We LOVE Sam's Club! Prices are usually low, so you get a lot of value. I especially love the bakery and love buying cakes for special occasions. For example, a beautifully decorated large cake that serves 24 is only $20. Also, you can't beat their self checkout on their app; it's SO fast and convenient. But if you need to speak to a customer service representative, the lines can get pretty long. When we compare Costco vs Sam's, they are so similar to each other, so if we're getting large quantities of things, I use both of their apps to compare prices before buying. At Costco, I prefer the prepared foods and their milk jugs more than Sam's. But I like Sam's baked goods and rotisserie chicken more than Costco. Both Sam's and Costco have tires, pharmacy, cafe, and optical; they are very similar. Like all warehouse bulk places, prices are usually lower but selection is hit or miss. read more

Literally the worse experience at the sams club gas station. Tired calling in for the guys name, they did not pick up. You really really need to hire people that want to work there, are motivated and peaceful. This assbag guy rushed me out of spot, as if thats anything smart to do. My app was acting up, i told him i didnt see you by the office, & he cursed at me and rushed my service saying "f*ck i hate people today" Sir, its nobodies fault but your own that you are stuck working that miserable job. This made me wish AI steps in, he would be out a job and one more person wouldn't have to deal with those idiotic lines. I dont blame them, i blame him. It was an older man in his 60s-70s. He was a fat stocky jerky guy with glasses. Kinda looks like albert einstein. White mustache, whiter hair. Learn to treat people with the same respect they treat you with. I literally live down the block, walking distance from this sams club. I will do everything in my power to make sure you get written up and/or fired for this. Whats so hard about showing the people who help your check some common decency?? This incident occurred at 12:16 pm. I had just got out of dialysis and really needed to put gas in my car. I thought i have a sams club, why not? Its way cheaper. Wrong, i got cursed at, the guy was screaming at me to move my car because i was "taking too long to fuel" it was literally only 2 minutes into me trying to pay for the gas. What a real dirttbag, i just got out of dialysis, as if thats not hard enough to deal with 3x a week, lets throw in a belligerent assman to curse at you and help rush you out the line. Good items and foods to buy. My family and I like foods, toothpastes and toothbrush heads replacement. I can notice sale tax on receipts increased to 8.125% that surprised me badly (I know I am not blaming on this store...I felt sorry for this store). :( I never seen newest sale tax before. This review is for the store/liquor/tires/gas as a whole. The store itself isn't that bad, although I'd prefer to not give my money to the Waltons. They seem to occasionally have a decent selection and their stock seems to be a bit less "rifled through" looking. The liquor store has a fairly standard selection of big name national brands and almost enough craft stuff to make most content and the prices are reasonable. The tire and battery seems a bit sketchy, but what shop doesn't? I've only ever cash-carried batteries from here, but there always seems to be the obligatory disgruntled customer at the tire and battery counter. I wouldn't expect any less, especially from a big-box store. And now for their gas... the gas discount used to be one of the biggest draws for membership. If you've driven by in the last 6 months or so, you'd tend to agree with me. I've lost count of the number of times I've drove by intending to buy gas, and kept driving past because the gas station was so backed up that I couldn't even get close to it. If you don't feel like waiting between 30-60 minutes in the most disorganized queue you've ever seen so you can brawl over the one pump out of two that is still working, I'd suggest skipping the gas. All in all, if there's one reason we won't be renewing our Plus membership and taking our business down the road it'll be the gas station. read more

The Optical Department at the Eagan Sam's Club is fantastic! They have the nicest, most helpful staff of any place I've ever bought glasses. I bought a prescription pair of sunglasses, and a regular pair of glasses. They couldn't have been better to work with. In fact, I actually left my purse there by mistake, and they immediately contacted me. They had it safe in the office. My husband and I will always go to the Sam's Club Optical Department in Eagan. Friendliness and efficiency are top on my list and besides, I LOVE my glasses as well!! read more

