that we didn't want to come back again. The manager just looked us with a mad face and said sorry you feel that way but your friend looked like she was stealing. She said that she heard one of us say "steal it, steal it" This doesn't even match the story she told our other friend, and at no point did we say these things. No sincere apology for what happened. We said we get there is protocol if something is suspicious, but at no point should 5 workers circle in on us and follow us saying rude things on their microphones like "I knew it" as if they knew we stole something and smirking to each other with nasty remarks about us. Especially when they had it all wrong. Moral of the story, if this is Tjmaxx's protocol with suspicious shoplifting, something needs to be changed. One person should check out the suspect and ask them if they need help. If still suspicious, they should calmly ask them if they had taken anything so each party can find the truth and a resolution. read more

Every once in awhile, I will waste time wandering around a TJ Maxx, but this is by far the worst location I've visited. The store was a mess, with much of the inventory's packaging destroyed and taped back together, and the customer service was a joke. Not once was I asked if I needed help, but I did have a number of sales associates following me around the store from the moment I walked inside. They appeared to be blatantly following a number of other customers as well and giggling and laughing amongst themselves. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and uneasy--at one point before I realized what was going on, I thought one man in particular was trying to pick pocket me or take something out of my open purse. I mentioned this to my boyfriend and he mentioned something to the man, and he ignored us and walked away, but continued to trail us throughout the store. When we were ready to leave, we were waiting in line and another man "mistakenly" bumped into me--twice. My boyfriend questioned if he was an employee and the kid sheepishly admitted that he was. Honestly, I almost walked out a few times without making my purchase, but decided to buy my few items and just leave so the trip wasn't a complete waste of time. Whomever is the store manager here needs to learn a thing or two about customer service and how to train their employees. This was extremely unprofessional and made me feel very vulnerable, particularly when I was just shopping like everyone else. The behavior is laughable when one realizes how these employees are acting around cheap products that have already been manhandled. I have never stolen--nor been accused of stealing anything--in my life, so the insinuation is not only insulting but extremely off base. For an employee to push against me in such a most obvious and bumbling way, is not ok. No customer should be physically accosted while shopping. Once I made my purchase, I was told thank you for coming and sent away with well wishes to return, but this location is the last place I'd visit again. I made a quick run through this store while waiting to meet some friends for sushi. I found a bunch of fancy purses including Dooney & Bourke, one of those blackhead extraction loops for at-home facials, and lavender essential oil for $6! Maybe I just got lucky the day I came in to score a great selection, but I was really happy about the lavender oil because I ran out of mine at home and needed to restock. I am a frequent buyer from TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Love them! However this location in Eagan is not the best with customer service. I wanted to return a dress that just didn't fit right. I lost the receipt- my bad. But this has happened before and I'm okay with store credit- I will use it. The dress had its tags on and the elderly woman who works there saw a couple pieces of fur or hair and kept asking if I wore it. I said no- just tried it on at home. They would not let me return it. Mind you it was less than $20. Not a huge loss for them at all since they can sell it still..not impressed with customer service. read more
