I imagine greeters and cart-wranglers at your local Walmart might have a very different perspective on their employer's aggressive business practices than your hipster friend who makes annual pilgrimages to the Apple store to line up for the latest iPhone. So I don't feel guilty shopping at Walmart, and when I'm in this store doing transactions at the money services counter, I'm glad I can also shop for some less expensive alternatives to things I'd otherwise get at Costco or Target. But the main reason I'm there is for the money services, and I have come to notice a lot of professionalism from the crew that works that counter. They have a complicated set of duties and they get through them with diligence and intelligence. I've witnessed them dealing with a broad array of difficult situations and I'm impressed by the wisdom and maturity with which they represent their end of this world. But the parking lot terrifies me.

I only saw a fraction of the box stores and food joints here. I enjoyed being here that I returned to the former store a day later. Barnes & Noble is one of the better ones that I have been to. There were lots of items on sale. While browsing, I got a free drink sample from the cafe. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Pier 1 is still there. Sadly, it will be closed soon. There is liquidation sale happening as I write this review. I also enjoyed visiting TJ Maxx. It has the largest selection of Kipling bags that I have ever seen. Prices are good on quality items. Lunds & Byerlys is the supermarket that anchors this plaza. It is huge! I will need to check it out down the road. There are eateries, too. Wild Buffalo Wings, Panda Express, and Panera Bread are some of the names that I saw while I was here. I have been told that Eagan Promenade had a water fountain in the summertime. I'd have to return when it's warmer to admire it. There is plenty of parking. I will definitely come back and check out more of it. (107)

For example, a beautifully decorated large cake that serves 24 is only $20. Also, you can't beat their self checkout on their app; it's SO fast and convenient. But if you need to speak to a customer service representative, the lines can get pretty long. When we compare Costco vs Sam's, they are so similar to each other, so if we're getting large quantities of things, I use both of their apps to compare prices before buying. At Costco, I prefer the prepared foods and their milk jugs more than Sam's. But I like Sam's baked goods and rotisserie chicken more than Costco. Both Sam's and Costco have tires, pharmacy, cafe, and optical; they are very similar. Like all warehouse bulk places, prices are usually lower but selection is hit or miss.

However; I also love coming randomly throughout the year to get updated clothing items. I typically like to check out under Armour and Nike, the Columbia store also has a separate outlet location as well. Recently, I feel like prices haven't been nearly as good as they used to, but in this economy, who can blame them. I would love to see a little bit more variation in the food court, it's mostly Asian cuisines and Cinnabon. All delicious but would love to see some more options. There's a ton of parking, but if you come on a busy weekend, you may not notice and still have to park far away. Bummed to see some recent retailers, leaving, they've been replaced with stores that my opinion were is great. Overall, a decent shopping trip, it's also in a great location. There's plenty of other stores/eating nearby. I recommend checking out the Twin Cities premium outlets if you haven't been there before.

There is tons of parking. I saw some nice tops and sweaters. I went to try on a couple of sweaters in a fitting room, which was clean and spacious. There were hooks to determine whether I had to have the item, if it goes back on the rack, or if I'm still thinking about it. Frankly, the sweaters that I was trying on weren't that flattering on me, so I had to put them back. This store has an amazing selection of PopSockets. I've never seen anything quite like it. They were all on sale. I saw regular ones that I am familiar with. You can get just the tops and swap them out. There was a cute donut enamel one. There were also fancy jewelled ones. I bought the purple jewelled one because it was pretty in my favourite colour. I liked the travel section. There were nice luggage pieces and accessories. There was an aisle of discounted watches and bracelets. I spent some time looking at everything. There was a bracelet with an infinity symbol as a charm that I knew a friend of mine would love. I went to pay at the checkout. I collected Kohl's reward points through the app on my phone. The cashier was helpful and patient. I used a credit card to pay. All was great. There was plenty of parking on a Sunday morning. I parked fairly close to the main doors and walked in. The shoe department was staring at me. The main reason why I am not a huge fan of Marshalls is due to the lack of size 11 women's shoes. I saw a cool pair of grey Converse sneakers. They weren't in my size. Frankly, I couldn't find my size in any women's shoe style. The good news is that the other departments made up for this deficiency. I loved the luggage section where I was impressed at how light luggage is becoming. My current piece of luggage seems archaic compared to the ones that I was looking at. The women's clothing section was good. I liked the variety and size organization. The prices were decent, too. This store is a Marshalls-HomeGoods combo. It means that you can shop at both stores without setting foot outside to go into the other store. It's convenient and cool. The washrooms are in the far left corner of Marshalls. This Macy's is huge!…read more I don't typically shop at Macy's much (or any bigger retail store like this really) but we happen to find parking near this wing of MOA. I could see Macy's being a one stop shop, they sell a bit of everything; furniture, home goods, clothes, toys, snacks, cosmetics, jewelry, etc. They almost always have some sort of sales going on & you can find some good deals here or there. We stopped at the pandora counter (yes, inside of the Macy's). We were able to peacefully look around without anyone greeting us or pushing us to buy. However we then made the mistake of walking through the perfume department. They were a very pushy about selling, EVERY perfume was their last bottle. Macy's is known for being a fragrance HQ. They have many scents you can't find in store anywhere else. So it's nice to be able to go in a smell something before you drop money on it. They also do refills on certain perfumes which is nice to save money & reuse your bottle. I love perfume but I can only take so many different smells before it starts to give me a headache. Every counter wanted use to smell 3-4 different perfumes which was a bit much. Like I said before they offer so much here. Worth a browse AND they have Tii Cup on the 3rd floor of the store!!

The line wasn't that long when we went and the hallways were well lit and there wasn't too much crowding. We didn't even make it to two of the floors but man they have everything you could want. My first question to my friend was, "Is there anything that MOA doesn't have?!" The answer was I'm not sure but let's check it out! The food court was pretty well lit and stocked. They had real plants and I was shocked how well maintained everything was. The layout of the building is strategically laid out for a seamless shopping experience. I was incredibly impressed. The only store that you may need to plan for was the Lego store which only let in a certain number of people. I'm definitely glad I was able to try this while I was visiting!

Mall of America Review…read more Dates: 10/10-10/12/2026 Location: Bloomington, Minnesota just off Killebrew Dr. Rating: 8.5/10.0 Just outside Minneapolis, right across the street from the airport (Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport) sits the largest shopping mall ever constructed in North America. Owned by the same company who owns West Edmonton Mall in Canada, and American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Mall of America boasts over 520 retail outlets and at least four central food courts. Many retail stores are well-known yet some are unique or rarely seen in malls. The real allure of the mall is for the kids, and it features a massive indoor theme park, Nickelodeon Universe, and an aquarium called Sea Life. Sea Life is hands-on, featuring animals one can touch or hold. The theme park is home to the world's only indoor hi-speed roller coaster. The coasters are not tame either, they are just as raucous as you would expect in an outdoor park. One can walk through the park without buying admission, as each ride requires its own ticket, though the mall itself is admission free. The Mall has early opening hours and late closing so one can "walk the mall" if so desired, before the stores open and after many close. The mall itself is a maze but there are landmarks to help guide you. A full-size movie theater is featured on the fourth floor and as a plus, Minnesota has no state sales tax on clothes or shoes which makes shopping a bit easier. Overall, I rate the Mall of America an 8.5/10.0 on attractions.
