I recently got a root canal done at their Parker office and couldn't recommend them more. As someone that has a fear of the dentist/any procedure done, I have never felt more comfortable than I was at Syrpes and Pangborn. Run run away as fast as you can, this place is a scam and all about making money on the backs of people who need dental care. They put money before public health. The first flag was I left a message and they never called back, I should have known. I waited a week and called them back and they got me scheduled for an "evaluation" to determine if I needed a root canal. They were also eager to schedule back to back appointments on the same day "in case" I needed the root canal procedure. Don't kid yourself, they were recommending a root canal regardless. They also told me they would email me an estimate of any out of pocket expense prior to my appointment and never did. I got to the appointment and they had me sign a number of forms including an estimate that also included the actual root canal procedure (again they predetermined this was a need) They checked me in happily told me I needed to have a 3D scan. They also did two X-rays while I was sitting in the chair. The dentist (Pangborn) came tapped on my tooth, put a little cold medicine on it and said "yep" let's do a root canal and see if that works because I was having pressure issues. I wasn't having sensitivity to cold or hot, which made the evaluation that much more important. So I proceeded to ask him about the success of root canal and how long something like that would last and the guy responded that I was asking an "unethical" question and that there is "no certainty in medicine." Since he seem to be flying by the seat of his pants based on "let's see if it works" and his lack of providing any data around the success rate, I started to question if I wanted this joker to touch my mouth or not. In addition, I thought this was an evaluation appointment and a good opportunity to see if a root canal made sense or if an implant was a better option based on the "professional" expertise. Mind you he charged my insurance for an evaluation and was in the room less than 5 minutes. Once he realized I was questioning the worth of the root canal, the conversation pivoted to him telling me to think about it and reschedule without him providing any value to the benefit of a root canal vs implant as he was walking out of the room. As soon as I started to contemplate not using him he, it was clear that I was wasting his time. He was set on giving me the procedure whether I needed it or not. He couldn't even tell me if the X-ray offered any insight to the decision. As I was leaving they wacked me with a $376 bill ($290 for a "3D scan" he didn't even look at $86 for the cold medicine he put on my tooth) they never told me my insurance wouldn't cover those services a complete surprise. After calling around the next day, these scam artist charge almost double the cost for the scan. This was a complete scam for them to bill me for a scan he never used. His evaluation was solely based on the cold medicine, tapping on my teeth and me biting on a hard object. He should have his dental license suspended immediately. I'm making a complaint with DORA against his license and asking Delta dental to review his contract for fraud and making sure the referring dentist knows they are scamming people. My review is exactly as the other person left below. Go find an honest endodontists and run from this joker. He should be ashamed of himself for taking advantage of people in need of dental work. read more

I was sent here by my dentist. The assistant who did the X-ray was lovely. The doctor, however, spoke condescendingly to me throughout the entire appointment. Most concerning, however, was the number of times he touched me. There was no reason for it, but he repeated placed his hand on my shoulder, my head, and my arm. It made me extremely uncomfortable, and I had already decided, during the appointment, that I would not be returning. I paid my bill at reception when I left. Then, months later, I received a letter in the mail saying they were sending me to collections for $50 that I had not paid. At no point did I receive a phone call, email, or letter informing me of this payment owing. Then, upon receiving the letter, I left multiple messages with the office and have yet to receive so much as an acknowledgment of my call. If you want to go to a doctor who touches you uncomfortably and the sends you to collections for an inconsequential amount of money, then Dr. Syrpes fits the bill. read more