My family loves this Sam's Club. It is kept clean and the employees there are all very friendly and courteous and I always see many smiles on their faces. I appreciate how open the aisles and checkout lines are compared to Costco where a larger person or pregnant person would not be able to fit butt to butt checking out. The Scan and Go is awesome and allows my family to check out without waiting in line, unlike the terrible cramped lines at Costco. I also appreciate how the customer service dept is conveniently located and open layout compared to Costco's cramped customer service area. In my experience from visiting Costco vs Sam's Club, Sam's really seems to make the customer's shopping experience in the store a priority compared to Costco's cramped chaos. This review is for the tire shop whom never answers the phone. I called at many different times with the same result. Last time I visited the store side I was leaving and saw a couple of the tire associates standing around their desk area. I called the main store number, pressed 3 for the tire department and guess what, they didn't answer the phone. I had tires replaced and have had an issue with one of them. I can't say if it's fault of the tire, possible nail/screw or an installation issue but I can not seem to get an opportunity to get the vehicle back in. Every time I stop in they are full and clearly trying to get a hold of them by phone isn't a viable option. I can say to some other reviews I have experienced the same poor service and in many cases just down right rude. Sam's seems to run this department very thin so I can to some degree understand the workers visible frustrations. I have two vehicles and will never use Sams again even though they are a block from my job, it's more of a hassle on any follow up, rotations, etc that you may need. From my experiences the savings are not worth all the hassle. read more

It's been over a month long process for me to get four new tires on my car, and then have a leak issue resolved (it's still leaking, and they can't/won't fix it). TL;DR: The people there are completely incompetent. If you value your time and car, do not go to this shop. Full details (it's a long story, I've had a month long struggle with these people): - Ordered my tires online on 11/15. Was told they'd be in around a week later, and to call to schedule an appointment then. Tires arrived on 11/21, I called to schedule, and was told they're scheduling over TWO WEEKS out. I couldn't get in until 12/7. I understand it's their busy season, so I let that slide -- but why not schedule people when the tires are ordered instead of when they arrive? Unfortunately we received snow on 12/5 and there was nothing I could do. - I showed up on 12/7 at my appointed time, and they told me they're currently an hour behind cause the guy in front of me hasn't shown up yet, so they can't get me in. What? Why are we waiting for a guy who's over an hour late? Why not take my car in now? So I Uber'd to work, as I couldn't wait however long it would take for them. - Within 45 minutes, I get a call saying that I left the wrong car key behind. Um, no, I didn't -- there's only one key to the car and you have it. Turns out they couldn't figure out how to unlock the car door (you stick the key in and turn, and if it doesn't work, turn it the other way). At this point I'm wondering if these are real mechanics. They said they'd call back if it didn't work so I can bring them the fob. - I did not get a call back, at all -- even to tell me if the car was done. I ended up calling five hours later for a status update, and they said it's now done, but didn't have time to call me. So, what would you have done if I didn't call, just hold onto my car overnight? - I was too frustrated to even speak to a manager, and just happy to have my car back with winter tires, so I let all of this go. That is, up until a week later, that I come out to a flat tire on my car. Turns out that the rear-driver side has a slow leak. For a WEEK STRAIGHT I called and called and called the Tire & Auto -- NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONES. It defaulted out to Membership Service Center, who continually would "take a message and have them call me back". I *NEVER* received a call back. - Eventually I went into the store in-person and demanded I speak to a store manager, and either get it resolved NOW or have the tire refunded. They went and got a 'mechanic' who said that they don't prioritize phone calls, and even forget if people are on hold (great service tip), so if I wanted help I should've come in to begin with. Thanks for that insight into your work ethic. - They got me in the next morning (today, 12/28). Even though my car was the first one on the schedule, and I left it there, it took them over three hours to call me back. They said the valve stem was leaking, so it'd be a $5 part to fix. Fine. Should be done in 45 minutes. Great. - Go to pick it up, and it turns out that it wasn't the valve stem, that the sensor is cracked, and they don't have that part in stock SO THEY CAN'T EVEN FIX THE LEAK. They literally took my car for three hours for NOTHING. How does a shop that ONLY DOES TIRES not have this? - From 11/15 to 12/28 for me to still have one tire that needs to be filled up twice a day, and they can't do anything about it. Luckily I have a car pump and can do it at home, but other people might not. Needless to say, I'm never going through this shop again. The value of discounted tires does not compare to the headache and work I have to go through to have a car with decent tires. I will have the sensor replaced at a reputable mechanic who won't play games with me. I would recommend you do the same. read more

