08/09/2026 #02766 Cliff and Rohm Rd…read more I checked in for a vaccine appointment and to pick up prescriptions, there were only two people in line behind me and one in front of me when a person disparaged a loud negative annoying gasp, Really, why? I was soon called up and spoke with Maria and RPH Paul to discuss my identity etc. Several minutes later and to my right the loud person explained to Shelly you should have received a FAX from California for prescriptions, well at the time the store had not received the the FAX. The customer was louder and more disgruntled. Like I said the customer was loud so I practically everyone in the store could hear. RPH Paul was to my left and said unknowingly to the customer to my right sir please lower your voice or I will call the police. I'M A GIRL replied the customer! Paul's view point was obstructed by employees and computer screens. The unsatisfied customer was still irate and wanting prescriptions and again slammed the palm of the hand on the counter top saying loudly, I'M A GIRL! I guess from Paul's point of view, the customer was wearing a mask and had an obstructed point of view. The person soon left after Paul said I will call the police. Paul, Shelly, Maria, LeAnn work diligently and hard but are always polite, professional, and experts in their fields.

I also love their one-hour photo service - best in the business. However, I truly hate the customer service experience from their pharmacy. I get so frustrated trying to pick up medications for my parents. It's been so consistently bad, that I had them move all of their prescriptions to Hy-Vee which is farther from our house. I would not recommend buying fresh florals, make up or vitamins here unless they're on sale, they're usually overpriced. We also get our vaccination shots here sometimes, I find it very convenient and you can easily schedule online.

I never, ever write reviews about places; in fact, this is the first time I have ever written one…read more But I feel strongly about what I am going to write. I went to this pharmacy for about three months simply because it was the closest pharmacy to my house. I tolerated the issues I had with them for a while, but eventually my patience broke. The pharmacist, Jeff, is easily in of the top five most rude people I have ever encountered. His attitude makes it seem like me getting prescriptions filled at his pharmacy is a hassle for him. On top of that, whenever I ask a question about a medication (I don't have a pharmacy degree like him, obviously), he makes me feel incredibly stupid for not knowing the answer to the question I asked. The day I stopped going there, I went in to get a refill that they said was ready when I called. Whenever I got to the counter, they told me that the doctor needed to verify that I could receive it. I was in the process of asking whether I needed to call my doctor or if he did, and he cut me off and said (in a very irritated and stuck-up tone of voice), "Obviously I'M not going to call 'YOUR doctor for you," and turned his back on me. There were so many other ways he could have said in that situation, but that is how he chose to handle my question. Long story short, if you are looking for a pharmacy and considering this one, I wouldn't recommend going there unless you like being blatantly disrespected every time you go get your medications.

The male pharmacist that works at this place is the absolute nastiest, rudest person I've ever…read moretalked to. with all the horrible reviews that have been given about this exact same person I have no idea why this pharmacy lets him stay there. Is he related to the owner? Is he the actual owner? I cannot imagine any employer would keep a person like this on their staff with how horrible he is to people. Every time I've called there for my 90-year-old father, he is so extremely mean and disrespectful and horrible. He also treated my father horribly today, per usual. I mean, if you're just a horrible person and mean by nature, at your place of employment, you at least have to be neutral and/or civil, you can't just be downright nasty to actual customers. As a result, my father will be moving to a new pharmacy and I will continue to funnel people away from this place because of the horrible pharmacist they have there. This comment is directed, strictly towards the owner: The pharmacist that you have on staff is ruining your business. You are losing customers because of the way he treats people. Minnesota is supposed to be such a nice place, however, no one would ever think that if the only person they ever met from Minnesota was this pharmacist, they would think it's the worst place in the world. If you care about your business and you care about the treatment of your customers, I would suggest you truly reevaluate keeping this person on staff. In fact, for the record, the entire West seventh community talks badly about this pharmacist because anyone that's gone to the pharmacy has very unfortunately had to deal with him so it's common knowledge that he's just awful. I really hope you do something about this at some point. As the owner, I would suggest that you even call there posing as a customer to see how horrible you will be treated by this person. If ever you get rid of him, and that is made known, we will consider coming back, but until then, never.

I decided to try ordering through them so that I did not have to drive to my vet every 2 to 3 weeks. I called them to make my first order, and it was very easy, and I received the bottle in the mail. Once I opened the packaging, I noticed my medication was in a very cheap, flimsy bottle that had some sort of Saran Wrap or plastic wrap around the top to prevent it from leaking, and as I unraveled it, there was this gooey white substance on it. The first day, trying to open the bottle, I twisted it, and while I twisted the flimsy bottle, a giant glob of goop shot out onto my table. That was the medication. I managed to get it back into the bottle and noticed that when you screw the lid on, it does not lock in place, it just keeps turning and leaks as you shake it. When I was getting the same medication from my vet, it came preloaded in syringes, and that was in a nice, leak-proof container. There was never a leak. I tried dispensing this mix into a few syringes, so if we were out, I did not have to bring around the bottle. Well, I quickly learned that their mixture makes the rubber in syringes get soft and stretchy and breaks it down. I was low on medication due to their cheap leaky bottle so I called in today for a refill. I told them the whole situation about how the bottle leaks and how its flimsy and I tried so see if I could get an order of the syringes like the ones that come with it with no rubber and because im in the process of a change of address I was trying to work out options and the got everything setup with first person. I called back to finally get everything and the second person was completely rude. I don't know how companies hire people like this to work in customer service. No wonder this place only has 3.8 stars. The issue is not the business, it's your front-facing people representing you. I hung up the phone and quickly called my vet and told them I will never do business with Bloomington Drug again. I would rather drive 30 minutes to 1 hour every 2 weeks than have my medication shipped to me and be helped by rude, disgraceful people. I have read many reviews stating rude staff, and well maybe it's not everyone there, but all it takes is one. Also, I'm not going to spend money on a product that comes in a medical container that, when you shake it, the thing leaks. That does not sound very sterile to me. If my container leaks I wonder what other medical products have quality control issues. I will be speaking more about this with my vet. For more information feel free to contact me. I made the story and review shortly so it would fit.

