NOTE: my location is listed as Delray Beach. I do not live there full time…read more My location is as stated, within 5 miles of the Mall at Short Hills. I live within 5 miles of this mall in an "upscale" area and have shopped here since it opened. In the last two years, the Mall has transformed into an almost unaffordable shopping experience. Moderate price stores have closed in large numbers. The recent closing of the Gap is a case in point. Chico's, Banana Republic and Loft are no longer there. I used to take my grand daughter for a day of shopping before school opened for the year. No more. I cannot shop at Lois Vuitton, Fendi or the other stores at those price points. There are many " upper middle class" people who do not frequent ultra luxury stores. I find myself only going to the mall on an inclement day to do my daily walk.

I always feel like a princess when I walk through the designer wing of the Short Hills Mall…read more There's something delightfully absurd about walking past the chandeliers and perfectly polished floors while pretending I belong there. (In my defense, I am carrying an iced latte.) This is not your typical suburban mall. There are no fluorescent lights illuminating a food court full of teenagers eating pretzels. Instead, you'll find restaurants, cafés, valet parking, and enough designer stores to make you briefly consider whether you, too, are the kind of person who needs a silk scarf. The Short Hills Mall somehow manages to feel both luxurious and welcoming. Whether you're there to buy a designer handbag or simply wander around with a coffee and people-watch, there's something lovely about spending an afternoon here. Five stars for allowing me to feel rich for a few hours.

The mall is fairly big, with two floors, carrying a lot of familiar brand stores, and even ones that I'm sure some have never heard of. The interior has a modern look, which I'm sure had its renovation done a couple or several years back, but adds up looking clean and nice. It's in no condition of being a dead mall, despite there being a couple of closed stores, specifically anchor stores that don't exist anymore (pretty much all malls these days). The food court has a number to offer, with some of its usual eateries and a couple of ones that will blow your mind. Plenty of tables are provided to fit many people. For restaurants, there are Red Robin, The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, Muldoon's Steakhouse & Pub, and Chipotle Mexican Grill. I wouldn't mind coming back to this mall, but won't be anytime soon due to how far I am.

We were so excited to see these machines as they had genuine limited gachapon straight from Japan! The price to play each machine ranges from 4 to 5 tokens and each token is $1. This is quite expensive but for the experience I'd say it's worth trying once or twice! If you're an anime fan, they had quite a bit of gachapon from popular animes like demon slayer, spy x family and dragon ball z. There is a machine that accepts cash or card which will give you the tokens to play. We also found a cool cotton candy maker vending machine near the food court but it was super expensive, I believe $10 or so for one and the machine itself didn't look very well kept. All in all, had a fun experience here!

An overwhelming experience and structure to boot. From the outside it looks like an airport…read more Parking is easy to navigate and costs a nominal fee. The mall has 4 stories and many sections to explore. Fast casual food is clustered in a food court together (Vanessa's dumplings, pizza, ect). Sit down restaurants are a floor above (Yard House. Hibachi, ect). Bubble tea and ice cream shops are sprinkled throughout. Place has a mix of luxury stores (Gucci, Tiffany & Co, Hermes) and budget options (Uniqlo, Gap). I also saw a self serve wine bar and a champagne bar. What makes this place stand out is the indoor water park, the Nickelodeon theme amusement park, indoor ski slope with artificial snow and live theater. An H-Mart supermarket and food hall claim residence. They also have a large arcade with claw machines, video games and interactive games. A fun place to just shop, or have fun at the attraction parks.

The decor, lights and fixtures had a serene feel. This mall is huge. I happened to enter on a more quieter side. I strolled through the section of the mall I entered in and was in complete sensory overload because its so much to see and the stores were abundant. There were plenty of resting areas in the mall and of a more luxury appeal. This mall boast of an indoor amusement park. The park is not in my opinion work the cost. It appeared that Nickelodeon portion is a separate fee from the waterpark portion. The amusement park portion was in a more crowded and busier portion of the mall. Covering the entire mall didnt seem feasible in one day. I will get back another time as it is huge.

Because of that, I didn't know there was a Spencers for years (not that I was looking for that store, but it's just interesting that I never knew there was a pretty well known store in a corner for years). The food court is pretty good with a wide selection of items and this one area between the center of the mall and the food court hallway occasionally switched out. Store prices vary and the mall can't really control that, obviously, but there's a good variety of stores with their ranging prices so that you can find your preference. I only know of one bathroom area and while it's pretty big, it also feels hidden and is inconvenient if you need to go from anywhere besides the center of the mall. Also, there's great parking and a bus stop for commuters. There's also other stores located in the same area but not in the mall which is convenient for a variety of reasons.

They have just about everything on a shopping list so it fits your needs. The Bath and Body stores are good as is Hot Topic and Tates Menswear. The JCPennys is good too. Across the way is Dicks Sporting Goods. There are a couple movie theatres and plenty of food options. CAVA just opened near the Dicks as well. Parking is plentiful but like anyone else I'm jockeying for spots close. It's usually pretty safe and there are plenty of security guards but just be careful going to your car at night. A good mall.