Seriously, they had numerous idled self serve checkouts they could have used and maybe when the line to leave the store is 100 people deep they could fast track the receipt checking. Update to the review, we went to customer service to which openly admitted that Brandi 1) did not do the purchase the correct way 2) did not disclose the correct information 3) should have just let customer service handle it instead of completing the transaction on our phone herself. We received $5 cash thanks to the help of the gentleman at customer service but want to make sure that just because someone (in this case Brandi) says to trust them doesn't mean they know what they're doing. I think that the entire interaction was completely unprofessional and hope that Brandi is not still trying to sweep issues under the rug instead of allowing customers to report to the proper authorities or departments for their concerns. read more

During this Covid 19 era, it's imperative that all shopping carts be sanitized. It's certainly not happening at Sam's Club, Eagan. Last week, I went to the store and saw customers returning carts to a cart storage area in the lobby area. They were not being sanitized. Without a cart, I walked into the store where an attendant was stationed with paper towels and a sanitizer bottle. I asked her why she wasn't out in the lobby area sanitizing the carts. She said people "are supposed to bring them in" then she'll wipe them down. I commented that sanitizing the carts after people had already handled them made no sense. She shrugged and said she's just doing what she's been instructed. I left a note for the store manager inquiring about the policy. I never got a response. This past Friday, I stopped by Eagan Sam's Club and the situation wasn't changed. The "word" of poor sanitation must have gotten around. The store was virtually devoid of customers. I immediately drove over to the nearby Costco, where all carts were sanitized and the store was packed with shoppers. read more

This is for tire service only. The new "mananger" is one of the rudest woman I have ever encountered. I made an appointment for tires change as I do every season, I get a call that my tires were "too for them to do". Which is fine I had another set in the garage, I bring them in and after about half an hour they tell me they can't do it because I didn't purchase them there. My husband took over at this point. He let them know we have been getting our tires done here for 5 years with out issues. The new manager proceeds to tell us that "Dylan was fired due to not following process" . What place of business throws their employees under the bus line this, and you even do around making accusations by name of old employees? Not to mention they wasted our whole day. If this was their policy why not tell me when I made the appointment? I pulled up our old records to show here it was not just "Dylan" but she proceeded to tell us that all of these employees were fired or quit ... that wasn't our point... I don't care who was fired, I was showing that we had been loyal customers of Sams for years and we had never had an issue before. As we leave we can hear the "manager" and the other woman mechanic talking crap about us. How nice, we have been loyal customers of Sams club with a business account for over 15 years! i paid $100 for a plus membership to get $15 off my prescription. They ripped me off. Now they won't let me get my $15 off a month of my prescription, claiming they aren't discounting controlled substances anymore. Just a way for them to rip people off even though they're rich, because their taxes are going up. So they ripped me off my $100. The pharmacy is great, but they are closed Sundays & if you lose your sleep medication on a Saturday evening which they close at 6, you don't sleep for 2 nights on your vacation you paid to enjoy. read more

I have always wanted to be a housewife which is probably why I love big box stores. They let me buy things at a discount...and a lot of it. So I can think I feed my four kids, two dogs, and hunky husband. But...I'm single, so it's just a fantasy for now. With that said, I really like this location. It's generally clean and the layout within the store is simple enough. I especially like the meat/seafood section. There is usually a pretty good selection and they are fresh. I also like the fresh squeezed at only $6.98 - Costco doesn't have that, so it is a point of differentiation. As for the fruit/veg, I think this location is comparable to Costco. My only complaints is that the workers here sometimes have off days (grumpy much?) and the setup to get gas is kind of odd. You have to go around this weird roundabout and it really creates congestion at times. I want to get my cheap gas & go...not wait an extra 5 minutes for people to navigate through. read more

Kaylie the Club Manager and Fairs frontline manager did not empathize in regards to my frustration. For being managers they could have CARED LESS. I would Get better treatment at TARGET. I explained to them that I have come 4 days in a row to try to get gas since no one is picking up the phone. Her explanation was that they are getting tons of calls. Tires, no problem! Disclaimer - I hate dealing with anything that has to do with my car - oil changes, repairs, buying tires, buying a car, heck, even filling the gas tank. Well, I needed tires. The car is almost 6 years old and it's time. I reluctantly save up the money for new tires. Because I'm cheap, but want good quality, I finally decide to pull the trigger and choose Sam's. We go in around 11:15ish on a Saturday. The store is crazy busy, but the tire department isn't overwhelmed. They do not take appointments, so we're in luck! I choose the tires, get rung up, gulp and try to catch my breath on the price. I'm"m told about 45 minutes. We leave, run a couple of other errands, come back around noon and walk around the store. About 12:15 we head back. They are done, the old tires disposed of, and off we go. All in all, a good tire buying experience for someone sheepish about big purchases. I did not feel any pressure to upgrade or get charged extra for 'premium air' or some BS like that. You can buy what they have or not buy it, real simple. Went back the next day (ugh) to have the lug nuts re-torqued - not even sure what that means, but I was in and out in 5 mins. read more