My veterinarian recently prescribed medication to help manage my small dog's cough. After reviewing…read moreX-rays, the vet advised me to start the medication, Tussagon, immediately because the imaging showed that my dog's trachea wall appeared thinner, which could indicate a risk of collapse. After several unsuccessful attempts to refill the prescription at my local CVS, I was instructed to contact Bloomington Drug and Gift. When I called, a pharmacist (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) collected preliminary information to create a profile and told me the medication would be ready the following morning at 9:00 a.m. When I called the next morning, the experience became confusing and frustrating. The staff member I spoke with seemed unsure who had previously taken my information and said there was no order in the system. I was then quickly transferred to another pharmacist. When I asked if they could locate my profile, it was eventually confirmed, though the interaction felt tense. When I asked if they could determine who had entered my information, I was told they could not and that they would need to locate the pharmacist I had originally spoken with. During this conversation, I was told that I was giving "attitude," when in reality I was simply trying to explain how the situation had unfolded before being transferred again. Another pharmacist then took the call and asked about my prescription. I explained the veterinary clinic and location that issued it, but before I could finish, I was told that if specific information was missing, they would not be able to fill the prescription. I asked what information they had so we could review it together before I made the trip to the pharmacy. I also explained that the veterinarian's full name and license number were listed on the prescription. I was told they would still need to physically see it. When I arrived at the pharmacy, my prescription was denied because my date of birth was not written on the prescription for my dog. I was extremely confused by this requirement. I even offered to present my Minnesota driver's license, but I was told that my date of birth had to be written directly on the prescription by the veterinarian. I was informed that the only solution would be to obtain a rewritten prescription. Unfortunately, when I later attempted to contact my local vet to resolve this, I discovered the clinic was closed that day due to being understaffed. Jeff, the final pharmacist who assisted me, did attempt to contact my veterinarian and the clinic, and I appreciate that effort. He also suggested that I visit the WellHaven clinic in Savage to see if they could rewrite the prescription. When I arrived and explained the situation, the staff at WellHaven were surprised that Bloomington Drug had been unable to fill the prescription. After making several calls, the veterinarian there helped identify another pharmacy where I could finally have the prescription filled. From my perspective, this situation seemed to come down to a rigid procedural judgment call that created significant barriers to obtaining medication that my vet said needed to start immediately. I later learned that the FDA does not require the pet owner's date of birth for a pet prescription. While I understand that pharmacies must follow regulations, it was confusing that there was no alternative way to verify my identity, such as using my Minnesota driver's license. Overall, the experience left me feeling exhausted, frustrated, and disappointed. When an animal's health is at risk, processes should help facilitate care rather than create unnecessary obstacles. This situation made me deeply concerned about how similar situations might affect both animals and people who rely on timely access to medication. Disappointed Customer

When I arrived, there was one person in front of me at the pharmacy register. I waited patiently. As soon as that customer was finished, the pharmacy technician told me they were closing for lunch. I explained that I had just received a notification from Walgreens to pick up my prescription, and there was no mention in either message that the pharmacy would be closed between 1:30 and 2:00 PM. Her response? "It's Saturday," said with a dismissive tone, as if I was supposed to know their lunch schedule. Then, right in front of me, she shut the pharmacy gate in my face while two other staff stood aside doing nothing. Not a single person made an effort to help--despite Walgreens being the one to ask me to come pick up my prescription. This was my first time at this location--and will definitely be my last. If this is how Walgreens treats its customers, I'll be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. It would've taken less than a minute to hand me my medication before closing. Instead, they chose to be rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.

I had underestimated how much Xibram (an anti inflammatory eye drop) I had left. I thought that I found out the hard way that I did not. I called the Medicine Shop, who promptly sprung into action, calling our pharmacy in San Francisco (going back and forth with Long's Drugs to get my prescription transferred and the insurance squared away so that I only had to pay $10.00 instead of the $160.00.) Dan Coski, the owner and pharmacist, was very zealous in squaring everything away. Before I knew it, my drops were ready and I was on my way, one happy, satisfied customer. Everyone is very kind and caring, definitely people persons. They are mainly a pharmacy, as they have a couple shelves of toiletries, compression socks, and other pharmaceutical necessities. They take the time to answer any questions that you may have. So, for friendly, caring, efficient, and knowledgeable service, The Medicine Shop cannot be beat. Keep up the good work Dan and staff.!
