When I walked in I was shocked by how unorganized the store looked. I needed a phone charger and the area where they were located was in disarray. I had to get someone to assist me and she had a difficult time finding prices and had to go to the register to check. She had to get on the floor and extend her arm a distance to get the item I needed. She was really nice and helpful. I did suggest that someone organize the area. read more

This used to be my go to on breaks, working downtown St. Paul. Super inconvenient now that EVERYTHING has a lock on it. As if the employees weren't busy enough or hard to find for assistance, now you have to track someone down to unlock the refrigerator just to get a drink. read more

The store is absolutely filthy. Trash on the floor in every aisle. I have to wonder about cleanliness in the pharmacy when the rest of the store is such a mess. This has been my store for decades but I will be transferring my prescriptions to CVS. Such a shame to see how far downhill it has gone. read more

Second time in St. Paul and fingers crossed my last. Anyway both times have been to this Walgreens and both time it was cr*ckhead central. Store also is about 75% out of stock. It's so odd to see. Dear Walgreens, I'm breaking up with you. I have finally found a more caring pharmacy that treats me AND THEIR EMPLOYEES right. We've stayed together far too long and I can't take it anymore. You're let yourself go and your customers down. Your store's are too florescent and dingy under the surface. Corners of the floor are showing years of grime and tiles pulled up, shelves are beaten and worn. You've shut down most of the 24 hour stores and offer no after hours help. But the main reason is how terribly you treat your employees. I am wracked with empathy and guilt when I get my meds and I'm over it. You've monopolized the industry for far too long. I haven't been to this location but today there was too much snow and the streets haven't been plowed,so I asked my doctor to send my prescription to this location because I can walk here. Welp, I can walk here but they're closed. Certainly this would be understandable if staff couldn't get in because of the snow storm, but my neighbor said they've been closed for a few weeks because they were overrun with rats! I have a rodent phobia so now I can never go to this location. I'll always have the image in my head of rats running all over the merchandise. read more

Once again, Walgreens Prescriptions have failed. I ordered a refill of my prescription 10 days ago. There were refills available, I didn't receive any notice that there was a problem but still no refill. When I tried to call them to find out what the problem was, I waited on hold for 45 minutes, during which time I apparently didn't move up in the phone queue. Do they need to hire more people? Do they need to offer decent wages so someone might take the job? They must be able to do better than this read more

Wow! This Walgreens is so much nicer than the one near my home. I really like the selection and the fact that it's conveniently located. The cashier was so sweet in spite of her register acting up; professional and friendly. This will become my regular Walgreens as long as I'm working in Saint Paul. read more

My low rating for Walgreens overall is their continued DILUTION of the effective chemicals in our prescriptions by opting for cheaper and cheaper manufacturers!!! Prescriptions i take for asthma etc for years, are now SO ineffective i just suddenly QUIT and transferred everything to the good pharmacy at U of Mn campus (3). I like Fulton Street Main building lobby pharmacy also open saturdays 9-1 pm. Good bye Walgreens after NINETEEN years for the entire family!!! read more

Not a ton to say- it's a Walgreens. However... the front check out lanes are a bit chaotic. Maybe it's not necessarily the store layouts fault. Perhaps the deer in the headlight shoppers blocking the front lanes could move and or respond when the cashiers yell that they can help the next person. Not a hard directive. They carry the mini San Pellegrinos which is a plus. Deli express sandwiches, lunchables and Chuckwagons. (They still make those? It's quite crowded over the lunch hour. This walgreens is by far the worst ive ever been to!!...i live down town so its convenient for me to walk to, but its craziness when im there. Between managers named (AMPHONE) that can BARELY speak any english and acts like im stupid when i try to use coupons that are clipped to my card, and them running out of everything that they have on sale (of course they only get delivery ONCE a week, and ALWAYS after said such items are no longer on sale-of course), i dont know which is worse!!!!! The employees JIM, SONY, AND CJ are all top notch outstandung guys that take their job seriously and are always trying to put the customer first. But, most of the others are a total joke. With all of the business that the store gets, you would think they would have plans to expand this location, since it seems they're always constantly busy. They should also expand their hours to being a 24 hour store. read more

