First off, I came in for two pastrami sandwiches which they promptly came out to me and said they didn't have any more pastrami. The lady was nice and said she would upgrade me to a different type of pastrami that actually cost more. Well whatever this crap was it didn't taste like pastrami at all. I got one soft bread and one crispy bread and the crispy bread could've chipped a tooth on a normal mouth so thank God I've got implants. Both sandwiches were painfully boring and I wish I had something good to say. I'm not sure what was put in my wife's sandwich either when she got explosive diarrhea less than 10 minutes after eating her sandwich? The cold cuts tasted off and I wanna say that they were rotten because I've been burping it all day. Something positive? I guess the store looked nice on the inside? Anyhow, without a doubt I will not be back because if Subway can make a better sandwich than you guys you're in trouble. And subway sucks by the way. My mom usually made the classic ham and cheese or turkey and cheese, so sandwiches never felt like something I got overly excited about. Then I tried the Turkado, and honestly... I get it now. That sandwich was packed with flavor and had the perfect balance of turkey, lettuce, and that signature sauce. I don't know what exactly is in that sauce, but do they share the recipe? Because there's something about it that makes the sandwich special. It ties everything together perfectly. I also tried the Baja Chicken, and this one honestly proved me wrong. I've never been the biggest fan of chicken sandwiches on that type of bread, but Board & Brew made me question that entire opinion because this sandwich was magnificent. Flavorful, satisfying, and way better than I expected. Now I'm sitting here realizing I probably need to work my way through the rest of the menu because there are still several sandwiches I haven't tried. Board & Brew might have officially turned me into a sandwich guy, and I honestly didn't see that coming.

I've tried their signature The Melrose, which consists of black forest ham, oven roasted turkey, bacon, melted White American cheese, topped with house slaw (lettuce, red onions, pepperoncini tossed in their "Melrose" spread) and tomato. I absolutely love this sandwich!! It's packed with so much flavor, and the bun absorbs all of the juicy goodness, making every bite incredibly satisfying. Runner-up for me is the Uncle Nikki. This one has Genoa salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone cheese, also topped with their house slaw. I've only ordered from here through Postmates, and every time their packaging is excellent--they wrap each sandwich in this cute wrapper, which adds a fun touch and keeps everything neatly intact and fresh by the time it arrives. Each sandwich is around $12 (as of June 2026), and I honestly think it's worth the price because these sandwiches are huge and so good!!

The restaurant has plenty of inside seating and a very nice covered patio area for outdoor dining. Orders are placed at the counter and brought to your table when it's ready. All of the employees we interacted with today were all friendly and helpful. The menu has SO many delicious sounding choices that I will have to make several return visits to try them all! But for today I chose their prosciutto & chicken panini. The sandwich was perfectly pressed and generously filled with carved chicken and all sorts of yummy goodness. This particular dish also had honey roasted almonds sprinkled inside, giving it a very surprisingly nice added crunch. I've been to all the other restaurants in this shopping center and Mendocino Farms is by far the BEST of them all. I've already made plans to come back next week :)

I had a board retreat that was supposed to be catered by Mendocino Farms, but due to an error, our catering order was never placed. With a room full of people expecting lunch and little time to find a solution, I called the restaurant hoping they could help. Jordan immediately went into problem-solving mode. She checked whether they could accommodate a last-minute catering order and even consulted her manager. Although they didn't have the necessary catering supplies, Jordan worked with me to find another option: individual sandwich and salad orders. The team rushed to prepare everything so I could pick it up and make it back to the retreat in time. They absolutely saved the day. The food was phenomenal, as always, but the service truly earned this review. Jordan and the team didn't cause the problem, yet they went above and beyond to help solve it. Everyone enjoyed lunch, and what could have been a major issue became a success. I'll continue coming back for my own meals, and Mendocino Farms Brea will be at the top of my list for future events. Great food earns return visits; service like this earns loyalty. Thank you to Jordan and the entire team for coming through when we needed it. An easy five stars.

I had the bulgogi panini and I wasn't sure what to expect but it surpassed anything I could imagine that panini would be. Whoever came out with this combo is a genius. You must try it! We ordered a variety of items, including the Bacon Breakfast Burrito, Scramble Me Softly Sandwich, Cheeseburger, and Ribeye Breakfast Burrito. One thing EggBred does well is their eggs! They were soft, fluffy, and delicious. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito was good overall, although I found the bacon a little drier than I expected.
