Parking and gas station
Mikhala F.

At the recommendation of a fellow Yelper, I opted to try this location instead of the West End one this weekend - and I'm glad I did! I love Costco no matter what, but more parking and less busy on weekends is a huge plus. And this location has so much parking, I was in shock! I went on a Sunday afternoon and did it to myself, but this location still seemed less busy than the West End one. Same great selection, same unbeatable prices! The usual suspects and my Costco favorites are: Rotisserie chicken, hummus cups, applesauce packets, and samples while I shop :) The line for concessions was a bit shorter at this location when I went, and there were lots of folks taking advantage of the tables there. I didn't get gas this time, but the line looked shorter than the West End one usually is and was moving fast. Highly recommend if you're a weekend Costco warrior and get tired of the West End location business!

First time in this location! Not crazy parking lot like St Louis Park location. Busy store Love the $1.50 hot dog/soda combo! Also the great $4.99 rotisserie chicken!! Love Costco

I had a very pleasurable experience at this Costco. Prices are blockbuster and very good. I found almost everything that I wanted except grass fed ground beef but they had grass fed butter and sirloin strips. The isles were put together and they were clean! Great Costco

I mean - it's a warehouse selling bulk items. Clean enough on a Sunday night.

I guess I am not sure how to rate it. Nothing blew me away. It's the same deal with every box store - if you know your price per unit is when you'll know if you're getting a good deal or not. For example - watch the price of 35 cans of Diet Coke vs down the street at Target. Who is cheaper?- sometimes Target by a bit! Not sure about any 'Karen's' as from reviews prior. The employees I encountered were just fine. You'll find them ("Karen's") anywhere. Not sure how it's Costco's fault. Don't come in a state if you're emotional and have a tendency to eat your feelings. Now I have two huge tubs of Nutella to cry into ... that I probably, no really, didn't need... but hey my price per oz was a steal! (they we're on sale) Happy shopping.

Fresh Mussels

If you like fresh mussels...Costco has them for a great value. I am not even going to tell you the price because our friends are Costco members and actually bring them over for dinner... but I'm going to guess around $13 for 5 of us to enjoy.. which is just a crazy value. Pick up some canned tomatoes, garlic, shallots, broth, wine, salad and great crusty bread and you are all set for a cozy MN dinner.

It's mostly similar to other Costcos. Two things I appreciate are the carts have a slightly different, more kid friendly shape, and the spacing is slightly more roomy.

I love Costco, and this one is no different. It has a robust selection of goods, fair gas prices, and a nice tire pump.

Disorganized. Clutter on most aisle corners. Frequently found items without prices listed. Poor flow and items out of place.

What's cool is that I get an alert saying that it's running low. While in the Twin Cities, that alert popped up. My hybrid smartwatch was at 22% battery life. I had two options. I could revisit the Fossil store at the Eagan outlet mall and get it replaced there. The other option would be to find a place that sells a replacement battery. The latter was the better option. Get me back into that Fossil store and I'd probably get another smartwatch. I did a search and found this Walgreens three minutes away from the hotel by car. The next day, I went there after having breakfast. This Walgreens has a lot of parking. I backed my rental car into a spot and walked in. Even though I had never been to this store, the layout is typical for Walgreens. I headed over to the battery section to check it out. I wish that my local Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall had a decent battery section like this Walgreens. The last time I needed the same type of battery, they both let me down. I ended up finding it at Staples. I found the battery size that I needed immediately. I was elated! I also appreciated a battery sizer. You can bring your battery in and match it up to figure out the exact type. After finding what I needed, I did a lot of browsing. I got stuck in the Christmas sales aisle. I swear that I wanted to buy everything. The Nerds guys looked cute in their Santa hats. I contemplated getting flashing LED earrings to annoy folks around me. The small Squishmallows were adorable. I had to pass on everything, as I didn't have all that much space left in my luggage! However, I did get a small, cute M&M's Christmas tree LED gadget. It plays a Christmas tune and lights up. It was $2 and comes with milk chocolate M&M's The cashier was great. I entered my phone number to take advantage of collecting rewards towards a cash discount (I'm so close!). It was easy! I paid using a credit card. I got my watch battery and thanked him. I got into the car and actually did the watch battery replacement there. I just needed a quarter and some patience. Thank goodness the packaging wasn't horrible to take the battery out. I was thrilled that I didn't have to head back to my hotel room to get my small pair of scissors. My hybrid smartwatch was back in business. Yay! This Walgreens is now my favourite one in the Twin Cities. I'm continuing my drug store tour with every visit. (29)