Thank goodness for Dr. Syrpes! I had a bad root canal done by another dentist, that got really infected! My new dentist suggested to me see Dr. Syrpes, and I was kind of scared to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect, but as soon as I met Dr. Syrpes, all my fears were put at ease when he placed his hand on my shoulder and assured me, he'd be able to fix it! Dr. Syrpes was able to eliminate my infection and save my tooth! Dr Syrpes is a kind and compassionate human being and I'm thankful for his help and the help of your amazing staff! Went here a few months ago for a root canal. I forget the doctors name but I think it started with a C. Did a great job. As a person in the medical field, he def had great bedside manners. Didn't feel a thing. I think its worth going to a specialist and spending money if you're having a more invasive procedure done. These people spend years sub-specializing and it showed. How many doctors can and do call and text their patients after the procedure? This was my experience with Dr. Cameron (Pangborn). Simply by sitting in the waiting room it was easy to sense the genuine concern for patients; the ethics; the high standards for conducting their business; and the impressive level of knowledge. The staff members were not simply working there. I sensed that they were really invested. Providers now have to respond in a professional manner to consumers who have learned just a little on the Internet. Dr. Cameron answered my questions wholeheartedly and succinctly. I am a general dentist and I've been sending my patients here for years. I am so confident with my patients who come here because they always return with the most raving reviews. There is an unfortunate stigma with root canal procedures over the years. It is no longer that way, and Dr. Syrpes, Pangborn and Lazarou will prove it to you. These doctors have always bent over backwards for our patients. You can't control when you have severe toothaches and you need it resolved ASAP. This group is the best. I came in after having a horrible experience with another dentist and I was in really bad shape. Dr. Syrpes and his staff are the best. My problem will take a few visits to completely fix but he did an amazing job. He is intelligent, empathetic and knows his craft. The service was fine, not above what any other specialist would do. As other recent reviewers have indicated though, the charges never cease. I was required to pay several hundred dollars up front, which I did, even though part of the imaging equipment was not working, so what I was being charged for was not actually done (they would do it next time, I was told . . . uh huh), and that insurance would cover the rest. Well, as it turns out, a little over a hundred dollars (drop in the bucket) was not paid by insurance, so, of course, I get billed. Too bad it was more than I was told -- that is my problem (integrity what?), and on top of all that, I started to get calls from a debt collector! For an amount just over a hundred dollars!?! The amount that was spent to collect it must have been several times what I paid! Wow -- get some perspective. I recommend going anywhere else, unless you want to pay some, and then pay some, and then pay little more, etc. read more

I was referred to Dr. Syrpes from my new wonderful dentist for a consult. Long story short I previously had 2 root canals performed on the same tooth 3 years ago by a different endodontist. I still had pain so was referred to Dr. Syrpes to see if I had a possible vertical root crack which meant an extraction. Dr. Syrpes was so kind to me and so knowledgable explaining each of my X-Rays to me. He adjusted my bite and we are hopeful that the pain will subside and this was causing the pain. So far so good! I trust this doctor. I know I am in good hands now. I am on Medicare and therefore have no dental insurance. I found their fees fair. I am reviewing the doctor not their payment policy! This doctor was superb and if you need a root canal or any other endodontic service I would highly recommend Dr. Syrpes. read more

I was referred to Dr. Syrpes by my general practioner about a year and a half ago. I had a bad tooth that I put off until one day it got to the point where I had massive tooth pain radiating through my face. I called Dr. Syrpes at 1am Saturday morning and left messages asking for help. Dr. Syrpes was kind enough to come in around 8am to relieve my pain. He was great at informing me about the situation. He treated my tooth and did a superb job at relieving my pain and saving my tooth. Recently, I had a similar situation occur with another tooth. The office staff called me and to my relief, informed me that they could fit me in Dr. Pangborn's schedule. Dr. Pangborn diagnosed the problem, cleaned up my tooth, and prepped it for a root canal. He also did a superb job at relieving my pain and saving my tooth. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Pangborn's work. I've had the opportunity to have both doctors treat my pain and I can't recommend them enough. The office is clean and the office staff are very helpful and accommodating. Front office staff is terrible, don't go here. The staff made a mistake with billing because I do have insurance. I was sent to collections by the office manager after only talking to me once about my bill. I don't have a problem meeting my obligations, I've already paid the collections people. read more

They don't do a root canal unless it is necessary and are not pushy. I needed a root canal a couple months ago and my dentist recommend Syrpes & Pangborn. Dr. Pangborn performed the procedure. I was 100% satisfied from the moment I entered the office. The staff was excellent and Dr. Pangborn was very professional and thorough. My root canal in and of itself was not a terrible procedure, but anxiety level was "elevated".
