The Dain Shoppe - Fabulous bra sets!

Last year I had breast augmentation surgery to fix my asymmetrical breast ptosis.. brasserie…read moreshopping was always daunting for me and super embarrassing; I could never find a size I was comfortable wearing. Since my surgery I have been afraid of going to the impersonal Victoria's Secret stores because they've never made me feel comfortable in the past. My surgeon and his staff recommended the Dain Shoppe and I was extremely happy with my treatment! When I walked inside I was greeted with beautiful smiling faces of 4-5 ladies and I automatically felt warmly welcomed! Salomey ~ I hope you see this review because you are a brilliant gem and I must say again THANK YOU (for the 90th time lol). She brought me so many options and varieties of supportive bras because she took the time to size my chest perfectly. She took into account that I need a bra to support my newer breast size underneath my scrubs everyday. I didn't feel nervous at all and both she and Deanna made me feel 1000% comfortable and I am VERY delighted with all that I purchased from this lovely place. Cathy was a beaming ray of sunshine throughout my visit. I am grateful to have met her while she was helping out along with staff, I had no idea she was the owner and that made this place feel even more like a homely setting. I am so happy with my experience here, the brasseries are so exquisite and elegant. I cannot wait to try on form fitting swimsuits and lingerie in this extraordinary store filled with phenomenal women!

It's rare to find a shop that caters to women with a full figure with such style and care. I only wish they allowed appointments because the wait can be significant on the weekends.

If Yelp reviews could have titles, I'd call this one "The Life Changing Magic of Getting Dressed"…read moreand I give all the credit to Pam Etzin of An Eye For Detail. I'm a reluctant shopper. I don't mind spending money, but I do mind being assaulted by the presence of hundreds of items that I don't like and I don't want to buy. Shopping for clothing is particularly harrowing for me. The experience of "why shopping for womens' clothing sucks" is neatly summed up here: https://thecustomerblog.co.uk/2011/07/19/9-observations-on-the-retail-shopping-experience/ I'm also a lifelong unrepentant "tomboy". I'd much rather be galloping astride a tall Thoroughbred, donning my scuba gear or rummaging around an Army/Navy store than shopping for clothes or perusing fashion magazines. My style could probably be summarized as "paddock boots, jeans and a tank top". To make matters worse, I'm between sizes and had literally no idea how to dress this larger body, with an impending European vacation only weeks away. After a few failed shopping attempts I sent an SOS email to Pam, and it turned out to be the best investment I've made in myself in years. Within one week I went from staring blankly into my closet to being able to get dressed - looking great and hence feeling great! And it's such a relief not having to stress out about the upcoming vacation. That Pam loves her work is evident in her down-to-earth enthusiasm, boundless energy and insightful, productive shopping. She also has E.S.P. as while we were initially getting to know each other I was having trouble defining my "style" for reasons previously mentioned. Based on our conversation, her intuition and a few items of clothing I'd brought (we met at Lord and Taylors) she totally "got" what I was about. Then while I got situated in the (no judgement zone) fitting room, Pam went out on the floor, zipping through the racks - particularly the sale racks - and came back with armloads of clothes in my size and colors. Almost everything she picked was a hit. She also made suggestions for things I might have never considered but turned out to be great! Even though I was basically starting from scratch, she was very cognizant of budget - not only working with what limited items I had, but also making sure everything worked together - thus creating a wardrobe. I never knew shopping could be this much fun! Since I'm 30 lbs from my weight loss goal and don't want to spend a lot on clothes , our next trip was to TJMax. When I arrived, Pam had already "pre-shopped" and had loaded up a wagon. Once again, nearly everything was a home run! In short order, I walked out with two huge very affordable bags of beautiful clothes. This lady is worth her weight in gold. Being able to dress nicely despite being overweight makes a huge difference in self-esteem and confidence. Best of all, you don't have to be one of the 1% to work with Pam - she has an affordable tiered pricing structure and can work within anyone's budget. I went for a pricier package that includes a closet clean-out which hasn't happened yet, so I may have to edit this review. But I'm sure by the time Pam's done, my short-on-space NYC closet will be a Masterpiece.

I contacted Pam for help with putting together a new work wardrobe since I'm starting a new job…read moresoon. I'm a young professional in my 20's and I've never been particularly confident in my shopping abilities. Pam was the perfect person to provide guidance through this process. Shopping with Pam is an incredible experience. We were able to get through a few different stores during our time together because she's so efficient. She definitely got me out of my comfort zone, but in the best way. I ended up with some great pieces that I never would have picked out, but am so happy to have. I'm happy to say that I'll be able to start my new job feeling confident and comfortable with what I'm wearing, all thanks to Pam. I'd highly recommend her to everyone I know!!

This review is about the balloons!…read more This is my go to for blowing up helium balloons. They have an amazing selection - every color and every shape of a balloon that you can image. They are always well stocked and there is no shortage of colorful ribbons, weights and more. Staff is always friendly and helpful and balloon prices are fair. I often need balloons for work and for my kids and they can be WILDLY overpriced. Dollar Zone keep things fair and most importantly, my balloons always look great. This is where I'll continue to go!

Located adjacent to Wal*Mart in Cedar Knolls Plaza (formerly known as the Morris County Mall), One…read moreDollar Zone carries an impressive variety of merchandise in their small space with narrow aisles and cluttered shelves -- including non-perishable foods; tools and hardware; cleaning supplies, office and school supplies; disposable plates / cutlery and storage containers; greeting cards; and party supplies. Prices start at $1 and you'd be very hard-pressed to find an item for more than $5. The quality of the merchandise is more or less what you'd expect at that price point, but I'm occasionally surprised to find brand-name products on the shelves that would sell for two or three times as much (or more) at the big box discount retailer next door. My low review is based primarily on my recent experience in this location when I stopped in to purchase a padded a poly mailing envelope and wound up in a verbal argument with the cashier and his supervisor over the price charged for an item. There was a large handwritten sign taped on the shelf stating "6-Pack Envelopes - $1.50", so I grabbed a 6-pack and walked over to check out. There was no price marked on the package and the cashier turned to a supervisor standing nearby, who said without hesitation that it was $6. I quickly mentioned there was a large sign on the shelf that indicated the price was $1.50 for a 6-pack. The supervisor loudly accused me of lying to her and trying to steal from the store, then said the sign on the shelf wasn't right. When I suggested she take down the sign, she said she wasn't allowed to do that and instructed the cashier to charge me $1.50 for the item. I don't know if the staff was having a bad day but considering their poor attitude towards their customers, I'm not sure I'll return to this location any time soon.