This is the closest Walgreens to my home, so I always think about going here first for prescriptions, cold remedies, and convenience items. The PROBLEM is that this location has limited hours and it's almost impossible to drive to. This makes it completely impractical for prescriptions, photo printing and other tasks where you need flexibility -- or to set a default/favorite location. During the times when This Walgreens is most convenient (lunch, just after work, etc.) it seems to be busy and lightly staffed. The pharmacy staff isn't as friendly, helpful, or available as staff at other locations -- and of course, that's the beauty of Walgreens.. You can always find another location. I'm thinking that CVS or Walgreens on Robert St may be my go-to location. read more

This store closed without warning. No notice via text or email that our prescriptions could not be picked up. The Walgreens so-called customer service couldn't say when it would reopen or why it was closed. Store was full of employees, none of whom were wearing masks. I've been a less than satisfied customer of Walgreens for years. This was the final straw. Save yourself the frustration and get your prescriptions somewhere reliable. read more

This Walgreens is awesome hands down. I have been going to this location for many years had no problem. The front staff treat me with lots of love and greet me every time. The only problem i have is the pharmacy. In 2015 the young pharmacist screw up my husband epilepsy medicine and i had to quickly switch to cvs. Recently i called and talked to rick he was my favorite but for some stupid reason he thought it was okay to cock a attitude with me over some pain medicine that i thought the doctor called in. Walgreens Pharmacy sharp practice. My doctor asked where to send the perscription. Walgreens, I said thinking that I could pick it up during my lunchhour. I turned up at the Pharmacy and the young pharmacist promptly handed me my perscription. She then informed me that my supplemental insurance was not accepted by Walgreens. (at this point, if I knew what was to come I should have asked for the perscription and taken it to a Pharmacy that accepts my supplemental) However, blissfully unaware I was told by the young pharmacist that she had run it through the computer and, not to worry, I was eligible for medicare one time payment for perscriptions. I paid up $1.25 for each perscription and left feeling well looked after. The letter from Medicare Limited Income NET Program ( administered by HUMANA) arrived a week later. Demanding the $122.91 that was paid by them to Walgreens on my behalf. I returned to Walgreens and asked the senior pharmacist to help me understand why I had received such a letter. He explained that, not to worry, I should just call medicare and choose a plan D. I thanked him and decided to follow his advice. When I called MEDICARE the support person told me that my suplemental coverage was equal to medicare part D and that I wouldn't need the medicare part D. He advised me to call the NET administed by HUMANA. I called 1-800-783-1307 numerous times and no one picks up the phone, nor is there a way to leave a message. Now I must cough up $122.91 for being unaware of how this sharp practice works. read more

This is MY Walgreens. I have lived downtown for 22 years and my only complaint with this store is that it is TOO small -- it serves not only those who live downtown but also those who work downtown and its inventory oftentimes runs out of advertised items. One can always ask for a "rain check" and when item is in, you can purchase at the advertised price. My understanding that a new expanded Walgreens is being planned to open as part of the new interior stores in the old Macy's location. The staff here is very helpful and goes out of their way to be of help to you.Store managers have always been pleasant and willing to be of assistance. I would think the only time they aren't is if there is nothing they can do to be helpful because of corporate policy The Pharmacy headed by Rick and Ryan is one of the best in the area -- would be nice if they could be open short hours on Saturday say until 2 or 3 pm. They know their customers by name (unlike CVS on Grand which didn't know me from adam every time I called to reorder or came in to order/pickup a prescription -- staff too busy to spend any time with you to get to know you. Very happy to be able to bring my prescriptions back to Walgreens). Yes, the checkout lanes in the front of the store are somewhat chaotic and that's because they don't have the room they need there, plus the fact that people don't know how to stand in line at EACH INDIVIDUAL REGISTER. I have no idea how this one line phenomena got started, but standing in one line and then going to an open register is ridiculous. When a store had 3 registers you stood in line at one of the 3 registers just like at the grocery store ...(don't see people standing in one line there do you????) I have never had a problem shopping here -- only wish they were bigger and had pharmacy hours on Saturday. read more
