Walgreens Chanhassen Pharmacy: Rude Staff, Long Waits, and Zero Accountability…read more One of the worst pharmacy experiences I've ever had. My doctor sent my prescription at 2:30 p.m., and I didn't get a pickup notice until 7:00 p.m. When I arrived, the drive-thru line was completely backed up -- I sat for 45 minutes, trapped behind four cars. The pharmacy never answers the phone, so I called the store and was told to come inside because they were still open. I went in at 8:00 p.m., only to be told they were "done for the night," despite the long wait and the wrong information I was given. Then an employee snapped, "Ma'am, we are not McDonald's," and told me to go to another Walgreens. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I left without the medication I needed the night before Thanksgiving -- something that would've taken them two minutes to fill. And after looking at Yelp, it's clear this location has had years of negative reviews with no improvement. They obviously get enough business that they don't feel the need to fix anything. Avoid this Walgreens. Management needs to step in. I will definitely be finding another pharmacy.

Yesterday, I stopped there to pick up a gift bag while on the way to my folks' house for Father's Day. Here are my initial impressions: -Huge pharmacy that also includes a drive-through. -Super clean. -Well stocked. The card section is ginormous. -Friendly staff members that will ask you every five minutes if you're doing okay. I replied numerous times, "Yes I am! Thanks for asking!" -Ample parking spots. I think this may be the CVS of all CVSs, and when compared to other convenient stores, I have no problem giving this location all the stars.

And the poundage and price are on the bottom of all the packages meaning that every shopper has to pick them up, turn them over in order to determine the poundage and the price. Nasty.

I probably wouldn't be so annoyed if when I call to resolve an issue, I wasn't put on hold for 30 minutes, and if when I explain the issue I'm experiencing they didn't turn to being dismissive or blatantly blaming me. For example, a pharmacist told me I should've "added the new prescription to the Walgreens app" and I tried to refill the old one. I didn't add a prescription at all. I don't know who did, but it was added to my account without my input. That I find extremely frustrating.

I told her I had Texas family and there was an outbreak there and about my titer test. She said it was out of stock. I took off my mask and said, OK then. We decided to change over to Costco so picked up the last prescription this week. I checked out with Tequila and she was so nice and very quick! She was very busy yet friendly to everyone!!!!! I left there on Wednesday prepared to stay with Walgreens. The entire store felt different so maybe something has changed. We spend alot of money at this Walgreens and I was tired of the long wait, harsh attitiude, and lack of personal anything. Ugh. One more chance thanks to Tequila. I will up my rating when they hire more people like her. :)