Our school bought a whole bunch of treats for a carnival activity coming up - extra complicated and stressful because we have to be Covid safe - and I completely screwed up my self-checkout and forgot some items (but paid for them). This Eagan location has a Petrol Station, and a Decent selections of foods and merchandises for all kind of people. I'm very disappointed in the tyres department. They can not seem to keep good people here. I purchased many set of tyres at this location, and now, I think i'm taking my tyres business else where. Tire Department = Horrible! They told me tires would take up to 2 months to come in, and they "couldn't" call a different sam's club to see if they were in stock anywhere else. They told me since I had the warranty they would be covered in full, they wrote "All Paid" on my receipt, when I got there they wanted payment. The guy said I must have misunderstood what "All Paid" meant, even though I had 2 other witnesses there and asked him "Are you sure I won't owe anything" I didn't want them to install the tires, so instead of removing the installation fee from my bill they wrote on there that I paid it in cash, which I did not. Seemed really shady. Very disrespectful, very rude people. I went to the Sam's Club in Shakopee the following week. They had the tires in stock the whole time. Their automotive (Tire changing) is the worst in town. The rest of the store is fine. I had to come to this Sam's club 4 times leaving my job, during the lunch hour, to just change my tires. Before my tires were blown, I decided to go to Firestone and they changed my tire in one appointment. The problem was, I ordered the tires online. On the 1st day, I came to the store to make appointment because no one picks up the phone. At that time, I paid. Then, on 2nd day, I came on my appointed time. On that day, the cashier (very old white man) could not figure out if I paid or not. So, he told me to get a receipt from the Customer service. I waited 45 minutes to get the receipt. I showed him the receipt. He read "this is not the actual receipt" on it. He asked me to go back and get the original receipt. My lunch break was up, I had to return back to work. On the 3rd day, the cashier (Somali American woman) came and told me that the tires that I ordered online were sold to somebody else. She said that I must wait until another shipment comes. I told her, I've already been here 3 times... my tires are about to blow. She gave me another appointment. On the 4th appointment, another cashier (a young white man) still told me that my tires were not there. That's when I gave up and went to the Firestone. At Firestone, they changed my tire on the 1st day they gave me the appointment. They also balanced my wheels and aligned the steering wheels. read more

Selection and pricing are very good. Gas prices are always great! Tire department often seems understaffed, but I don't use it often, so perhaps I'm not the best person to gauge/rate that department. Customer service is generally knowledgeable & friendly, but there is the occasional missed opportunity due to unconcerned or unresponsive staff---you know who you are----but again, that's not the norm. This is for the optical department: I came with my new prescription in hand to get a prescription pair of sunglasses. No other customers were there at the time. I picked out some frames and the employee got really confused about the frames: where were they on her computer? I informed her I got them off the shelf she was sitting in front of, browsing the internet prior to my arrival, so I could not help her with that. There was further confusion about what shade of sunglass lenses I could get and so on. I called a few days later and they had not ordered the glasses yet. They talked at me over the phone for awhile but eventually asked me if they could give me the frames I had picked out. (What?) I told them that would be fine. read more

This location is great. The general manager is always super nice and welcoming and interacts with the customers. She reminds me of the old GM of Woodbury, Mary Goulette who was awesome. Although there is a particular lady at the membership desk who is a bit abrasive when you try to return things or get help (so I try to get someone else to help me). For long lines and not enough cashiers get the Scan and Go app! it's great and saves you a ton of time and SUPER EASY to use. read more

I always order online for pick up at the store, and every time I go to pick up, I'm waiting long periods of time. I check in on the app before walking in the store and I have used the kiosk inside the store, no different either way. I have young kids and rather not have to shop with when I have the option of ordering and picking up. And each time the employees are just walking around and not offering to help, just look and keep on going. I might have to try another Sam's Club and drive the distance.
